Overall good hotel. Front desk is open 24 hours which is nice. Our original room was on the first floor and it was incredibly loud and we barely slept due to traffic noise. We informed the front desk and they were understanding and quickly moved us to a much quieter room on the fourth floor. That was really nice of them! Unfortunately in our new room the ac/heat didn’t work but we were able to sleep much better. Pool and sauna were amazing. Overall you pay for what you get - a bit outdated but great service and perfect location

Nice place to stay near the Milan Central Train Station, which is about a 10 minute walk or €10 taxi ride. There are plenty of shops and places to eat nearby. We liked the hotel lobby, bar, and restaurant. The room was clean and nice, and the bathroom was spacious. The spa/sauna was a plus for sure! Would definitely recommend!

Although the staff is friendly and well behaved(that's the only reason for the second star), i have to report some facts. Firstly, there is a lot of noise and tremor because of the metro and the cars. Also you can hear almost everything from the others rooms like the walking above my rooftop. I can't even describe the feeling waking up due to that constant noises. Secondly, the wooden toilet's door was a bit broken and the wall scratched.. Last, the reason i am doing this report, is the fact that after my room was cleaned, they left my door OPEN. When i came back i found out,but thank God nothing was missing. Sure you don't expect these things from a hotel like this. Really disappointed after all! UPDATE AFTER YOUR RESPONSE: Let me be clear. You are sorry for not exceeding my expectations? You were not even close to that. Like i had some particular expectations... You could not provide the very least, which is the safety of my room. I only got a telephone apology for that!!!!!! Nobody came to my room to check on me after my door was unlocked. Nobody said anything or did anything about that. But the paycheck was done by time.. You clearly care only about money and not the satisfaction of your costumers. I am reading some past comments about you, where some other people have complained about the excessive noise..In this case, also you did nothing. But you'll use my comments to get improved? You didn't do it on the past, what make you think you will do it now?! I definitely WILL NOT STAY in your hotel again, because you do not have a superior experience to provide. Everyone, make yourself a favour, and just book somewhere else, where you'll be safe, where they will lock your door and check on you, and where you can have a peaceful sleep.

Good location close to metro, clean room, very comfortable bed and a good shower. All the staff were friendly, and the choices for breakfast were plentiful. Would definitely stay here again.

Good hotel. Perfect location.Rooms are warm and cozy. We slept well over the nights. Very friendly team. Tasty breakfast. They have spa and swimming pool which we didn’t use, but we do on our next stay.

Make sure to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a stay. This web site will compare countless booking websites and usually will have prices much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This hotel is one of the best in this area. I've been staying here for years. If you choose this place you will love it I'm sure! Good location close to metro, clean room, very comfortable bed and a good shower. All the staff were friendly, and the choices for breakfast were plentiful.

Great location and friendly staff. Very nice hotel on entry. Gym, pool, bar, breakfast, 24 hour reception, seated areas. Next to Lima underground. Lifts are small and rooms are functional but a bit dated. Air conditioning doesn't do much. Bathroom is functional but shower is very cramped and long and narrow. Some toiletries provided. Room walls are thin, can hear people talking in next room, lots of door banging etc. Not much non Italian options on TV but who is here to watch telly. Rooms had trouser press, hair dryer, ac, windows with storm shutters, bidet built into toilet which is hit or miss. No safe in room. Staff are very nice. Have a small gym, pool, steam room, sauna and well being area. A nice bonus which is free for all hotel guest and you can book it (for a fee) to use late at night which is nice as not many hotels allow this. Breakfast is compact but has the essentials. Nice place to stay for location. Literally next to the underground Lima station. Plenty of shops around and a late night convenience store just up the same street so you can get water and snacks.

The staff are lovely a friendly, tried to order a tea off a morning and the poor guy couldn’t understand what tea was but he made me cry with laughter as he running up Down trying to get the right stuff to make a tea, coming up with hot water then made another two trips to get tea bags and milk. I also would not believe the comments that are on google saying how the building shakes from the underground and how loud it is, they have over exaggerated use you may feel little shudder but it really not that bad, only if you think about it you can hear it, You can hear it in the sauna more however that it because the spa located down stairs but it strange to think the underground is just below you, the staff was very helpful through out our whole stay Only little issue we had was I did ask for our room to be cleaned I was little disappointed that it didn’t get done when We returned however not a big deal they did ask if we need anything that evening.

    - I could not change water temperature of the shower to warm, I had to use the another shower head an it was far from the shower place. - I could not fix the shower head in its place, because the holder was broken. - Water stock in the bathtub and also in the bathroom sink. - There were many noise from the outside from tram and autos. - I felt the smell of cigarettes smoke when I arrived, although the room was non-smoking room.

