The price is absurd for the size of the museum. Some attractions are indeed interesting but if you look at it as a whole it’s definitely not worthy. Maybe can be more fun for parents with small children.

It's OK. Was very busy on entrance. During a bank holiday everyone was here with kids and it was very very busy. Staff should organise the entry. In a better way. The installations vary in terms of their engagement and interest. Some you can spend a few seconds on, others the kids like to do for 5-10 minutes. Probably best for ages 4 to 10. The visit takes about 40 minutes.

We went there on a Tuesday morning as we knew it would be a little less crowded compared to the weekend but nonetheless we felt that this museum isn’t worth the 12€ entry price. The whole experience is more catered for kids as there were many of them running around and having the time of their lives. In short, we weren’t impressed.

OK experience. Expected bigger for the expense. But it was OK. Staff are good but everything is too overpriced

You probably have to buy your entries online upfront, because I did it and when I arrived there were signs which said they are already sold out for the day (I was at 13:40). The museum itself doesn't have a lot of content, there are two floors with some 'illusions'. If you're an adult you probably saw all of them in before, those typical optical illusions. Probably better for children. Took me maybe half an hour to see everything.

I'm giving illusion museum in Madrid 4 stars only because my kids had a decent 35 minutes touring the museum. Overall I am not sure it was worth the money. Had a few cool illusions many of which I have seen before. Small kids will enjoy, teens will tolerate, adults will have some fun for 20 minutes.

(Translated by Google) Do not buy tickets online !! It is useless! Better at the box office or if there are many people you turn around and go home. You have to wait in line with all the people who have not bought a ticket, which is a lot, in a closed space without air or on the street. They must improve the entrance system, allow access by time slots or give priority to online tickets as in most museums. In times of a global pandemic, the current system of access to the museum is not at all practical. (Original) ¡¡No compréis entradas online!!

It’s a good idea for when the weather outside isn’t great and a wonderful experience. There are many illusions and each of them as their description provided. For illusions involving 2 people, they have provided signs where the photographer must stand(the camera sign) and where the person being photographed must sit(the foot sign). The staff is helpful and even help you in taking pictures with the correct camera angles to make the most of your experience.

Absolutely great visit. Fun for adults and kids. Better to go in a pair, going alone means you can’t appreciate some of the illusions as well but the museum staff were more than happy to take part with me/ take photos for me. 12eur entrance. Recommended!

Some interesting illusion rooms, specially the tunnel which was great and soke puzzle games were fun. But a lot of filler wall art. Price is a bit high for the exhibition quality. All in all i had fun but wouldnt come back.

Quite disappointing and very overpriced (€13 pp) for what is only a half hour experience. All the kids there seemed to enjoy it so would probably be good for families, but if just adults I wouldn't bother and I wouldn't go again personally. Most of the 'muesum' is just print outs of illusion paintings that you can see on google, and some of the mirror tricks you could do at home as well. The tunnel room is fun as it feels as if you are moving, but most of it is filler activities. There are a few rooms that look good for a picture but that's all there is to it, there are too many people and lots of waiting for your turn to ask a stranger to take a picture.

IMHO, it's a great place for adults and children. It's good for a short visit (just for fun) or a long one ( to read all the scientific facts connected with the expositions, play brain games there) depending on your interests. The staff I talked to spoke English fluently. The location is very convenient, 3 minutes from the bus stop.

Good place for kids for sure. Too crowded. I would suggest to go there not on an evening. And buy the tickets online in advance. There is also a little shop for souvenirs and funny stuff.

The visit to the Museum of Illusions was on my list of places I would like to visit and it was one of the best experiences I have had in a museum. My partner and I had such a good time, that we lacked time to do all the activities, we enjoyed like children 🤣🤣🤣 and we had a lot of surprises 😳😳😳🤯🤯🤯. We bought the tickets a day before so, we didn't have to wait, we arrived, entered and enjoyed it😍😍😍. Two of the girls who work at the museum helped us to take pictures, but DEINA😍😍😍WOW SHE IS SUPER LOVELY, FRIENDLY, PATIENT AND TEACHES YOU MANY TRICKS TO TAKE VERY FUN PHOTOS. 🥰🥰🥰 I recommend this museum yes or yes, we will definitely come back because we loved it.

