This place started out very nice until they proved to have the worst customer service. Fernando who is the manager was extremely disrespectful and rude about a promise that was made by his employees the previous day because of a boat malfunction which resulted in 10 of us waiting for 2 hours. He stated things that are unreasonable which contradicted what another employee(Alicia) told me 10 seconds prior on the phone. When questioning if thats truly a matter of fact, he became irate and said " are you calling me a liar? This call is now terminated" and hung up. Jack and Alicia were professional but ironically their manager has anger issues and isn't very qualified to deal with any problems. I really don't care about renting a boat from them but when I promise my little ones something and think we had a promise from a reputable company it's sucks to have that promise broken all across the board. I hope this business builds up some integrity and if not then hope the competitors who are around them put them out of business. Maybe one day I can be that competitor and give people great service, excellent prices and not such angry management

I really wish I can leave ZERO stars, disappointed 10 of us and Fernando was extremely rude over the phone. We went on 05/26 and were told to come back for another boat instead of the one that didn't work, called and was told off by Fernando. Don't waste your time, money or energy with these people.

Your prices are a joke.

Admittedly, Fernando’s reviews initially deterred us, but we ultimately tried Action Sports any way and LOVED them! James is now manager (so don't let Fernando deter you) and is phenomenal. But Jeremy takes the cake on sales and customer service! We rented jet skis, kayaks, and going back for bikes! We've had the time of our lives, made great memories, and have laughed a lot! Thanks, guys; you are great, and we’ll definitely be back!

We rented a boat from the Loews location in San Diego Bay and it couldn't even drive correctly, the left turn was so difficult to make we had to use 2 people to turn the boat left and the boat almost went under the water because the boat was unsafe, we were lucky that we survived this trip, this happened on mother's day we were celebrating it and this was the worst experience ever. First and last time we will rent from this location.

I needed to rent a Duffy electric boat for about 4 to 5 hours March 2021. I live in the Coronado Cays. I went to their facility, to take a look at their equipment before I rented. The guy that was there was really nice, but the boat was junk. He said that it only could be rented for 3 hours. I thought this was kind of strange, as a Duffy electric boat go up to 6 to 7 hours on a full charge. This told me that the batteries were bad. I declined. I then noticed on their website that they are getting new equipment. So I called for a 4th of July rental. A 21' deck boat. When I called to ask about the vessel, a very rude man stated that I could only take it out for 3 hours. Again I thought this odd. I politely asked why, he said that it was because the fuel Gauge does not work. Helpful hint, if you're gonna have a boat rental company, make sure that your equipment is Is an proper operating order. This kind of stuff is dangerous!

I had a blast at loews action sport rentals!! Best location and great staff. The manager Fernando was so nice and had so much information on all equipment. The dock hands, gavin, matt, and Jeremy were also so helpful and patient. They got me out on the water and when I came in, they were standing by ready to help me back on the dock. Prices are fair, and because the staff is great, I left a sweet tip for the guys. I will definitely come back every time I'm in town. Plus side, they have bikes too!! Took a nice bike ride into coronado island and had a late lunch, walked around, and made many wonderful memories

Great sailboats rented at a fair price. Staff was very nice and helpful. Sailing in San Diego Bay was very peaceful. It's a wide, open bay without a lot of traffic while we were there.

Would never go there, this place has the worst customer service and their manager Fernando is absolutely off the hinges. Very disappointed in how they treat their customers.

This is for the Action Sports at the Loewes Coronado marina. We had a great time sailing the Capri-22, the staff member Jeremy gave us very clear advice and coached us on how to get in and out without using the motor. He also made sure the motor was ready too… The bay had a nice ocean breeze but was sheltered from waves. We sailed up past the Midway and we saw dolphins on the way back!

Excellent service. Also one of the best experiences you can have sober and with clothes on!!

We rented from these folks two days in a row. The office and dock guys were extremely helpful and explained things in such a way that we all understood. When the equipment didn't work, they swapped it out with no questions asked and a smile. One dude even quickly hopped in a kayak to come out and tow us back in when the jet ski wouldn't restart. I highly recommend renting from Action Sports.

Beautiful, secluded location, kind and helpful staff. Hotel Parking voucher was provided by the office. The only dilemma for us was that we rented a 22 ft sail boat and the "channel" from and to the Marina was narrow and very difficult to navigate. We had to ask for assistance to redock. Sailing from this place should be reserved for top notch experts and it would be better to be 2 adults in that case. If you are not renting a sail boat, I think this place is a gem.

Paul, Edwin and Gavin made our experience today perfect. They were kind, patient and considerate of our booking requests. Our visit was during the pandemic (dear God let it be over by the time you read this) and they had hand sanitizer available and masks were worn by employees. Paul and Co. took extra special care of us. We felt appreciated and respected. Way to go guys, we will come see you again. Definitely recommend!

Fernando and Nate Dog were very friendly and extremely helpful in assisting us in renting a boat while at Loews Resort. We had so much fun that we decided to rent it again the following evening. They ensured that my family and I felt comfortable with the rental. We came back so excited from our excursion that we forgot our daughter’s stroller, so they called and let me know we forgotten it and kept safe inside in the shade. What a great organization and team!

Sailing was great, the mess at the counter was not. I prepaid for my sail but had to fill out forms and wait in line twice. Why couldn't I have done this online? Or at least print the forms at home to expedite getting on the water. All in all a great experience except for checking in procedure.

So they said we were 15 minutes late coming back with skidoo’s. I find this to be unfair for two reasons. 1. It take 10/15 just to go through the canal region where you can’t power it and so if I’m only riding an hour it takes a good 20/25 minutes just to do that part back and forth. 2. No one was waiting outside and we circled around for at least 5/10 minutes waiting for them to come out to get us to load us on the dock. So I’m charged an extra $55 for that! Not fair at all.

Great location, wonderful and helpful staff. Really good boats to rent. The only downfall was the fact that the radio did not work in the boat but overall the experience and joy overrode the disappointment of not having the radio.

All went very well renting the 20’ Hurricane speed boat. Only reason we wouldn’t give a 5 star review is the steering wheel was very hard to use. I’m usually the one who drives the boat but it needed more muscle power so I turned it over to my husband. I’m guessing it just needs lubrication.
