Medical clinic

😠 For a hospital who claims to be the best, they are by far the WORST. My mother has been going back and forth to this hospital and Kaiser in general after having a mass that needs to be removed as an EMERGENCY. You guys have no empathy for the people who need genuine help and care with health issues.... People often mention Kaiser, appointment, care, time, wait, blood, people, doctor, doctors, great,

For a hospital who claims to be the best, they are by far the WORST. My mother has been going back and forth to this hospital and Kaiser in general after having a mass that needs to be removed as an EMERGENCY. You guys have no empathy for the people who need genuine help and care with health issues. If I could give the company 0 starts I would. Beyond unprofessional, and supposedly “booked” 1-2 months in advanced even thought the dr ordered what needed to be done as an emergency. DO BETTER!

Kaiser is the worst health care I have encountered. They denied my request to see a cornea specialist, yet general ophthalmologists cannot address my eye issues. After 5 months, I am still struggling with my vision. I am very miserable and depressed so I made appointment with Kaiser mental health therapist. On our first session, therapist didn’t show on our zoom meeting. Now I am back to rescheduling which is a pain since every appointment with ophthalmologist or therapist is at least 6 weeks out! In response to Kaiser’s reply: I contacted member services more than a month ago. After being kicked around/transferred to different departments and many hours of waiting, I finally filed a grievance after a week of battling with member services. Kaiser denied my grievance stating that they can handle my case! But nothing has been done since then! My vision is still impaired!

Kaiser is a money machine. They only care about the shareholders' rewards. They push drugs worse than criminals. They outsource EVERYTHING they can to be cheap. So you get seen by someone who is working 3 places under paid and stressed. See a doctor haha on the phone on the Zoom oh in person wait at least 1 month and address 1 thing. Kaiser is a nightmare .

It seemed as though it was "way out in the boonies," it took 2 busses, a trolley ride and some bicycling to get there but it was worth it, as they had a very comprehensive Vision Center where an ophthalmologist tested my eyes and wrote a script for bifocals, then some very helpful people at their eyewear center helped me pick out a good frame and the ordered the glasses. It took about 2 1/2 weeks for them to be made but I just got a text saying the new glasses are there and are ready for pickup. :-)

Kaiser is a non profit yet the CEO makes Over $15 Million dollars a year, ($7,400 an hour) They can afford to pay more for qualified Drs & nurses!! Kaiser has a lot more patients but yet not more Drs. in the San Diego area. They need a Lot more Drs & nurses. I've been a Kaiser customer for over 35 years. I've seen the changes and it's not all for the better. My Dr. Is fine, but Not enough time is allotted for Drs. to be with patients. Drs. Aren't machines. Kaiser shouldn't be run like a factory for goodness sake.

WORST SERICE EVER - I don't even think my doctors will be mad at me for this review, they seem overworked, understaffed, and always a step behind. They're constantly in bad moods. Almost every appointment I ever made here was cancelled and some I couldn't reschedule for months. Their nurses constantly call my phone and then hang up after 2 rings as their 'attempt to get in touch with me' which means if I don't pick up in those 2 rings, my appointment is never scheduled or considered missed and I have to reschedule. The doctors treat me like they're running through a checklist as fast as they can so they can get me out the door but handle as many things as possible, probably because they know they likely will not be able to get to me again in a few months. I have never been more sick than in the past year, and it's because of the lack of attention, lack of care, lack of thoughtfulness, and lack of intention displayed by the terrible care team I was introduced to at Kaiser. I have no clue what the causes are in this business, but it doesn't seem like it's an expertise problem or even an issue with the doctors, it feels deeper rooted in the business. The doctors seem constrained and don't strike me as bad people - nonetheless, they are in a position to make mistakes, they don't think through my illnesses, and I am leaving Kaiser as soon as possible to save my own life - I fear if I stay here, something will be missed and a symptom will not be caught in time to spare my life. Kaiser will be the death of me if I stay, I just know it. They do not take the time to consider possible outcomes. AND FOR ANYONE WHO NEEDS LABWORK REGULARLY, this is the MOST EXPENSIVE LABS I have ever incurred 'in network' and the pharmacy CONSTANTLY overcharges me for things that I have to 'wait/not buy' until they resolve their compliance issues handle medication coverage accurately. I've had to wait more than 2 months for a medication I need every day causing me tons of issues. DO NOT SWITCH TO KAISER INSURANCE AND DO NOT SEEK CARE HERE.