We stayed for 6 nights at this hotel, mostly everything had been perfect. The main pros and cons are the following: Pros: - Hotel staff are very professional, friendly and competant. - The hotel and the room were very clean. - The swimming pool was great, water temperature was warm enough. - The hotel's location is perfect, less than one minute walk from the metro station. Most of Milan main attractions can be reached by metro or tram in a very short time. -The bed was comfortable, we also had the option to change our pillows from the pillows menu. - A shared microwave is available in the lobby, which is very convenient. - A water dispenser and vending machines with snacks and drinks are also available. - Check in and check out processes were fast. - Everything else (except the points listed in the cons) was good. Cons: - The WIFI in our room was quite slow sometimes. - The safety locker was too small, it can't fit a 13" laptop. - There is no soundproofing and some things in the room rattle when people are moving upstairs, and there is rumble when metro passes.

This hotel is way better than we thought, been there for 4 nights in very nice clean room, hotel gives you free wifi and you have free beakfast from 7.00 to 10.30, it considers many kinds of food like croissant, eggs, bread, ham and cheese, tea and coffee and much more, you can get into your room by special card you get and the room is cleaned daily, in room you got nice tv which you can connect to your mobile phone and watch netflix, from the 6th floor of the hotel is nice view and the hotel is placed near the centre( about 15mins walk the duomo di milano ), prices are very good for this kind of hotel, i definitely recommend it :)

Thiefs paradise!!! On the first of our 3 nights there, whilst we were having a drink in the bar, the moment I got up to pay for the drinks, our bag was stolen!!! We went straight to the reception to see if they could use the cameras to see who took it and there response was "We can't do that without a policeman"! We called the police and they won't come out for something like that!!!! Even the next day coming back with a police report, they refused to rewind the cameras! The entire place is covered with pointless CCTV that they refuse to use!!! They didn't even seem shocked, probably happens all the time in there! They took our details and said the "Insurance Company" will be in touch... That was 3 weeks ago, and not one email or phone call... Absolutely terrible!!!! Can say goodbye to that 1,000 euros worth of stuff they stole :(

We booked this hotel last minute for our Milan trip and trust me…it was the best decision ever. Everything about this hotel was awesome. Food - 10/10 Location - 10/10 Just on the exit of metro station. So easy for tourists commuting by local transport Rooms - 10/10 Ambience - 10/10 Staff - 10/10 We were also given an upgrade on our previous booking. Shopping, restaurents, pharmacies were all accessible from the hotel.

I had high expectations but a lot of disappointment here. Checked in after a long day of travel and to my surprise — no restaurant was working for lunch and no room service. The “superior” room is quite small and very thin walls. You’ll hear people walking in the hallway, knocking on doors and talking next door. The rooms themselves are ok but missing amenities like slippers and robes. One angering thing was in a room for two they left only one small complimentary water (and don’t expect a second one on day two - ain’t gonna happen). If you want more you have to go to the bar. Finally a big one for me was the breakfast was bad. Watery sugar “orange juice”, terrible coffee. Location is just so-so. It’s in “central station area” but actually quite a long walk to the central station (700 meters). It’s on top of Lima metro which is convenient but it’s a few stops away from the historical center. Overall I can’t say this hotel provides value for the money. I would stay elsewhere.

Not good if you value sleep and are traveling in the Fall. They turn off the AC for the whole building (as of Oct 21st), but the rooms are located on a busy street. Choice is road noise all night or 73+ degree F rooms. Rooms also look directly into street lights, so if you sleep with window open you must also be ok with light coming into the room. The style and vibe of the building is great and a fit for the city. Breakfast was incredible. Spa is good. Would not stay again because of the sleeping situation. I can understand if property was heavily discounted after AC is shut down for the season, but rooms are normal price (not cheap).

We had a great experience from check-in to the early morning airport ride they arranged for our departure. Location was great - right on metro, nice restaurants on the block, and close to central train station. Room was good size for two adults and one child. Breakfast in the restaurant upstairs was nice. Would definitely return.

Small room, clean and functional. Service was excellent and friendly though I didn’t get much opportunity to do very much. Acoustics between rooms let it down a little but I’d go back.

