This is a fantastic local watering hole. With a fantastic selection of 18 beers on draft and happy hour deals on local San Diego brews that you can't beat anywhere else and free pool, this place tops my list of worthy bars and local pubs in Pacific Beach. Always a great time there, and the beertenders make the experience all the better.

The Dog is a small dive bar, nothing flashy but a chill atmosphere and friendly staff. Drinks arent too pricey, 7$ tall cans and 8/9$ craft beers. No hard liquor or cocktails though. Its also probably the only Lions bar in SD and on game day it comes to life, the regulars put on charity events that are usually pretty successful. all around a very cozy bar

Randomly popped in here visiting town. Tanner is the best host, regulars and off duty staff were extremely hospitable. Felt instantly at home. Would recommend to anyone who loves a cozy dive.

We felt at home here. The bartender introduced himself by name, and spoke to us by name. It's small, trendy, and upbeat. Love the selection and the pool tables! Great happy hour specials from open to 9. Wonderful bar snacks, too!

It's soon socially awkward there, OMG so Cali. There's some good stinkholes though.

Super nice bartenders! Great service! I recommend coming here for pool between the hours of 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. this bar can get really crowded at night but during the day it's perfect to come out and enjoy a game or two of pool while enjoying a brew.

The Dog will forever be missed. Sadly this establishment has closed it's doors without further notice to re-open. The bartenders were friendly, quick, and overall awesome guys. Free pool every day is something that you just can not find anywhere. The pool community here was truly amazing. Also with 19 beers on tap, this was best spot to go and chill with friends in PB. Rest in peace The Dog.

Never tried the food but the service was amazing for one bartender working. The people and the music was good. If you’re looking for.a place that isn’t trying too hard, come here.

Beer / wine only and pool tables are free, so don't expect to play. Large groups of people "claim" tables for the whole night. Better options in Pacific Beach.

Great beers on tap. Friendly environment Every so often they change taps for a good variety, tastes and love for all palates. 2 Pool tables. Good music. And a hot dog stand outside.

4 words: free pool, no cover Dogs are welcome. But bring a leash. Sushi next door the tavern is across the street .must be 21 or over even on patio.
