I have to say the first time we ate here about 9 months ago they had just opened and they did not have a full menu and honestly was not that great, well my opinion has changed 100%. I give them a 5 star rating. The meals we ate were very tasty and delicious. Will come back for sure. The whole area near this restaurant is changing more and more options to eat now.

La Guagua is truly a hidden gem in this shopping center. I've always had an issue with restaurants in Suisun City claiming to be cafes but they serve no pastries or speciality coffees. La Guagua offers both and is probably the only real cafe here. The shop is cute little thing with simple decorations, coffee bar, pastry display and enough tables to handle the morning traffic. Since the pictures I took were during one of my breakfast trips I'll keep it to that. I've been here a few times now and I always order the guava pastelito! It is a buttery n flakey delight with the perfect amount of filling. I also ordered the number 4 breakfast sandwich in a bagel which was delicious! What shines here besides the pastry selection is the coffee options. Everything I've had has been a hit and they offer decaf and milk substitutes for all their drinks. Overall, I very much enjoy this place and I'm surprised it's not jam packed. Staff is wonderful and I'll probably make this place a near daily occasion.

My husband and I tried this place a few weeks ago for the first time, and have been back several times since. We've tried the empanadas, every pastry, breakfast sandwiches, tacos nica, cubano, alfajores, buñuelos and multiple flavors of latte. Everything is always perfect, and we'll continue to visit and try new things. Highly recommend.

I was very excited to try this new place out at the Suisun Marina and it did not disappoint! Walking in, I immediately got a cozy feeling and enjoyed the chill atmosphere. The service was quick and the staff were so wonderful! I ordered three things: the chorizo empanada, tostones rellenos, and hamburguesa latinas. The empanada was fantastic! The crust was crispy and flaky while the chorizo itself was full of flavor. The dish also came with two dipping sauces. I dont know what they were called but both tasted very good and paired well with the chorizo flavor. The tostones rellenos were three plantain cups filled with different toppings. I really loved the the one filled with mozzarella. The cheese was so gooey and melty and amazing. The ropa vieja was so tender to the touch and juicy. And the garlic shrimp tasted so bright and fresh! This was a standout dish because you get to taste a little bit of everything. Lastly, the hamburguesa was delicious! It was very juicy! It was a blend of beef and pork and the usual burger fixings. Their special sauce makes it stand out from other burgers and it didn't leave me feeling very heavy like a lot of American burgers typically would. The sweet potato fries were also crisp and have that familiar flavor we all know and love. I thoroughly enjoyed La Guagua! I will definitely come back to try their other foods and their coffee. I highly recommend you do too!

Must try!! Cuban, Puerto Rican, and Nicaraguan (and many more) mix. We were at the Waterfront Festival and decided to see what was in the area for dinner. We came across La Guagua on Google maps and the menu looked good. It's right down the street in the Suisun Marina Center. There is plenty parking. It is a couple doors down from True Symmetry Brewery. We came in and it was busy. You order at the counter and then find a seat. There are about 8 tables (2 and 4 tops) and some counter seats. There are plenty menu choices. We decided on the following - Chorizo empanadas fritas - These are delicious. The chorizo is meaty and mild in flavor wrapped on a crispy pastry. The sauces it came with were good. Papa rellenas w/cheese - they were good but this is more of something my hubby enjoys. Potato balls with cheese in the center. Pan con Lechon - This is a MUST try. The lechon is tender, cooked perfectly. I was impressed with the made in-house Cuban bread. You get plenty of fries with your order. Option of fries or sweet potatoes fries. Bistec Encebollado - This is a great plate! The steak marinade (and or seasoning) is VERY good. Steak is tender. Onions are cooked perfectly. All sides he got with this plate compliment the steak. Rice, salad, and sweet plantains. Sweet plantains are my hubby's favorite, he especially enjoyed them. Habanero Salsa - just a small side of spicy goodness. My hubby likes spicy with his food and really enjoyed this. Pastelitos de Guava - To top off all the amazingness this guava pastry is definitely made with love. I am planning on buying some for the holidays. Thank you for the treat! All in all we were 100% happy with our meal and visit. We were sitting there after our meal talking about we enjoyed everything we tried. Flavors are not missing nor do they overpower. They have a huge selection of drinks from everywhere. Jarritos, Colombiana, Milca, Materva, Inca Cola, Guarana, Jupina and more. We really enjoy the restaurant Sol Food in San Rafael we are happy we have something similar closer. We will be back. Breakfast looks very good. The staff is helpful and friendly. We spoke with one of the owners who let us know they have only been open for 2 months. We cannot wait to come back. Make sure you stop and try! Went back for breakfast. Definitely a must try. Get the orange juice. Sandwich Revoltillo - Great filling breakfast sandwich. Don't forget to add some of the habaner salsa. Tortilla Argentina - Good portion. Baked egg, cheese potatoe omelet. Included pics of the breakfast items.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at La Guagua, a Latin restaurant tucked away in a plaza, and it turned out to be a hidden gem worth discovering. From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for a treat. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, and the aromas wafting from the kitchen promised a delicious experience. To start off my culinary journey, I decided to try their chicken empanada. It was a delightful choice. The empanada was filled with tender chicken and bursting with flavor. What truly elevated it was the habanero and cilantro sauce. The combination of the crispy empanada and the tangy, spicy sauce was a match made in heaven. It added an extra layer of depth to the dish, and I couldn't resist taking one bite after another. For my main course, I opted for the Ropa Vieja Plato. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint. The Ropa Vieja was exquisitely flavored, with every bite oozing with decadent juices. The meat was incredibly tender and the seasonings were on point. The dish was served with a side of perfectly cooked plantains, which provided a delightful contrast to the rich flavors of the Ropa Vieja. The sauce drizzled on the plate tied everything together, creating a harmonious blend of tastes and textures. To complement my meal, I decided to try a couple of beers from Nicaragua called Toña. I must say, it was an excellent choice. Toña is a super smooth lager that went down effortlessly. It was the perfect accompaniment to the flavorful dishes I had just savored. Overall, my experience at La Guagua was nothing short of fantastic. The food was delicious, bursting with authentic Latin flavors that left my taste buds dancing with joy. The chicken empanada was a flavor-packed appetizer, and the Ropa Vieja Plato was a true indulgence with its tender meat and perfectly paired plantains. The addition of the habanero and cilantro sauce took the dishes to new heights, enhancing the overall experience. I highly recommend La Guagua to anyone in search of a Latin culinary adventure. The restaurant is a hidden gem, waiting to be discovered within the plaza. Whether you're craving a quick bite or a leisurely meal, La Guagua will satisfy your cravings with its delicious food, warm ambiance, and attentive service. Make sure to try the chicken empanada, the Ropa Vieja Plato, and wash it all down with a refreshing Toña beer. You won't be disappointed!

The coffee was pretty good, They use between a light & medium roast for the espresso which is a little on the nose for espresso. I tried the Horchata Latte as well as the Dulce De Leche Latte, they were both good but I recommend the Dulce De Leche latte over the Horchata Latte, they use powers instead of syrup or real Horchata or Dulce De Leche, which made the drinks a little grainy but still tasted good. I highly recommend the walnut chocolate chip cookie! The service was alright, but you would mainly come for the tasty food, coffee, and nice atmosphere over the service, overall I would come back!
