10/10 They never miss! I've been here three times in one week (rough week) lol and every time I've left happy and satisfied. The staff is friendly and quick! They're all hard working and doing great.

Great food, friendly service, salsa bar, clean and inviting environment. Original beer battered fish tacos, with cabbage, white sauce, mild salsa are delicious. I had the burrito especial this time. Grilled all natural chicken raised without antibiotics, fresh guacamole, citrus rice, black beans, lettuce, roasted chipotle salsa, salsa fresca and chipotle sauce. Served on a warm flour tortilla with tortilla chips. You can't go wrong with Rubio's!

I keep having issues with adding my credit card to the app. I explained this to the manager, Sean. I told him I couldn’t order on the app, hence get the online rewards, and so I asked him if he can give me the discount manually since the app is not allowing me to add my card. He said ‘no’. Then he asked how would he know that I wont reuse the discount on the app if he gave me the discount manually? That was a bit offensive, but nonetheless, I ordered without the reward. A few days later I went to a different location and explained what was happening with the app. The manager there was happy to apply the discount manually and solve the issue. I was pleasantly surprised that the second location was able to accommodate and resolve it manually, yet I was more annoyed at this first location, with Sean in particular, for refusing to help and resolve this. Sean doesn’t seem to be manager material. (FYI, to Rubio’s, I deleted the app and downloaded again to see if that resolves the issue, it did not)

One of my favorite kind of places to eat Mexican, and maybe my number one chain red for Mexican. Everything is good here, so pick your favorite delivery system—I always go for tacos or a burrito. There’s a salsa bar in every store, so you can add the flavors and spice you like. Plates come with beans and chips which go together really well. Check the map—there’s usually a Rubio’s near you anywhere in Southern California.

First time to eat here after hearing so much about it. Affording and tasty food. I had the fish taco (of course) and a chicken burrito. I was super full afterwards for only $12! 😂

The food and salsas here are tasty and unique. If you've never tried it, give it a shot and you probably will have a good meal.

Close to the office. Many of us enjoy this location. The service is great. The food too. There seems to be fewer and fewer locations to attend. Just nice to go somewhere that's not burger and fries.

Not reliable for delivery! Ordered takeout through the app for a large group and were promised delivery of the order which was juggled for two hours, then dropped and never delivered. Ruined the event!

Ordered take-away, close to closing time. Rubio's did great. They made sure they had all the fresh ingredients to cook our order. The salsa bar was still fully stocked. Had us on our way in no time, with good food. Recommend the new $9.99-ish menu... The food was even Better than the descriptions.

For anyone arriving from the airport and hungry for a SD staple, this is the must first stop, and it’s right up the road. The gentleman at the counter was attentive and the kitchen staff efficient. My favorite tacos are the shrimp ones: not to be missed. Enough seating for a quiet stay. These guys know their stuff. Believe the reviews.

They always have lemonade stocked and the ingredients are really fresh and good quality. The chef always makes sure the burritos are full and have fresh tortillas. Staff is welcoming and they are on top of making sure orders go out quick. We've never had a problem getting exactly what we ordered, even with modifications to the order. My sister and I are vegan and usually get the Burrito especial with no sauce. They have options for vegetables or Impossible protein for those, but it tastes great with neither on.

Delicious menu of seafood and Mexican delights. The mango/avocado bowl tingles my taste buds and makes my heart pitter-patter. I've never had a bad meal at Rubio's. The fish tacos are so plump and full of goodness that I would have them flown to the East coast if I could. I make it to San Diego 4 times a year and dine at Rubios several times each trip. Parking is plentiful with easy access to I-5, PCH, Lindbergh Field, Point Loma, and Old Town.

The lady who I just picked up from (upper middle age, dyed blonde/orange hair) just snapped at me for picking up the wrong bag when she called my name. Very rude, didn't apologize. I'm telling people not to come here.

Great service. Kristina, at the order window was exceptional. Very friendly, courteous and made some great suggestions for my order. A very busy place and the food is great.

I love the new Crispy Chicken Taco, the Mexican Street Corn Shrimp Taco, and the Salsa Verde Shrimp Taco. Everything was so fresh and delicious. I like switching the tortillas to flour for the taste and texture. The parking lot is pretty tight, so I wouldn't try to go in an RV. The staff was great. Thanks guys!

My favorite place for fish tacos. I was sad to have to leave San Diego, I will miss the fish tacos for sure. My wife likes the California chicken bowl. The food I good, doesn't seem like a fast food restaurant. 2 thumbs up!

I ordered Nachos, and they were literally stuck to the cardboard/plastic. Once I got them off I realized all the chips were stuck together in clumps and stale. Absolutely disgusting Nachos.

Delicious food, fast and friendly service. It has been a while since I've stepped into a Rubio's but I've never been disappointed with their staff or menu.

Rubio's is always great, but the fish tacos I had today were really fantastic. No fishy flavor and very fresh. Thumbs up to the cooks!

August update! Great service from Sean, Kristina and Zander! They are unflappable: friendly, kind, knowledgeable and welcoming. Can't wait to come back again. I'm here at least once a week! (previous review) Always the highest level of service, quality and consistency at this location. I've been coming to Rubio's of since they first opened at their original location, and it will always be one of my homegrown favorites! I like the new direction they are going with their menu, and you can always count on superior customer care and a spotless restaurant. You get a warm greeting as soon as you walk in, and the manager currently (3/17, evening) is very friendly and efficient. It's also a well-kept secret that they have some of the most flavorful and unique house-made salsas you can get anywhere! I am mildly obsessed with the quality of their salsa varieties. Although they are famous for their fish tacos, I always find their chicken and steak to be tender and perfectly flavored. Thank you to your hard working crew. San Diego is proud and grateful to have you! 🤘

We came out to San Diego for 4 days, and ended up eating here twice just in that time! The food was amazing, salsa bar was great and the staff were really awesome!

This is one of my favorite quick Mexican food restaurants. I live in Japan now and when my husband and I were looking at Rubio’s Instagram, he said, “Let’s go to San Diego.” That’s how much we like their fish tacos. We were surprised there are many more items on the menu compared to our last visit from two years ago but I always end up ordering original fish tacos. That’s my favorite. Rubio’s is usually our first meal when we arrives at San Diego and the last meal before we leave San Diego!

I had a good experience here. I was helped by Ash, they were very friendly and easily answered my questions about the menu. My bf and I ordered the CA Bowl, super yummy I love their chipotle sauce. Thank you kitchen staff. Atmosphere was clean and well maintained. The food runner, Bryan was awesome too!

Decent fast food chain serving Baja cuisine. Food was decent and the service quite friendly.

The five star reviews aren't exaggerating. I had a fish taco and a shrimp burrito and both were phenomenal. It only got 4 stars because my husband didn't agree and 5 stars should be a crowd pleaser.

My hubby & I love their menu items, such as the mahi mahi quinoa bowl, their fish tacos are amazing! 😋 im hoping for more friendly employees next time.

Yummy great food as always, friendly staff good service, thanks Khristina! Only bummer is the tables were insanely gross. Cleared/wiped off fine, but just so so much old residue on them it was a good drill in manners/keeping my elbows off the table lol because otherwise they stuck and it was really gross. Just soak the tables in vinegar and it'll be 5 stars imo.

The fish tacos were really good. The street tacos were edible but I wouldn’t get them again. The service is great for a chain restaurant.

Rubio’s will usually be great no matter where you go, but this location specifically is very clean, friendly, and attentive! It takes a lot to get me to notice great service from a chain but they definitely did it.