WARNING: NOT 4 STAR! this hotel was advertised as a 4 star hotel, but when arriving we became hesitant. Asked the reception if it is indeed a 4 star hotel, they lifted their shoulderns and smiled. Went to the room, it smelled horrible. Sewer smell from ventilation. Changed room next day, mold and still sewer smell, even though it was another part of the building. The smell was not something trivial, it was a lot. And it smelled in the corridors as well. They tried to obscure the smells every morning with some sort of lemon sanitizers. Also, a lot of 4 star hotel equipment did not exist in the rooms. Staff was rude and unpolite. Breakfast did not have much to offer, and what it did have tasted bad. Overall Milano was Great, but this is one of the worst hotels i have been at, and we have been around a lot. Hopefully this review will help people avoiding this joke of a 4 star hotel.

Not sure i liked this hotel. Room was okay sized, bed was nice enough. The bathroom was very small. Could barely get in and out of the shower. There was a strange smell in the room, kinda smelled like poop from another room. The spa area was nice enough. But i dislike that people bring in kids that use the spa as a playground. There was a distinct lack of serenetiy in the spa area. Showers in the spa didn't work properly. Breakfast was so and so aswell. Very picked out towards the end of the sessions. All in all not going back to UNA Hotels Galles Milano

Location is great. Next to underground station which goes direct to duomo and central station but the walls of this place are so thin that every time they opened the door in the room next to us we thought someone opened our door. And we could hear everything. Our window was facing the busy street and the noise was too much. Ambulances did not let me sleep.

It was the second time that me and my family stayed at the Galles hotel and we enjoyed it again! Super location with Lima metro station just a few meters away and Duomo at around 20mns walk. Quiet and proper bedroom with big bathroom. Great choice at breakfast. We will definitely come back!!

Can't adjust thermostat in bedroom. They are controlled by front desk. It was a 100+ degrees in our room with no window to open. Paid $600 dollars for two nights and was miserable. Ant problem in bathroom. Good location and nice otherwise.

Lovely hotel, location is perfect for anyone looking to stay close to Duomo! I didn’t even need to take the metro as it’s just a 30 minute straight walk! But for those who wish to use the metro the Lima stop is outside the door! The hotel itself is very clean and the staff who work there are very helpful! Breakfast is a buffet but it costs €14 per night if not included on booking. The gym is modern and the swimming pool and sauna are fantastic! The view of the city from the Terrazza roof top is breathtaking and really is worthy of staying here for the view of the city sky scrapers and the alps! The room is very comfortable and I appreciated how clean and tidy it always was! It was a fantastic hotel to stay in and I cannot highly recommend for anyone looking to stay in Milano! Grazie 😀

Here is our first stop of the Italy trip, all are amazing! Steps to subway M1, quite zone, very clean facility and excellent service desk people, I mean all of them, they are responsive, like put down their work to answer my questions and to lead me right away to the facilities I want to find. A wonderful start of Milan as the first stop. Thank you a lot UNAHOTELS Galles Milano!

Wonderful helpful staff. Restaurant great for breakfast and dinner. Rooms were lacking. A/C was non functional as was mini bar fridge (only source for bottled water I could find). Room was small and doors were missing from wardrobe. Whole property seemed tired and in need of updating. Frustrating to attempt to follow signs for self service laundry that were posted in lobby and first floor only to find they had removed the laundry. Don’t plan on staying at this property in the future. Price/condition and distance from attractions unfavorable IMO.

The rooms were very 1980s in appearance, but clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff weren't very cheerful but they were helpful. No towels are provides at the pool area, I had to obtain one from reception, I was advised that they only provide dressing gowns and slipper usually - but there were none of those there either. Breakfast was fine and we were allowed a later check out which was useful. There was a bit of noise due to renovation and the rooms must have thin walls as we heard a lot of noise from people passing in corridors. The TV only worked intermittently, I couldn't connect our phones or phablets to it to stream/mirror screen. The pool is rather small and was spoilt by Americans letting their children shout, jump in and splash about when others trying to swim/relax.

This is our second time in the UNA hotels. Let’s go step by step. 1. Location - great. One turn from the corner and you are in the epicenter of the city lifeo. And it’s literally 50 steps from the hotel door to the tube. 2. Reception - politely 3. Room location - emmmmm. After lifting up in the elevator and passing a long corridor we had to go downstairs (couple of stairs), then go upstairs (couple of stairs), then go upstairs and voilà! We are in the our room! (No jokes) Forget to say that we had a pretty big luggage. 4. Room a.Bathroom - this was a first hotel in Italy with 4 stars in the description without bidet in the toilet. Can’t say that my a** so dirty that I can’t live without bidet, but this is a point of the concept. We didn’t find a slippers and bathrobes. The funniest thing was a single tiny bottle of intimate cleanser and one shower cap for two persons in the room. By the way, if you ate a LOT of pizza during your vacation you would have a high chances not to fit in the shower (check the photo) b. Bedroom - it is quite, if you do not have neighbors around. We had a kettle and safe in the wall (what was actually cool) :) Summary: this IS NOT 4 start hotel definitely. The rates on the Booking are too high for no reasons and the price is absolutely not worth of quality.