Extraordinary museum to visit with the whole family. Booking in the first hour gave us the opportunity to have it almost exclusively. It should also be noted that with at least three people the experience is decidedly better, as you can photograph the other two playing in the rooms with the illusions. Super fun for kids of all ages!

It is an interactive museum for enjoy during almost one hour, we can learn how our brains play with movement according what we see.

Loved it, we visit with three children, aged 3, 6 and 13 and all of them and the adults had a great time. We enjoyed the different tricks and although it was peak hour, we were able to use them without waiting. It is advisable to book tickets in advance (at least on Xmas), as there were not tickets left to buy on-site.

My 12 yr-old grandson and I discovered this fascinating place. It’s a perfect addition to a day of museums. We both had a great time and have many photos to recall the visit. I highly recommend it to all. The staff is most accommodating.

exceedingly expensive for what it was. not worth the money at all. for starters, when i went, i did on the very first turn of the day. that'd normally mean the least amount of people as there would only be the first turn's group inside with me and that,as time passed, other groups would eventually join us. and yet, even in those few moments, it became a struggle to keep the safety distance mandated by the Covid policies, and about twenty minutes later, when the second group arrived... well, let's just say the only way out was bumpy, especially as it was packed with children who just ran around chaotically. it didn't help in any way how the place had no specified route to follow but rather just the bunch of rooms and corridors with the illusions around, which only encouraged people to try to huddle around an illusion with no order without distancing. secondly, the "illusions" were mostly only enjoyable through a camera's lens and not directly. of course, said illusions might be quite fun for the children, as several rooms had "special" features like being upside down or a tilted floor, but for other people it would probably end up being boring, especially if they're not interested in taking a lot of photos to upload and "brag" online. overall, while an interesting place to take children, it's not as interesting as its webpage makes it to be, and, furthermore, as several of the illusions require contact, and because of the high density of people inside, it is not the safest either in the current pandemic

Does not worth it. Aside from being very basic, the staff was rude. For the same price you can visit another place much better designed and more interesting. It’s called Ikono. And staff of Ikono is much more kind.

  • 2/5 Maria J. 2 years ago on Google
The entrance is 12 euros, and you have to buy them online. The interior is not as I was hoping- although the concept is well thought out, I think the experience itself wasn't great. There were quite a few people and you have to wait to use each space. Some of the illusions could have been a lot better. The best one was the tunnel on the second floor.

  • 5/5 Adam Tamer (. 2 years ago on Google
Very nice, the illusions were fun to see, it’s hard not to bring a camera because there’s too many photo needed moments, would highly recommend!

Always fun for kids. Very polite and welcoming ladies at the reception desk👌

  • 3/5 Kasia D. 2 years ago on Google
Quite nice, however the descriptions next to all of the illusions are relatively short and don't contain much information (comparing to a similar museum in Cracow, where you can also interact with guides who can explain everything). Some of the glasses were dirty with fingerprints. In summary: nice and interesting (especially the rooms with lights, "tunnel" and mirrors), but some things could be better, especially considering the fact that the entry is not very cheap.

  • 4/5 Cherry Mae M. 2 years ago on Google
The place is really nice, but might not be the best place to go during this pandemic. They not only have fun places for pictures but also challenging puzzles to try. They also sell souvenirs.

These things are often hit-and-miss, but Museum of Illusions is very well done and exceeded expectations for me and my 17-year old son. Some of the illusions are genuinely impressive, and the whole experience is long enough to justify the entrance price.

  • 4/5 Ravinder S. 2 years ago on Google
Kudos to the staff. Nice and friendly. Hygiene measures were observed. It was pleasant. It's more for kids, but still there 2-3 things which would be fun for adults. If you're a student you get discounts as well. The location is easy to find.

