Didn’t had time to enjoy the beach but it’s totally beautiful I had a nice meal at one of the restaurants that were near by and the food was really good

Stunning beach that is only accessible for the resorts in the Playa Dorada gated complex. Technically, locals can access it if they enter on the west side of the public beach and walk a couple of kilometers, but that's not an issue for me. Pristince sandy beaches with beautiful warm blue water with waves to jump in. There are kiosks to rent jetskis, parasailing, snorkel tours, etc.

Beach chairs and shade are $5 each. We stayed 2 hrs. Had no issues. We even rented boogie boards for $5. Everything was very nice. The waves were perfect.

Nice beach with a bar and cool restaurants

I will never ever ever go back there again. The food was horrible, there was a bird flying over the food flapping its wings and the food wasn’t replaced. There was stray cat on pizza counter and no one sanitized after the cat was chased away. The worst is that there no WiFi in the rooms if you want to share pictures or do any work on the computer like most of us do you can forget about that. Pick a different resort if you don’t want to be disappointed

Absolutely beautiful the people are really lovely. The views are amazing and the beach was beautiful.

Great beach to spend time with a family

Playa Dorada is the absolute best beach on DR northern coast. It is lined with exclusive resorts and warm sea. Sand is as the name says golden color, super soft. Seaweed is occasional.

Even though its a beautiful beach, the one guy that rents chairs and cabanas was annoying af. We were there for a short time and he constantly asked if we wanted to rent chairs, or buy food. We told him kindly MANY times that we were not interested and he even followed us around the beach. Its a public beach and I shouldn't have to be harassed by anyone to rent a chair.

Very nice beach and not too crowded. Parking was a bit difficult to find, we ended up parking by a restaurant if you turn left after entering the area. We didn't spend any money but they had nice chairs and umbrellas for rent. Beach was quite clear and the waves were pretty small.

Nice beach, water was very pretty plenty of waves, excursion, rented beach chairs were dirty and run down.

We Stayed at VH Gran Ventana in Puerto Plata (Playa Dorada). Beautiful and scenic beach with a nice backdrop of hills. pretty clean with some sea weed depending on the time of year. Lots of fish, good for snorkeling. Grainy sand, the water is not too shallow for long, it gets deep quickly in some areas but that's normal.

This is probably one of the super clean and relaxing beached in Domenican republic. Where over the horizon on the left you can see the beautiful landscapes and junggles right by the beach. There are several hotels in this location and overall this place is a great place to have a nice hike right by the ocean. the whole strip can be walked fully in a bout 40 mins going very slow
