Safe and clean private beach for military personnel and their dependents. Not super big but it has enough space. There is a nice view of the bay and a small gym and running/ walking track next to it. Great for kids and families!

You must have a military ID or someone who has it to come with you to enter thru the gate. Military personnel won't let you enter. The park is beautiful & next to the beach.

1st time visiting this area. A small to medium sized picnic area located on a military base. I believe I saw 3 cabanas 2 with grills. A small beach that was just right for the crowd. Clean bathrooms which is very important to me. Play areas for children. Very well maintained and beautiful views.

A great family area for military folks, playground, pavillions, softball field and gym all right next to each other. And they have completed filling in the beach area with sand so you can get down to the water's edge.

I love this base, very small and relaxing, seen army and navy bases around the country but come here just to watch the ocean. Kids enjoy searching for sand dollars. Stores have the basics (hard liquor), nearby Subway and chow hall, endless views of boats coming and going.

Amazing hidden gem if a park to take your kids if you're military. Nice clean park, great gym, and the views and recreation are awesome. The only problem I have with this place is that u didn't know it existed for the first 2 years I was stationed here in SD. The local events they do around the holidays are great. This last winter they made snow for the kids to play with.

Nice, private cove and beach. The beach side requires climbing down the rocks. The cove is by the ships and behind the running track. It has lots of seagulls and pelicans so beware of bird poop. There's also a sign to beware of stingrays when in the water.

It shouldn’t be called “smugglers” anything. It’s a navy base, no one is smuggling anything there.
