Everything was great but the avocado toast… as a Canadian girl who comes from a city that is known for our Avocado toast, the food here was not great :( which I hate to say, because the restaurant itself is beautiful!! I also love that this was literally the only place in Italy, i wasn’t charged for water! But my toast was thin and so over toasted, it was more stale than a crouton…the avocado spread wasn’t seasoned, definitely needed salt, pepper and maybe some garlic, my egg was supposed to be medium poached and was super under and the white part of the egg had that “snotty” consistency, the bacon was good though. I also didn’t really care for the beet hummus, was also under seasoned and maybe just not for me. I think the addition of a balsamic glaze/drizzle over top would have been great and would’ve loved to have seen some options for hot sauce. I really think this place has amazing potential, but I think the menu needs to be tweaked. Overall will definitely visit and try again when I’m back in Milan!
