I lived at this complex for 9 months before I had enough. - Construction noises in the unit above us for months. Noise complaints were ignored. We were never informed that there would be construction or renovations by the leasing office. - Multiple car break-ins in the garage that have not been acknowledged by management. - They only have one security person who supposedly walks around the property at night. I have only actually seen them once. - There have been homeless people found (not by security) to be sleeping in the courtyard. - We have asked for maintenance requests many times and they been ignored for the most part. There is no direct contact for the maintenance department if you need to cancel a request or revoke permission to enter. - They only ever reached out to us to ask if we wanted to pay more money towards a storage unit. - Packages are not processed the day they arrive, so you end up getting delivery notifications from the office the day AFTER they were delivered. - They allow anyone to come in off the street and take packages from the leasing office, so long as you say the unit number. Upon asking them to start checking IDs, they refused stating “Nobody’s package has ever been stolen, so why should we start?” Upon escalating this to management, they replied with “package handling is a free service, stop being a choosing beggar.” - Also, there are important tax forms strewn all over the building lobby where the mail person made 0 effort to deliver the mail. Since there is no lobby security, anyone can tailgate in and steal your mail. - Our kitchen has outdated appliances. The dishwasher barely cleans dishes. - Poor insulation meant that our heating bill for the month of December was almost $200, so add that to your monthly budget. - Carpet floors in space besides kitchen and bathroom. Poor ventilation means this is a perfect environment for mold. - Our floor had outdated washer/dryer units, which caused us to waste more money on washing our clothing because one washer was too small. - I agree with one of the other reviewers about office worker Victoria. She was incredibly rude to me after Iexpressed concerns over the apparent lack of safety in the complex. - Elevators are slow and I have found people trapped inside them multiple times. - Barely any maintenance staff, so when people leave messes it sometimes takes days for them to clean it up. - Poor insulation in the apartments means tons of nasty mold everywhere. Bottom line, avoid this complex and rent from one of the places that genuinely seems to care about the environment they are providing to you.

I am writing this review as I am getting ready to vacate my apartment. I moved in on the last week of December, just in time to watch the New Year fireworks from the apartment. Here are a few things why I gave this rating 1. The apartment is in the heart of the city. 2. My apartment had a view of the Bay Bridge, so I felt like I was on a vacation every night after coming back home. 3. We got a pretty good rental deal. 4. The leasing office people were very kind and helpful. Bottom line: This has been the best apartment I've ever lived in.

The apartments are standard and the garden/pool area is nice to look at, though there are always young families with their children running about in the pool areas on the weekends, and parties happening on Saturdays. If you don't mind the noise when you open your windows to catch some fresh air, you'll like it here. Convenient to CalTrain and within walking distance to AT&T Park.

I lived at South Beach Marina Apartments for a year and I can say it is easily the best apartments I've lived in. But what really made the difference to me was the staff and service at SBMA as the folks in the office are super friendly and will go out of their way to help you. The complex is clean and well maintained with great amenities. The only con I experienced was the noise from traffic, but if you live in an apartment that doesn't face The Embarcadero, then you'll be fine and the noise from the street won't be of any concern.

Parking out front usually good ..apts. there are older built but nice area a d views from some not bad, staff is nice there...these have a more enclosed village like setting inside secured gate..had different entrances..and hallways are not narrow like some others..was visiting a friend. Like most parking and elsewhere in sf you have to pay $200 and up for a spot inside ..pretty competitive to others in prices around there

Great Complex to live at. All Facilities and a Garden as well. Pool, Gym, Party Room & Awesome Office Staff. Regular Cleaners & Efficient / Prompt Maintenance In-House ....been acquainted with them almost 2 decades !!! Super Folks !!!!

Nice place to visit if you know somebody there if you is gorgeous kind of pricey though but the view is worth it

When I need to relax.

Lived here for a little while and enjoyed the water views and spacious bright apartment!! The courtyard was beautiful. Getting home from outside the city could be hit or miss based on event traffic.
