Ordered a takeout, pleasant experience from the server. Didn’t manage to take his name, but on the receipt written as Fernando so I guess he must be Fernando. Polite enthusiastic and welcoming. Ordered my usual Louisiana chicken pasta and tried the tiramisu cheesecake. Both were fantastic, haven’t had a chance to have it ever since air travel slowed down and finally I’m back after 2 years. Especially the brown bread which was my all time favourite. If given a chance I hope I can dine in the next time when I’m back.

Wow, amazing place. I’ve never been before, first of all, the vibe here is really good, such as a palace. The most point I love is about the food portion, I have a big appetite, the food served here so good, large plate and refill bread as an appetizer, it’s terrific! Service is good, all foods are delicious. The price is affordable. Also is pretty fair, large portion food with the normal price in San Francisco. I would love to come here again.

The place is amazing but the food is very average. Their pasta and chicken just didn't taste good. The egg rolls for appetizer was good. Location and atmosphere is great. The server we had was good, but host should do a better job managing crowds.

Good food and service. There is a wide selection of items on the menu (more than 250 dishes made fresh from scratch every day). It was easy to stop in to celebrate our anniversary as well as for desert on another visit. My favorite items are the French Fries (I do not eat much) and the Tiramisu or Linda's Fudge Cake. My wife and kids enjoy many items from the menu and all of the cheesecakes.

It is at the top of the macey building on the eighth floor. Keep going up once you reach the 7th floor to find the cheese cake factor. I liked the overlook of the city where people could eat and enjoy a decent view. We arrived around 3 and it was pretty busy. But we were able to get a seat pretty quick. They took a bit long to come out with our two orders, but the waitress did a great job checking on us and getting us a second round of bread.

I had a wonderful experience. The staff here is very welcoming. The food here was good, for starters, i odered flat bread pizza, which was crunchy loadedwith veggies ( just the way i wanted.) For the main course i odered two different kinds of Pastas, the spicy chicken Chipotle pasta tasted great. The sauce was full of flavors and it had all the right ingredients. The second Pasta Evelyn's pasta lacked that punch in the sauce. Rest these guyz allow you to customize their food which i think is superb. Rest, i think otherwise its a wonderful place and one should at least once for the experience.

Love their scrumptious meals and view! We ordered their Salmon Miso, which was amazing! Also tried their avocado appetizer, really nicee :) It's quite busy most of the time, but great view. We can view Saks Fifth Avenue from the deck. Highly recommend if you come to SF!

We stopped in for a quick lunch for our employees. We had a few glitches with our order. They were out of turkey for a turkey burger and my fries were cold. We did enjoy the atmosphere.

Place is nice , long wait. Bread and butter are served complimentary , I kept telling the server I didn’t want water because the table is so small but he kept insisting on it , I appreciate the service but I have already said no 3 times . Food isn’t good , the carne assada plate , the corn tasted weird and the rice was sticky and tasteless , the steak was great , only thing that was edible . The pasta with the Cajun chicken was dry , asked for extra sauce and wasn’t given enough , Parmesan cheese all crumbled and thrown on top of the pasta , chicken was great . Apparently the only things good here are is the meat . Got 2 cheesecakes to go , the one with fresh strawberries and got only 2 strawberries on it and the regular cheesecake , also ordered the white chocolate raspberry truffle , it was good .Pieces are to small for the pricing Service wasn’t that good , server kept reaching over our faces to take things and bring things without even saying excuse , he did offer to take the guava drink off our bill because it was extremely watery .

In my experience food always taste good here, but yesterday when I ordered the Thai chicken salad the chicken looked raw and was very soft for me I couldn’t eat it. The dressing was really good. We had mini corn dogs for my daughter but she said she didn’t like the batter and I tried it and it didn’t have to much flavor. Good things: plates are big enough for share. The fries are really good. Soda refill All the cheesecakes are delicious we always have White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake. THE VIEW Restaurant looks clean and well maintained. Staff was nice considering the place was full and could seem overwhelming.

The food is great and the view is amazing, but the staff seems to follow the instructions without any flexibility. We tried to sit near the window, but to change the table you need to go to the administrative desk (the staff can’t just change your table without their permission) and, while I was doing so, someone else just took the desired table (without even asking). I was really disappointed. :(

Very tasty, big plates, definitely two people can share. I'd say $25 a person is a really value for money.

This was my first time ever at Cheesecake Factory!!! It was exactly how I imagined. We visited twice in the same trip because it’s conveniently in Macy’s at Union Square and open late. We got lucky both times and didn’t have to wait too long. I got the Pasta Da Vinci twice because it was delicious, lunch portion size was ideal. The Chicken Madeira was delicious too. We tried the flatbread and salad lunch special - the flatbread was not worth it but Caesar salad (extra $) was as expected. Crab cake balls were hot and really tasty! We tried the original cheesecake and wow, it did melt in my mouth. The Tropical Ginger Cooler and Passion Mint Fizz were both thirst-quenching, but ginger cooler was definitely better. Service was also friendly. At the bar, our bartender said she was in training and she was awesome, it was very busy (forgot her name but hope she passed!). The lady training her was very encouraging but we noticed she was wearing the same gloves to check her phone, and also eating (berries?) while making drinks. We just thought it was odd because we worried about cleanliness. It was clean inside for how busy it was (ex. 40 min wait at 8:30pm on Monday!). If you sign up for their rewards, you can do online reso. I just need to see if we got points from our visits!

