Very good place! It is located right off 80 going to Davis. As you can see from the pictures, it has tons of options of sandwiches, cookies, muffins, donuts, bagels, etc. My wife and I shared a maple donut and two muffins, banana with hazelnut and the other one was peach flavor. They all were amazing. We are definitely coming back to try different options. Oh, their mocha is very good. My wife's latte was okay, but I am never a big fan of lattes.

I am still in the parking lot but felt like this place deserves a review before I get distracted! On way home to Sacramento from bay area. Never eaten here before and definitely glad I stopped here after filling up at the gas station across the street. I ordered the California club sandwich and a raspberry shortbread cookie dipped in white chocolate. Obviously I ate the shortbread before the sandwich and that explains the no photos! It was oh my gawd delicious! Possibly one of the most perfect things to ever enter my mouth!!! Haha seriously it was so good. The sandwich which was served on a buttery, flaky and so fresh croissant was outstanding. Turkey, perfectly crispy bacon, tomato, greens, avocado and a delicious peppery spread. I could eat this sandwich every day! It made me proud to be from California and to share the same home state as this sandwich ! To my utter surprise there was something else in the bag... I didn't order anything else I said to myself. To my utter delight there was a chocolate chip cookie saying hi please eat me in the bag! Just the way I love my ccc "chocolate chip cookies" big, thin, and with crispy edges. Thank you for this gift Solano Baking Company.... you absolutely made my day. I'll see you again next Tuesday, and every Tuesday thereafter..... my weekly trip to the bay will never be the same! You guys nailed it!!!

Great food, I had the Santa Rosa and it was incredible. Delicious blend of meat, cheese, Dijon mustard and something else. The bread was just the right texture and blend of moisture, sturdy but not crumbly. Wife's croissant was wonderful, just the right amount of flackyness.

I just had the best old fashioned glazed donut of my life. Perfectly flaky and buttery and crumbly…simply divine. Looking forward to sampling the rest of the scrumptious delights that I bought. Absolutely worth the 45 minute drive from AmCan.

I absolutely love this gem of a local spot. They are always friendly, busy and their pastries, donuts and sandwiches are so so good (my favorite I believe the California club on the croissant with turkey, avocado and bacon). I find my family and I have been going there every weekend for something or another. My only complaint about this place is they close at 3 🤣 so many times I want to pop in there after 3 for a yummy treat. But that's my problem not theirs. 😜😂

Phenomenal donuts with a wonderful variety. Even when they are busy you can expect swift and wonderful customer service. It's our go-to place when passing by Dixon. Would love if they added French cruellers to their menu. Dinosaur cookie was a blast.

THE GREAT: Two words: half priced. It’s a roll of the dice as far as what you’ll get, but since almost everything I’ve gotten from there has been tasty I don’t mind chancing it. Half off is after 12 if I’m not mistaken. My personal fav is Boston cream, and if I want that I don’t play around with half off and get there early. They are to die for! Customer service is fantastic and everybody seems like they enjoy being at work. I mean I would too if I worked there. THE NOT SO GREAT: The Apple fritter. It’s more dough with a few bits of apple here and there, so you don’t get a lot of apple-y flavor. When I want this one I just stick to the donut shops near my house. Bacon egg and cheese on a croissant—will never get it again. There was barely any cheese and it surprisingly had no flavor. The bacon, surprisingly, had no flavor or saltiness either—which the egg desperately needed. May be sausage would have been a better option as it would have balanced the egg better. Despite these 2 things, I’m still giving this place all 5 of the stars because everything else far eclipses these two faults!

Not for me. I'm glad they are popular with the locals though. The decor is pretty sad. I've never seen such anemic and unappetizing looking cookies. So I got a donut, it really didn't taste very good, can't compare to the great donut places in Sacramento.

Found this place randomly on our way to Sacramento- the atmosphere is so warm and the menu looked so good it was hard to pick. Great assortment of sweet pastries too- donuts, croissants, cannolis and more. Will definitely make this a stop on a road trip again. Happy yo support a small local family business

Solano Baking is part of our weekend routine. Cases of donuts and an ample breakfast/lunch menu to order from. The staff is so friendly, patient with kids (and parents) who have a hard time choosing just one item. We love grabbing food and coffee and walking the half mile to Northwest Park for a fun and easy family morning.

I learned about Upper Crust Bakery through the Davis Farmers Market. My introduction was their outstanding sourdough loaf. Since then, I’ve been to the bakery several times and even ordered pizza on Wednesday nights. They have the best scones I’ve ever tasted. Everything is delicious. I love this bakery and we are very lucky to have this in Davis and in Winters.