I recently visited the Museum of Illusions in Madrid, and while the concept is intriguing, I found it to be overpriced for the experience it offers. The entrance fee did not align with the value I received in return. One of the major drawbacks of my visit was the overcrowding. The museum was packed with visitors, making it difficult to truly enjoy and take the pictures I had hoped for. The constant crowds created a chaotic atmosphere, detracting from the immersive experience the museum aims to provide. Additionally, I was disappointed by the limited number of illusions and exhibits available. I expected a wider range of options, but it felt somewhat underwhelming. The lack of variety left me wanting more and feeling like the overall experience fell short of my expectations. Considering the high price and the challenges posed by the crowded environment, I cannot wholeheartedly recommend the Museum of Illusions in Madrid. While the concept is interesting, the execution and value for money could be improved. It is worth considering alternative attractions in the city that may offer a more enjoyable and fulfilling experience.

I was expecting a lot more from this visit, the museum is small and felt run down. I believe it has a high footfall, so some of the interactive exhibits looked very tired. The kids had some fun but weren't overly impressed. The staff are friendly and good at getting people in to visit and buying tickets - we had to book a later timeslot though. Not great value for money sadly...

  • 3/5 Valentina R. 6 months ago on Google
The place is fun, I went there with my nephew i he loved it. I would like to see more, I felt that was not big enough and with not that many interactive elements. The staff was very friendly and they are always there to help you.

Don't miss this if you're with kids. The more, the merrier. And keep your camera handy to catch their smiles. I particularly loved the upside-down room, the room that used perspective to make small things look big and the tumbler that used motion to mess up with your balance. Won't post any photos with our smiles but here are some other things that were quite cool.

  • 5/5 Sarah D. 11 months ago on Google
A great option with kids over 3. Took my 4 year old for an hour and it was perfect. Some of the reviews say it's small, but for a child that age it's plenty big enough. Would return - especially when the weather isn't great outside.

  • 2/5 Nik L. 1 year ago on Google
This museum does not offer nearly enough for the € 14,- entry price. It's a collection of barely curated and, frankly, unfinished displays in which you can take pictures and a few fun but cliché interactive displays and puzzles. The only other thing on offer are a few prints of optical illusions. There is no info with the prints except a brief instruction, and they are printed in a low resolution so some of them don't even work as well as they should. Truth be told, I did have fun, but only for about 20 minutes (after a 25 minute wait), and a lot left to be desired.

  • 4/5 Zaka O. 9 months ago on Google
My recent visit to the Illusion Museum was met with warm smiles and helpful assistance from the staff, which definitely contributed to a positive impression. However, as much as I wanted to be captivated by mind-bending illusions, I found the overall experience to be rather average. The illusions on display lacked the wow factor I had hoped for, leaving me somewhat underwhelmed. While some exhibits were interesting, others felt repetitive or predictable. Nevertheless, if you're seeking a relaxed outing with friendly guides, the Illusion Museum might still be worth a visit.

Museo distinto , fuera de lo común . Pese a comprar la entrada por internet, hay que esperar cola. Van pasando grupos poco a poco.

We went at 14:00 in the afternoon in August, at first we were almost alone but little by little the capacity increased, security measures low, the staff explains it and they are super friendly but children and some parents go through everything. The museum can be seen in less than 40 minutes. It has funny and curious things but it is very small and difficult to control so many children together. How visit is curious (Original) Museo de las ilusiones, creo que después de la visita un poco desilusionado. (Translated by Google) The price is somewhat high for what is offered. The truth is that we have had a great time and there are very fun "attractions". It has just opened and at some points you can already see that people have passed, perhaps a little more care and attention in the small details (the card table, the chair that makes you tiny ...) Some attractions are images hanging on the wall, which have circulated in PowerPoint presentations, which does not detract from their impact and the optical illusion is produced the same, only that I already knew it.
