Tadeo was our host for the day and he proved to be an excellent guide, our itinerary was packed with fun activities and delivered efficiently. Tadeo began by meeting us on the Mexican side of the border and delivered a charming introduction, he then guided us to Revolucion Street and began sharing the history of Tijuana with real warmth and care, any questions about the town were answered with a real breadth of knowledge. Tadeo guided us to a craft beer bar initially where we could also examine an art gallery, it was good fun! Tadeo then showed us around the rest of the street, we went through the markets, enjoyed street food, quesadillas from a local restaurant for lunch and 40 minutes of self exploration around the town! The tour was rounded off with tequila tasting before Tadeo led us back to the border. Overall the experience was exhilarating and lots of fun, Tadeo was an excellent host and I highly recommend booking this tour!

We went on a tour to Tijuana last minute and didn’t know what to expect, we met Tandeo at the border and he was super friendly right off the bat. We walked to the centre of the town, with Tandeo stopping to take photos of us and give us info along the way. It was a really great experience, as we wouldn’t have done it without a guide! I could only recommend the company and Tandeo specifically, as hes very engaging and energetic. It felt like we were hanging out with a friend! 5\5

My wife and I had an awesome time on our Crossing Borders: Tijuana Day Trip tour. Tadeo was an incredible guide and we highly recommend him. His knowledge of the history of Tijuana, the culture, the people, the local artists, the food....everything was perfect! He tailored our tour of the area based on the things we wanted to see....and his warm personality, humor, and laid back attitude made the whole experience so much fun. Thank you, Tadeo!!!

This tour was amazing! We really enjoyed our time in Tijuana with Victor as our tour guide. He put in the effort to make sure we had a great time, and shared a lot of great stories, and interesting facts about Tijuana, while taking us to some of the best shops and restaurants! We ended the tour with a tequila taste-testing, where we enjoyed the best tequila we've ever had (for those who don't like tequila, I can guarantee you'll enjoy the fruit flavored ones). I felt very safe throughout the whole experience. Overall, super fun trip, and I now really want to visit again! Also side note - for those concerned about crossing the border to arrive at the tour, it's super quick and easy. Walking across the boarder is super smooth, and you meet your tour guide right where the border crossing ends. If meeting your tour guide over the border is stopping you from signing up, don't let it - this was literally no hassle at all and was quick and safe. I will warn you though, crossing back to the U.S. will take a long time. There was a bus service where we were able to pay $20 each to drive right to customs, which we ended up doing and it was relatively quick. It would have been hours of wait time had we not done this (we were arriving back on a Saturday evening, so this probably contributed to the especially huge line). Something to consider when planning things out!

Visiting Mexico can be fun and intimidating at the same time but Border Tours made sure that we only experienced the former part :) Right from 2 days earlier to our tour to the end of the tour Tadeo was in constant contact with us. Due to Covid the tour operators do not cross the US border and we have to meet them after crossing the border, but again this is super easy. After meeting Tadeo he made sure to explain everything in detail and answered all our questions. It has been a memorable first time in Mexico. Make sure to ask for Tadeo!

Do NOT use this miserable scam of a company. Border Tours is fraudulently stealing money from paying customers. I paid for a tour, drove hours to the meeting spot, and the tour operator NEVER showed up. I called the tour operator and company I booked them through and was unable to reach them. Waited at the meeting location for hours and the entire day was ruined. After filing several complaints with involved parties, this tour operator proceeded to fraudulently lie about the situation. The tour operator first informed the travel company that they had proof that they were at the meeting location. They said they had a photo of a "man in a mask" and that they were at the location. They said they had screenshots of phone calls and texts sent to me. All of this were lies. A few days later, they changed their story, claiming how they were UNABLE to reach me because I had booked the tour through a different company and they weren't provided with my information. This is a complete 180 from their first story. Apparently they had changed the meeting location and did not inform me. I believe they were too lazy to cross the border as border crossing times were around 1.5 hours. Due to their laziness and unprofessionalism, they probably changed the meeting location from the US side to Mexico side; or they never bothered to show up and just wanted to pocket the money anyway. In the end, this company STOLE money for a service they never provided. I would advise everyone to AVOID this company. This company is SCAMMING customers. Border Tours is DISHONEST and intentionally defrauding customers by never showing up to provide the service and even worse, LYING and DECEIVING the travel agencies you book this service through. Do NOT use Border Tours. STAY AWAY!!!