It looks intimidating when you go to the lab to get blood work because there’s so many people waiting.. but they are super quick. The downside, is they the phlebotomists are not always friendly.. they are just trying to get through people as fast as they can and maybe that’s just how it is in a hospital lab setting. As a phlebotomist myself, I didn’t feel 100% comfortable with the girl who took my blood, she could have been nicer. But maybe she’s stressed because of the high volume. Who knows. I don’t think everyone there is like that, but I haven’t had the best experiences. Edit to add: there was in Assuming some kind of supervisor around the laboratory area screaming at the people checking patients in “BREAK!!” As she walked by a few times. And i felt like that was kind of inappropriate lol.. just go up to your employees and tell them it’s break time.

I checked in and paid my copayment on my phone, and had zero wait when I walked in and sat down. Literally it was 1 minute. The nurse helped set me at ease before taking my blood pressure, and told me to close my eyes and take a deep breath before starting the test. That made a difference, and I had a good reading. Then it was only 3 minutes for the doctor to come in. Couldn’t have been smoother. It was a great day at Kaiser!

The staff and doctors are very nice. Kaiser's policies are not friendly for patients. Doctors are unable to help you due to all the policies of kaiser. I have been trying to get blood drawn for Uber a year every time.I go they are unable to get my blood draw is draw completed. Then I have to call the doctor's back and have them re put in the orders over and over and over again. I was asking for an appointment to meet with the pic team to be able to draw my blood with an appointment with the ulter sound. Apparently you can only get that if you're in the ER. Then I needed an appointment for Vericus veins. They want you to do some type of video class for 2 hours. That is absolutely ridiculous.I do not have 2 hours to sit in front of a computer.Or my phone to get an appointment with the doctor. Then if you have to have cataract surgery, you have to do the same thing and watch a video about the surgery. If you have cataracts, you're not able to see the computer screen so they're policies.Do not make sense at all and They are not for the patient's Best interest. And if you're lucky you get cataracts when you're older. So people who are older might not even have a computer or know how to work. When policies are absolutely ridiculous.

This review is for Kaiser OBGYN but mostly for Sarah Beniquez Briere. It's a bit long, but very over due. I was lucky(?) enough to meet Sarah at infertility in Point Loma while trying to conceive after infertility and miscarriages. After a round of treatment and an other miscarriage, we had a spontaneous pregnancy after HSG so I was referred back to OBGYN Vandever since the pregnancy wasn't a result of treatment. Obviously because of the prior losses and difficulties I was stressed, nervous, anxious, and cautiously hopeful that this time baby would stick. I had a first appointment with Dr Vance that went great, she is lovely, but my second appointment who walks in but Sarah. Right away, I knew I wanted her to take care of my and this little bean. She made me feel calm, heard, loved and cared for. And not just because it was her job, but because I mattered and the pregnancy mattered to her. Every time I had a question or concern she had an answer for me, in person or over the phone/email. Not a nurse, her. Every time I came to an appointment it felt personal and like she cared, there were questions for me about me, life, and follow up from prior appointments, and also explanations for everything that was happening and what was to be expected. She would sit down and listen to me in a way that never made me feel rushed or just a patient that she had to get through that can some times be the case in health care. I know a huge part of my pregnancy being successful is because of Sarah. I recommend her to everyone that I know who is looking for a NP on obgyn or who is pregnant. I can't wait to see her again regularly and would get pregnant with baby number two right now to make that happen. If she ever left I would follow she is that magnificent. She is hands down the most perfect example of what you want in your doctor and what Kaiser should strive for in their providers. Karen (&Nolan)

I've been a member for over 3 years, I love KAISER and the services they provide to me and my daughter. I went in to the Vandever location for my flu shot and picked up some medication. First I went to the second floor for the shot, the LVN who did it was nice , gentle and made me confirm my information, it was no wait no problems. I then went downstairs and got medication. I was called quick and didn't wait in line . The cashier was nice and polite and offered to go get the pharmacist to go over medication but I declined. Whole ordeal was quick and painless.

I made an appointment for 9:20 am. I had to check in on the 3rd floor. I was told to go to the 2nd floor walk in line. If I made an appointment, why am I being sent to a walk in clinic?? But, Rene Strickland, managed to get all of us with appointments (6-7 of us) back upstairs to the 3rd floor nurse's clinic and there they took care of us. I was able to get both of my vaccines.
