I was with a tour group and one of the staff gave us a guided tour and talk. The staff were all pleasant. Since this museum was about DR culture and history, it did not interest me much.

300 pesos gets you a guided tour of the meticulously reconstructed house that Luperón lived in during his final days. There is a nice coffee shop attached. Staff is very nice, welcoming, and helpful.

My wife and I really enjoyed our visit. Our tour guide Julio was very knowledgeable and did a great job! I would recommend this museum to guests visiting Puerto Plata.

Lots of information and very interesting life story. It was worth the time to learn more about the Dominican Republics path to freedom.
