I
recently
had
the
pleasure
of
dining
at
La
Guagua,
a
Latin
restaurant
tucked
away
in
a
plaza,
and
it
turned
out
to
be
a
hidden
gem
worth
discovering.
From
the
moment
I
walked
in,
I
knew
I
was
in
for
a
treat.
The
ambiance
was
cozy
and
inviting,
and
the
aromas
wafting
from
the
kitchen
promised
a
delicious
experience.
To
start
off
my
culinary
journey,
I
decided
to
try
their
chicken
empanada.
It
was
a
delightful
choice.
The
empanada
was
filled
with
tender
chicken
and
bursting
with
flavor.
What
truly
elevated
it
was
the
habanero
and
cilantro
sauce.
The
combination
of
the
crispy
empanada
and
the
tangy,
spicy
sauce
was
a
match
made
in
heaven.
It
added
an
extra
layer
of
depth
to
the
dish,
and
I
couldn't
resist
taking
one
bite
after
another.
For
my
main
course,
I
opted
for
the
Ropa
Vieja
Plato.
Let
me
tell
you,
it
did
not
disappoint.
The
Ropa
Vieja
was
exquisitely
flavored,
with
every
bite
oozing
with
decadent
juices.
The
meat
was
incredibly
tender
and
the
seasonings
were
on
point.
The
dish
was
served
with
a
side
of
perfectly
cooked
plantains,
which
provided
a
delightful
contrast
to
the
rich
flavors
of
the
Ropa
Vieja.
The
sauce
drizzled
on
the
plate
tied
everything
together,
creating
a
harmonious
blend
of
tastes
and
textures.
To
complement
my
meal,
I
decided
to
try
a
couple
of
beers
from
Nicaragua
called
Toña.
I
must
say,
it
was
an
excellent
choice.
Toña
is
a
super
smooth
lager
that
went
down
effortlessly.
It
was
the
perfect
accompaniment
to
the
flavorful
dishes
I
had
just
savored.
Overall,
my
experience
at
La
Guagua
was
nothing
short
of
fantastic.
The
food
was
delicious,
bursting
with
authentic
Latin
flavors
that
left
my
taste
buds
dancing
with
joy.
The
chicken
empanada
was
a
flavor-packed
appetizer,
and
the
Ropa
Vieja
Plato
was
a
true
indulgence
with
its
tender
meat
and
perfectly
paired
plantains.
The
addition
of
the
habanero
and
cilantro
sauce
took
the
dishes
to
new
heights,
enhancing
the
overall
experience.
I
highly
recommend
La
Guagua
to
anyone
in
search
of
a
Latin
culinary
adventure.
The
restaurant
is
a
hidden
gem,
waiting
to
be
discovered
within
the
plaza.
Whether
you're
craving
a
quick
bite
or
a
leisurely
meal,
La
Guagua
will
satisfy
your
cravings
with
its
delicious
food,
warm
ambiance,
and
attentive
service.
Make
sure
to
try
the
chicken
empanada,
the
Ropa
Vieja
Plato,
and
wash
it
all
down
with
a
refreshing
Toña
beer.
You
won't
be
disappointed!
