I booked through American Express Fine Hotels and Resorts and this particular hotel did not meet that criteria. When you pay 5 Star Hotel/Four Season rates for a room you expect 5 star service. We waited 3 hours for our room to become available. We booked a queen bed room and were told we would be upgraded to a king. Once we were finally checked in, the room was the queen bed. I understand that is what we initially booked, but we were told different. If that was not going to be the case, then letting us know before we walked in the room would have been appreciated. Instead, they assumed or hoped we would not notice. As our luggage was brought to the room, I asked the bellhop if he had change for 100 so I could tip him. He said he had change. When I handed him the bill, he took off running! He finally returned with change but it left me sweating for 5 minutes. But what's worse, is he only brought me 20's! No fives or tens! Like he was trying to force me to give him a 20 as a tip. Once all of our check in fiasco was over we started to settle into the room... and this was the straw that broke the camels back. The rooms at the Four Seasons Milano are terrible and look nothing like the remolded hotel lobby below. The room was identical to a Courtyard Marriott! If I wanted to stay in a cheap hotel, I would have. There was no way I was staying in a Courtyard Marriott room for Four Season prices. So, I called Amex and had them cancel my reservation. I filed a complaint with Amex as well so others were not duped into thinking this property was a Fine Hotel & Resort. Once Amex confirmed me at the Armani (which I HIGHLY RECOMEND) they processed my refund. It was at this point that the hotel room phone began ringing off the hook. It was the Four Seasons offering me the upgraded room the originally offered. Their efforts however, were too late. If they valued me as a customer and truly held customer service as a core value, then that is what they should have done from the beginning. Long story short, the rooms are cheap and not worth the price and the service is meh at best. Certainly not a 5 Star Experience.

We have been to many Four Seasons locations, but this one stands out! We did not stay there since we have another favorite hotel in Milan. We usually stop by this majestic location for afternoon drinks every time in town. Historic building in the heart of the fashion district. A must visit while in Milan.

Here comes an other sad story. As in a previous post we have the same dilemma. Great name arrogant and bad service. We live here from the brand recognition. I must admit that the reception staff are efficient and very polite. However when it comes to the service at the lounge and the food serving what a horror. Staff, at least what was serving our group was more busy to speak to each other, when finally taking the order took quite a while for getting served. The food presentation especially the tiramisu was horrible and never saw even in a take a way place. The other issue is many of the clients smoke vapos and the steam is a disturbance to your food. And finally asking for the bill it took 2 reminders and then they just wanted to charge without an invoice to see first. Last personal comment I don’t mind tattoos however I a brand such as the Four Season’s it should be discreet and not like in a Gaultier advertisement. But this is maybe my old fashioned view.

You get what you expect😍 Service: The staff and the services are excellent. They pay great attention to details and sweeten the guests' stay with many small gestures. They are very attentive. Rooms: High standard, as in other Four Seasons or comparable hotels. Bathrooms are great. Spa: A wide range of treatments. The pool is beautiful in an old style. The private spa room also offers the possibility to enjoy a whirlpool and a steam bath alone. Restaurant: the quality of the food and the service is above average. The prices are above average, especially the wines. The location, especially the garden, offers an inspiring atmosphere. Location: The hotel is located in the heart of Milan. There are numerous fancy stores and restaurants nearby. The courtyard completely shields the guests and lets you breathe easy. The air-conditioned rooms make it possible to stay even in summer. I reccomend a vistit!

Place to stay if you come to Milan to shop. All designer brand boutiques surrounding the hotel and walkable. Not that far from a Metro train station.

Interior Design of the lobby bar area is stunning. Service is impeccable. Exactly what I always expect from four seasons . Two thumbs up !

This hotel is a perfect example of a 5☆-hotel. The location is great, the lobby and the restaurant look so luxury and have you been in the garden? You sit there between beautiful plants, flowers, the vibe is unbeatable. The staff is very friendly and love to have a good talk! The appetizers they served us tasted so high class, I felt like I am in heaven. You will miss something if you don't visit this place - believe me. I already visited it 3 times, it became a ritual for me. The last time, in september, i have to say, I did not feel that warm welcomed like the other two times. My friend and me understand italian and we heard, that the hostess wasn't very nice towards us.

Great location, but with poor service and of course overpriced. Arrogant stuff generally, with a cannot do attitude.

I'm a Four Seasons fan and try to stay at their locations whenever traveling if possible. This hotel was beautiful and had a great location close to all the shopping. Wasn't exactly downtown Milan with touristy stuff but it wasn't far either. Lobby bar is really nicely decorated and the service was great.

I never in my life thought I would say this: the Four Seasons in Milan gave me and my friends food poisoning. It is with great surprise and disappointment that I write about an unexpected experience at the Four Seasons in Milan on December 29, 2023. My friends and I, adhering to our usual practice of selecting premium dining options while traveling abroad to ensure quality and avoid health issues, chose to dine at this renowned establishment. Contrary to our expectations, we were afflicted with a severe case of food poisoning after our lunch, specifically after consuming the lobster and avocado sandwich (Focaccia Pugliese). This unfortunate incident not only resulted in significant physical distress, including acute stomach cramps, dehydration, projectile vomiting, but also led to a considerable loss of money because we were unable to attend prearranged activities and dining experiences over the following two days. Our decision to pay for higher-priced culinary experiences, rather than more modest street food options, was based on the belief that this would guarantee both the quality and safety of our food. This is why we pay a premium. In light of this experience, and the plethora of exquisite dining alternatives available in Milan, we have resolved to not patronize the Four Seasons in Milan in the future. It is a decision made with a heavy heart, considering the impact it had on our health and travel plans.