Good location near metro stations. room (suite) was very clean with nice shower but the layout of the room was not efficient, the double bed part was small and the leaving room was very big. The real disappointment was breakfast. Don't take it. very poor selection, old bread and low quality ingredients.

  • 3/5 Roger H. 11 months ago on Google
Location was great. Metro outside the hotel. A nice area to stay. Check in staff were friendly and efficient. Room was ok, bathroom size good. Air conditioning could be improved. Buffet breakfast was good but breakfast staff didn't seem to be not wanting to be there. There was no checking that we were a paid hotel customer and no greetings by staff. Overall a satisfactory experience.

I understand that in certain places of the world air conditioners aren’t a common practice… but if you advertise that you have ac then patrons shouldn’t have to wonder if it will ever be a comfortable temperature in their rooms. Further, I had medication that needed refrigeration and I indicated to the reception area that the fridge in the room was warm and doesn’t work and nothing was done about it, I’ve been unable to properly store my medication …. Thinking of looking for ice to store my medicine in. Quite disappointed, all I asked for was a working mini fridge in the room I paid for.

We are group of travellers who booked 10 rooms for a period of 7-10 nights. All of us agreed to the following review: Every single centimetre of the building has been invested. The result many different layouts, sizes and styles of rooms. Also rooms are distributed in snake and ladder style, finding your way first time will give you a similar experience to escape room play (be patient and enjoy the experience). Your luck (guest luck) and reception staff mode will play a great roll in getting the room you expect. Apart from reception staff, other hotel staff (restaurant, housekeeping, and gym) are generally helpful and friendly. However, we had a terrible experience with a particular receptionist claiming he is the general manager (but on his business card doesn’t mention). We have interacted with him few times during the course of our stay. We found him intentionally and confidently: Rude Arrogant Unfriendly Un-respectful Unprofessional Intimidating Strident spoken He is basically doesn’t fit the hospitality business (like hotels) and will ruin the customer experience.

Really nice hotel, and the location is perfect. It's outside the hectic center, but within 10 meters of a metro stop that can take you to the Duomo in about 8 minutes. The room was great. The bed was comfortable, and king size, which is hard to find in Italy. There was a kettle and mugs, tea and coffee. The shower pressure was strong. Shelves and hooks made it easy to stay organized. There is a pillow menu so you can choose whatever one you prefer. I would stay here again if I came back to Milan. Breakfast was typical Italian continental, adequate. Pool and spa I don't know as I didn't use them, but they looked nice.

The hotel is in a great location just above Lima underground station, hotel is nice and clean and the rooms clean as well. The customer service is above and beyond in this hotel, the receptionists are very helpful as they offered me to change the room 3 times and they made sure I’m happy with my room. I recommend this hotel but try to stay away from the lower floors and the high street if you are a light sleeper because it can be slightly noisy. I would definitely visit again. Thank you 🙏🏾 best western plus

Location is good, right next to tube. Hotel is old and rooms need some maintenance. Breakfast is excellent. Price is great. Manager is too busy to respond to a request for a meeting. Has a boutique feel but it isn’t and has a big chain hotel feel but it isn’t that either. Napoleon hotel right next door is where I stayed before and is an excellent boutique hotel, much cleaner rooms and diligent staff.

Not bed, not comfortable. 1.good: +in front of the hotel is a station Lima that drives you directly to do Duomo piazza. + its situated in a long long shopping street +only hotel with a pool but resonable price, close to the center +nice rooftop terace to enjoy some coffe or tea. +big and nice toilet +clean 2. Bed: -Small small rooms in an old stlyle -uncomftable -the staff is not interest for you, except the chiefs of reception or restaurant. For example we have orderd a kakao in the evening in restaurant for our kid and after a "grrr face" and unpolite waiter we got so hot and bed teasted cacaoo that we couldnt believe. It was hot 30min after ;)) then came the cheaf and made a nice cacaoo for us. Thank you! -next time, I would not stay in this hotel. Better longer center distance but better hotel for the same price. -we payed for a superior room and they gave us a small small room -lot of wrong informations from staff. Especially from restaurant.

