"Family style" only if you cook your families food in the microwave. Food was lukewarm, and it looked/tasted like it was reheated. We had to continually ask for things such as water refill, condiments, etc. Food was highly overpriced, $26 for this plate of nachos.

I really enjoyed the time spent there. Tacos were awesome, margarita.... yes, I checked other comments and I have to say, that it was one of the best margarita I ever had. Live music, or semi-live, I should say, was really nice. Everyone around very helpful and nice. Personally, I recommend this place.

Being in the heart of old Town San Diego, this place is touristy and a bit pricey for what you get. They have a beautiful outdoor dining area with live music from the plaza area right next door. The service was decent, the food could use a bit more flavor, we ordered the expensive molcajete dish with shrimp, chicken, carne asada, and chorizo! We expected so much flavor with all the variety of meats but it was all a bit bland. The menu states it's for 2 people and the meats definitely are but the side dishes beans and rice were only enough for one.( Which isn't stated in the menu) I had a basic margarita for $16 and it was basic. But the atmosphere is great and the live music was nice. They don't have a bathroom you have to use the one outside in the little plaza which is disgusting. Do not need to go into detail about it 😒

We had a very fun waitress who brought out copious amounts of salsa and chips. She also made sure we had our refills before we had our first. Hahaha. Live entertainment- a sweet Latina soloist. Atmosphere was comfortable and cool. We didn't order too many meals but what we got was simple and as expected. The guacamole was outstanding!

Great vibe. Chips kinda stale seeming. Salsa was good. Really slow service. I got the marg flight and it was pretty good.

Fantastic food! Great service and great place to relax while listening to live music. I just wish the salsa had more flavor!

We have lived here for 30 years and never experienced this restaurant. We were walking through old town and heard great authentic live Mexican music and walked over. Ended up really enjoying the entire atmosphere and cocktails and our waiter Diego was awesome and really represented this restaurant well. If I were the owner, I would be very ecstatic to have an employee like this. As a local small business owner, I know how hard it is to find quality people and Diego is absolutely one of them. Come enjoy this hidden gem in old town.

Food was great, and the one man band performer was awesome. Service was awful. My wife had to ask 3 or 4 times for water.

This is my favorite place to eat in San Diego. They have live entertainment, the food is absolutely amazing and you are eating outside. The atmosphere is great. The entertainment is a live singer playing his own music on his guitar. I was there in June of 2024 and it was so refreshing to hear such authentic music that fit perfectly with dinner. The service was top notch as well.

Really strange experience. Food was fine, but not worth the long wait and poor service. Waited 30 minutes to be seated, once seated waited another 20 minutes for anyone to take our order. Food took a while to come out, and they forgot about our drinks, we had food before we had any water. And it was a hot afternoon in the summer. Waiter only came to our table once to bring the food. We wanted hot sauce and had no one to ask, didn't have cutlery for a while, and never received a water refill. The place wasn't full, lots of empty tables during a holiday weekend. There was only one guy working there, it almost seemed like they didn't even bother to have more employees to serve people.

We brought 12 of us for a birthday and it was perfect! The food was delicious and Joel was on top of things. We have been here before but not with a larger party. This was a great place for our get together.

I love this restaurant I've been there before. They normally have life music playing. Unfortunately the last time I was there it was one of the days where San Diego decided to let it Pour rain. So I missed out on the entertainment but the food made up for it. If you're going to go to Old Town for dinner make sure you go a little bit early if you have reservation so you can find a parking spot. There are few and far between and the parking lots get filled up quick.

We stopped by for a drink while visiting the old town. They have a Tequilla Taster special, 3 shots of a variety of Tequila's. Since we were not in anyway Tequila experts, we sked our server his recommendation and we went for the Favorite pack. I have to say that this brought back some college memories! The Tequila was great, all 3 of them shots. We didn't eat there so I can't say about the food but the service and Tequila were A+.

I came here with my family the day after Thanksgiving and was drawn to this restaurant that had live music nearby. It took them over an hour to bring out our food. I ordered the chicken sopes with rice and beans, and I was super disappointed with all of it. Everything lacked flavor! The only thing I liked was the salsa. The prices were very high especially considering the quality of food. They did give us a 20% discount for taking a long time, but it still didn't make up for the less than average food. Side note: good luck if you need to use the restrooms. The only restrooms available are in a centralized area and you can expect a line.

It was so nice eating outside. We ordered a steak burrito. It was big, flavored perfect for for us. Chips and medium spice salsa were yummy and we got unsweetened ice tea. Perfect place to eat when fun shopping in old town.

The atmosphere is great The food wasn’t neither were the drinks The skinny margarita claims to be made with agave but I can easily tell there was simple syrup in it, u can easily know the difference. The people who work there are nice, our group just didn’t get a good feel for the drinks or food. It’s nice to sit outside and listen to music The drinks are about $17-22 each appetizers about 10-15 so it’s not going to be for the ones who are looking for an economical spot. Seems like you’re paying more for the place and atmosphere than the food

For a little quieter experience , delicious food and wonderful service don’t overlook this place. Thank you Miss Olivia for taking care of us. We had a steak burrito, chilaquiles, and fresh made horchata. Delicious!
