Best place to see San Diego skyline. It was very quiet, clean and peaceful when we visited in night. Few benches to seat and soak up beauty of city.

This spot in Coronado is the most relaxing spot ever. It it completely silent the only sound you hear is the waves crashing into the rocks with a soothing fizz. You could bring your family or partner here to just have a good talk or just enjoy the view and relax. There are benches for you to sit and stare right into the abyss of the ocean and just over the horizon is downtown. Very accessible with parking and almost never packed.

My husband and I got married here a few years ago. Fantastic spot for a small informal quick ceremony at sunset and no permit was necessary for under 20 people. Absolutely gorgeous skyline and super quiet!

This is one of the most beautiful little parks I've ever been to. Nothing elaborate. Just a simple little outcropping on Coronado Island with a few benches and a walk path, but the view and vibe is what makes it golden. Just as the name suggests, you get a great view of the bay from the island and look across to see the city. At night time it's spectacular to see all the lights. You can even see the USS Midway clearly in all its old glory. It's also a decent little fishing spot. I've never hooked anything big there, but you really can't beat the vibe of the location and I have visually seen some big bass hunting during morning high-tide.

Bay View Park is at the end of my street in Coronado on I Avenue and First Street with a great view of the beautiful San Diego Bay. It’s a excellent place to ride your bike and do a quick stop while doing a circumnavigation ride around Coronado Island. My Daughter and Granddaughter both got married there many years ago. I’m proud to be in the Coronado Rotary that donated the cement bench to relax on while enjoying the beautiful view. 🤗❤️

It’s beautiful at night overall San Diego is a coastal city located in the southern part of California, United States. It is known for its mild year-round climate, beautiful beaches, and numerous attractions such as Balboa Park, San Diego Zoo, and USS Midway Museum

This is one of the most peaceful spots to just sit with a nice view in San Diego. I sat here to meditate on a Sunday morning and was pleased to have 5 other people there, since everyone was just as quiet and relaxed as me. A great pit stop if you're riding your bike around Coronado. That's how I found it. Will probably be back again.

Great views of the city of San Diego, the skyscrapers, the Shell, Convention center etc. Beautiful at nights to see all the lights, especially when the water is flat!

People are always there, very tiny park, 3 benches all together, & plays classical music all the time. But the view is... OMG. WOW!

In A Nutshell: -If you are looking for the perfect backdrop for photos w/ downtown San Diego in the background then this is the place to do it. -Bay View Park is very tiny, but it encapsulates everything you need for a nice profile pic. -You can find free parking on the street. Overall, this is a really easy to find park w/ a perfect background to take some photos.

A great little park with a great big view! A few benches and a peaceful setting so if you go, just sit down, be quiet and let everyone else enjoy it, too. Leave no trash or dig waste behind! Keep Coronado beautiful!

Nice little park in Coronado to relax and enjoy the views of San Diego Bay.

  • 1/5 Audrey B. 3 years ago on Google
Please note that this is a very small park, and that fishing is not legal here. The rocks behind the houses on 1st Street are privately owned by the houses, which is why the rocks look different behind each house. We didn't notice that. A homeowner called the police on fishermen who went on the rocks and they were ticketed for trespassing and fishing without a license. One of the guys said he didn't have any identification with him, and that conversation didn't go well with the police and miraculously he found his ID. Bayview Park ends where the houses around it begin, please be aware of that. Also as I am typing this (June 26) Bayview Park is actually CLOSED and will be closed for the next few weeks--- Not due to Corona but due to a sewer repair that required a complete excavation.

A hidden gem of an overlook, the only public space on the east side of Coronado where one can stand at the bay's edge and take in the SD cityscape across the water. It's especially beautiful at night!

Bay View Park is a small, secluded shoreline park with shade trees, benches and nice landscaping on the island of Coronado. The park is named after the great views it offers of the downtown skyline and bay at this almost secret location. When you are on the bench at this place, the rest of the world drops away behind and around you and makes the views of San Diego “pop out” even more.