Food is good. Nothing exceptional but good food. Can’t complain there. Love that they give complementary bread and butter- so good! We are vegetarian so we ordered black bean burger and lasagna. Burger came with fries and it was filling. We actually did half burger as it was quite big. We ordered orange juice, cappuccino and lemon juice and all were pretty good. I would say definitely go there for roof top experience and decent food. Service is great.

To be honest, I dont like cheesecake factory cheesecakes, they are too oily. But the food is always delicious. Also, the waitress today in SF was also very friendly. That's why 5 stars even though I don't like their cheesecake😊

Place and atmosphere as always , nice and cozy. Service is fast even on weekday lunch . Hubby - Beer & Buffalo , suppose with the wings size . It’s kinda small and meat almost on the skin ! Use to be bigger and juicier. Combo Steak - first time to order . Not aware they are cut up , I ordered medium well came well done .

Always a pleasure to visit the Cheesecake Factory. This was a short visit and got seated at the bar immediately. Anthony took good care of us with our drinks and appetizers. Tried the Long Island and guava daiquiri. Both were amazing. Went for the margarita flatbread and the avocado toast. Both tasted good and were gobbled quickly. Must visit place for us when we are in the city.

My first time in San Francisco and I was recommended to try this place by my partner. I was originally skeptical because it seems like a tourist trap but it was honestly one of the best meals of this trip. Service was super friendly and attentative. The food was just incredible. I had the shrimp and chicken gumbo which was one of the best I've ever tasted. The addition of a cream, while not traditional, is a game changer. The rest of the table were also raving about their Orange Chicken and Truffle Chicken. Finished off with the Cinnabon cheesecake and pineapple upside down cheesecake. 11/10

This location is a fantastic place to meetup with friends and family, especially dining al fresca for lunch or dinner outside their balcony. I would recommend getting reservations especially on weekends as they get packed for brunch. The view is spectacular overlooking Saks Fifth, Tiffany’s and The Pyramid. Service was great, food was good and portioned well. Entrance is on the Geary side of Macy’s and the elevator will be to your right. There’s garaged parking across the street which is convenient. Cheers!

The Cheesecake Factory is a fan favorite. Their Classic Basque Cheesecake lived up to its expectations. Soft, creamy and juicy. A great place to enjoy dinner rolls, soup and peach lemonade. The Chicken-Avocado sub was also well crafted. Staff are attentive and courteous. Reservations are recommended.

Food was amazing and very generous portions! We sat on the roof terrace which had gorgeous city views and outdoor heaters to keep us warm. Very extensive menu with so much choice that there is definitely something for everyone! I noticed they did take away options as well which is great if u don't want to dine in as well. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Will be going back

Two of my sisters treated me an early birthday lunch. The waiter was friendly and personable. Service was good. Food was delicious. I enjoyed the celebration cheesecake for dessert.

The Brown Wheat Loaf is my favourite bread. They do sell them fresh for u to take away. Do order it early. It takes 01hr to bake. The Lunch special menu is the size to go if u want room for dessert later. Pasta go for their Angel Hair, is delicious and not too much. The Chicken Piccata was surprisingly good.

The top floor at Macy's at Union Square is a must for tourists and visitors to SF: Get your lunch on the terrace or the early evening beer or drink at the bar after a shopping tour in this typical Californian shopping and entertainment environment. If you feel like it, eat one of the dozens of cheesecakes from the display!

I was exploring the city near my hotel and I found the street skate factory so decided to get a slice of cheesecake with my sister. It was an hour away to sit down just to have some cheesecake so we got it to go ago. It still took about 30 minutes to get a slice of cheesecake to go which was really obnoxious . It was unbelievable crowded and uncomfortable and there couldn't stand anywhere without bumping into other people not my favorite kind of place. Plus the cheesecake was not that great is it frozen??

  • 3/5 Kelly N. 1 year ago on Google
Unfornately we didn't reserve so we had to wait 50 mins to get a table. Which wasn't a problem however, the salmon we ordered was raw. Overall the food is decent wouldn't say it's worth the wait if you can help it. But the portions are great as you can have it for lunch the next day.

The Cheesecake Factory in Union Square SF has one great thing other Cheesecake Factories don’t have…an amazing view of SF downtown. The food selection is large as well as the portions, and it’s good. Service is great too. There is only one elevator to get to the eighth floor, so it can get really packed on weekends. There are also escalators going through Macys that gets you there. I had the eggs Benedict for brunch (overcooked this time but place still worthy of 5 ⭐️).

It was ok. I told the waitress I had an allergy she went an asked the kitchen if it was on one item for it to be on the next item she suggested but if I'm allergic why would I want it and why would you bring it with the knowledge of my allergy. Other than that very great environment wonderful service and what I could eat was delicious.