Tadeo took me on the Taco Tuesday tour. He was a very knowledgeable and witty tour guide. He picked the best taco restaurant and recommended different books and ideas for me to learn more Spanish. I leaned a lot of history and fun facts while I was in Tijuana. I highly recommend this tour! Ask for Tadeo

Tadeo was our tour guide, he is so knowledgeable about the area and Mexico too. He showed us amazing spots for our street food tour and we tried tacos, horchata, quesadillas, and margaritas and tequila along with teaching us about Mexican food culture. The food was great and everything was fresh! We also shopped around at the local markets and learned about the history of Tijuana. If you want to explore Tijuana definitely check out Tadeo and Border Tours options to introduce you to the city.

My tour guide Alex was great! It was nice to see Tijuana from a local’s perspective. Alex took me for street corner birria tacos that were delicious, El Pastor tacos from a local spot that were tasty. Followed by Aguas frescas that was so good and refreshing on a hot day. we also went to a cool bar and had Tijuana’s take on the Cuba libre. We went to a brewery and had a delicious pizza that was different but sooo good! We went to a tequila tasting & we went to a museum & lots of shopping, it was safe and fun. Highly recommend! Alex was knowledgeable and great to hang with!

Taedo was one of the friendliest tour guides I’ve encountered, not only was he knowledgeable but also very flexible regarding any requests we made of him. I highly recommend anyone that is looking for a tour of Tiajuana to ask for Taedo.

Sergio was the most friendly tour guide I've ever had my entire life. Both the street food tour and the craft beer tour were amazing. I had the privilege of visiting the beaches of Tijuana, several craft breweries, eating tacos de birria, Telefonica Gastro Park, even paid Rosarito a visit for a very rad Baja hoodie! I absolutely plan on using his services again and I hope to visit again someday. Gracias, amigo! On a side note, I received an e-mail from the border-tours.com email address which contained an obfuscated VBscript file. I wouldn't open any such file.

I had a great experience on the Tijuana Toe Dip 5 hour Tour. My guide was Tadeo and he was great. He is quite the historian and was so knowledgeable about the city. He even knew the history of the food we were eating at the restaurant where we stopped, which was delicious! Tadeo was very courteous, flexible and easy going, making sure I was satisfied during the tour and that it met my expectations every step of the way. My favorite part of the tour was the Tijuana Cultural Center. I also enjoyed the craft beer brewery stop and tasting. I had a private tour, and I felt safe and secure from San Ysidro to Tijuana and back again. It was great to see Tijuana as the locals experience it. I highly recommend the tour company and also Tadeo.

I visited Tijuana a few weeks ago, both Fernando and Tadeo made the visit a great experience! I altered my tour as it was only me who joined Tadeo, and he was so accommodating. Tijuana is 30 minutes away from San Diego, and is 131 years old. Their monumental arch, which resembles the one located in St. Louis, MO was inaugurated in 2001. Tadeo explained that a flat screen was added to the arch to give it a Times Square feel, especially for viewing events. I learned a bit about Tijuana, then turned my visit into a gastronomy tour. Don't judge me...I love tacos! The first stop was Border Psycho Brewery for mojitos, margaritas, and people watching, which followed with a visit to Taconazo Rio for an array of taco delights. After breaking a bit, we drove to Puerto Nuevo, a fishermen’s town. Angel Del Mar did not disappoint with fresh lobster, and patio views of the Pacific Ocean!

We used the Marriott website to book a Taco Making excursion in Tijuana when we visited San Diego, CA. We met Taddeo and his companion at the border and from there had the best time. These two gentleman had a ton of energy and were very excited to have us. It was a pleasure learning about historical facts in Tijuana at the same time making tacos, which were delicious. Thank you for a great adventure! Follow up: they promised that they would send us the photos taken, but we never received any photos of our expereince, so sad!!

I took the Tijuana Local Walking Tour from San Diego and it was a great experience! Both Tadeo and Fernando are absolutely amazing. They are very passionate and knowledgeable about places and their history. The tour included tacos, margaritas and tequila tasting. It was very well planned and we saw all the landmarks of Tijuana. I strongly recommend this tour. It was worth every minute!