Good Hotel, nice staff, nice view from the breakfast restaurant. The view from the roof top also a nice thing, the pool is a bit small but its a nice to have. One of the best things was on the bar with the Bartender, his name was Christian 🥳

Well appointed hotel, all the things you expect from BW. Nice staff. Central location but very very loud. Narrow hallways and little to no soundproofing plus a busy street and a metro that shook the whole building every 3 minutes made for some tough sleep. I should have checked it was on top of a metro line.

We stayed here over a long weekend, while visiting Milan from the USA. We had a family suite for the four of us. While the hotel is not inexpensive, in this area, I suspect it is the cheapest per square foot! Also, the front desk here is the best. Giuliano was extremely helpful - he went above and beyond with his assistance. For European standards, the suite was immense. Even in the USA, a suite this size would be very expensive. The king bed was an actual king bed, and it was extremely comfortable. There was plenty of room to sit and a table to eat at, as well as a small desk. On the downside, the armoire was not actually deep enough to hold the cloth hangers without them being angled. Also, the shower was very small (even though the bathroom was quite large) and the showerhead retention mechanism was old and the showerhead would flop around a lot. (I kept forgetting to mention this to the front desk - I suspect it would have been repaired if I had.) The room was very quiet, even with the window open, and the climate control appeared to offer heat and cooling, which seems to be unusual in this area. We did not use the spa, pool or gym, but they looked very nice. Overall we were very pleased with the hotel. The location is super convenient to two metro stations and a bus station. There are also lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. All of the places we went were within 40 minutes by public transportation, most were closer.

Rooms were comfortable and mostly quiet. Conversations outside our door and even in adjoining room were audible, but didn't cause much concern. Street noise wasn't audible at all. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was nice. Location is good for public transportation. The Lima metro station is just outside and many sites are on the red line, upon which the station is situated. Hotel bar is good, though overpriced, even for a hotel bar. The bartender, Christian, was very personable and mixed great drinks- especially the Gin Mare with tonic garnished with basil and tomato - something we'll be making at home now. Front desk personnel were very helpful and gave us lots of good information.

The metro station trains are quite loud. However, the barman, Christopher was excellent! He made my partner a super role fashioned and recommended me an appropriate spritz with a twist! It was delicious! He was then happy to chat to us and recommend places to see in the area and make bespoke cocktails for the evening. What a man!

We visited Milan as tourists after receiving all the appropriate approvals to enter Italy. We entered Italy only after presenting all the reqested and needed documents and pre-checks. This place was the ONLY place in Milan that had issues with us. We arrived late and had to search for another place to sleep... Thank you for that... Covid is not an excuse to be rude to your paying customers. This is my rating of the hotel for now. Good luck with your other clients. Oh, and threatening the tourists won't help you... You are a place who give service and charge money for that.

Air-conditionen is really old facilities not really cooling the room temperature in hot summer time. And the staff are very friendly, specially Mrs. Viviana is a really friendly staff to help us charging our car and be patienced for explaining where is the garage parking. All staff in reception are nice friendly and helpful. Location is very center, metro station just right in corner, easy reach to Duomo. Just one thing is:the room facilities may need renovation and improve in the further.

We had a great stay here. The room was small but perfectly arranged and everything we needed. We were worried that we would be disturbed by lift and restaurant noise but the room was nice and quiet. Breakfast is excellent, staff are very friendly and they even helped us MASSIVELY when we left our passports in the safe and sent them in a taxi to the airport. Thank you very much.

Could be better for a 4 star. The +: huge breakfast, rooms super clean, good beds and pillows, friendly staff. The - : noisy (walls too thin could hear neighbours+ rooms on 2nd floor can hear and feel the subway, which goes just under), restaurant on the Terrace has a nice view, but service too chaotic, and wrong billing at the end. Swimming pool small and too much chlorine in it (eye irritations).

Lovely hotel and friendly staff. 20 min walk from Milan Central Train Station or Duomo. Spa small and gets busy but is a bonus after a long day of sight seeing. Breakfast is typical buffet style (no fresh orange juice only gripe - but you can pay an extra €5 for this). We didn't eat any other meals here. We were not disturbed by the underground at all and room spacious with decent air-con. Best ice cream in the area...Vechni, best cappuccino Motto in the main square in Milan. Public toilets cost €1.

👍👍 Nice place if you fancy buying expensive but very good quality of food. I had spaghetti pasta with mozzarella buffalo cheese. It was delicious but not the cheapest. The quality of food was good though. You could buy other food from there such as vegetables, fruits, cheese, wine, alcohol, meat, pasta...
