Mehhhh....I've been to several aquariums and this one ranks rather low on the list. It had some good features for sure, like the walk through tunnels and touch tanks, which is why it got three stars. However the fish themselves looked really bored. Can a fish look bored you ask? Yes. They can. The areas they're in aren't enriching like their natural habitats would be. The octopus was cool as even sleeping but octopus are fun for hide and seek, but in too small of a tank. The otters were also sleeping, though that is no fault of the aquarium. I saw no staff to ask questions of except by the touch pools, and the signs explaining the exhibits were faded, old and scratched up, making them hard to read. We were expecting to spend an hour or two in there - and easily doing it in a half hour, I say it's not worth it. Also, as someone who needs to sit regularly, there is quite a lack of sitting areas and benches in this place, so it's not very friendly that way. However since it's very easy and quick to get through I didn't need to sit. As a visitor from out of state, I expected more from an "ocean"/bay aquarium. Save your money from the aquarium and the parking, as parking can be expensive too. Go to another aquarium. This one is a pass IMO.

A lovely aquarium. Most of the negative reviews seem to be an issue of expectations. It's small, yes, and you could easily see everything in an hour if you don't linger much. But you could also spend several hours peacefully watching the fish and other critters. The largest animals are some small (nurse?) sharks, probably about 4 to 5 ft in length. Lots of colorful colorful fish and very cute otters. The touching pools were also a cool unique feature.

I don’t know about my opinion to be sure. It was kind of nice, but expensive for what you’re seeing. A squirrel is placed in a small glass cage and you are done watching in less than a hour. The walkable aquariums are amazing and a lot of fishes can be seen here. It’s cool to see, but I would spend my dollars somewhere else next time.

We visited on a Tuesday around noon. It was a perfect day to go as there were no lines. There were in fact very few people at the aquarium so you could take your time with each exhibit and look at them for however long you wanted to. There is an elevator to get to the entrance to the aquarium, which is located on a second floor. The cost is around $30 per person so not overly expensive. They have an otter exhibit which makes it worth it, as well as a shark tunnel. Additionally, they have a great jellyfish exhibit. BUT it all looks a little bit dated and somehow sad. Like it’s seen better days. One can see the equipment in the exhibits and it takes away from the experience. It is within walking distance from Fisherman’s ward.

This is a very cute little aquarium. The underwater tunnel you can see everything as you walk down this tunnel the fish are above you next to you and they feel like they're surrounding you. So it's really cool but also extremely scary if you are afraid of sharks like I am. The little tide pool is so cute and so much fun to be able to touch the little animals that are in there. Definitely recommend this for the entire family.

It's a small aquarium, I honestly expected it to be bigger especially when it's too pricey!! I was lucky to purchase our tickets on sale from Groupon, I would've regret it so much if paid full price for such tiny aquarium. Not much for kids to see!

Much smaller than I anticipated. I have been to much better aquariums. What made it worth while, is the shark tunnel. They have two tunnels and it was a new experience for us. It did seem very out dated. Very dull, one color and I wish it was more colorful. It still was a good experience. As for the rest of it, it wasn't much and we paid more for photos at the end than a ticket to get in. We went with someone who loved aquariums and this was a dream for her, so she really enjoyed it. As for our family, we would not go again. There isn't enough to make it worth the money once you have seen the tunnels. The outside and seal lion statues make it seem like it has been updated, and it has in some areas, but the tunnels seem like they have been untouched forever and they really need the updating. They need more for the money. However, if you enjoy aquariums and haven't seen under water tunnels before, then it would be worth it.

Way too expensive for the small time spent inside. Upon entry you are told to follow the footprint path on the floor. Doing so, the tour is too short for the money paid. You’re in and out pretty quickly. The exhibits were cool. Tunnel tank and jellyfish were awesome. There was an Augmented Reality section that was nothing but dinosaurs. Strange for an Aquarium. Overall, my kids enjoyed the experience, but we could have done much more on our trip with that money. ($123)

Very nice aquarium.. ok, it’s kinda small if you compare to Singapore, Sydney or even Atlanta.. but for $30 entry fee it was a great way to spend 2 hours. Lots of amazing marine life including some cool sharks and a 500lb Bass! Lots of displays to see and ended up with some very playful otters.. all in, well worth it to go visit!

This is a quaint aquarium, tucked away on the strip of the pier in San Francisco. I went on a weekday and there was a gentle flow of families, but not overcrowded. There was an underwater glass tunnel, interactive marine life demonstrations and a cool projector animation. Underrated though, and what I loved most was the view of the harbour outside of the aquarium; it's just breathtaking! All in all, it was a great family trip.

I've been taking my daughter here since she was 4 years old; she's 15 now and still loves it! There are many species of aquatic animals available to view. Jellyfish, anchovies, Moray eels, skate, and sharks, just to name a few. There's also a tiny Giant Pacific octopus, if you can find it. The tide pool has always been a favorite, however, it took a loss when the starfish population decreased due to Starfish Wasting Syndrome. There are still bat rays, leopard shark, sea cucumber, stars and anemone to have a hands-on (actually, one finger) experience. There's also a large River Otter display room where you can watch a couple of playful otters swim and play their day away. The staff are friendly and those who have been there since before the pandemic are very knowledgeable. The gift shops have plenty of items to choose from. The ladies bathroom is clean; I don't know about the men's bathroom. My only quarrel is that they changed the direction of flow to counter-clockwise. It was confusing when we were in the underwater tunnel and everyone was going the opposite direction than we were. There was less staff to guide visitors through for the best experience possible. This was never a problem in the past. Overall, we had a pleasureable experience. We will go back in the future and I do recommend Aquarium of the Bay on Pier 39 to everyone young, old and in between. I almost forgot to mention that all students and the nine surrounding Bay Area counties receive a locals discount!

This is a small aquarium compared to the Academy of Science but I liked the location and the ability to touch the sting rays or the sea life. The fan favorite is usually the jellyfish. There was a tour guide robot too. It was so cool to listen to what it said and follow it. This location is right at Pier 39. Before or after checking out the Aquarium, you can go to the Fisherman's Wharf Shops and Restaurants. It's also a nice stroll to see the locks, the bridge and water views and the sea lions. There's fewer sea lions now and it doesn't smell like it used to but I only saw a couple.

I went there because my day was a little rainy and I always loved aquariums. I wasn't disappointed for the price, I liked my experience a lot. There is a view of the sea lions, the otters are way too cute and there is a beautiful wildlife to learn from and admire 🐠

It is definitely not worth $29.75. I'm surprised that this aquarium doesn't have more and better quality exhibits. Some of the exhibits don't function. A bank of elevators doesn't work. If you're looking for a cool big aquarium, this is NOT it!

The price: Without a discount code the price would have been 108 for 4 of us. I did find a code online that brought it down to 84. Not bad.. I guess. But once I got there, I quickly realized the price wasn’t going to be worth it. It was literally 20 minutes of a tiny building made into a fish tank. And let me tell you; the fish don’t talk but they looked super sad and depressed. And the ground squirrel (only one!!) was freaking out trapped in his habitat tube by himself. I felt so bad!!! It was like witnessing a circus full of unhappy animals.. this place shouldn’t even be running.

Well, it's alright. Very short for the price. A lot of dead fish, some of them just looked like they were in limbo. Kind of sad really. I thought it would be educational for my kids but they were a little bummed out. Too crowded for how small the tanks are on the top floor. Honestly, the idea is great but these fish should be out in the wild. I'd go nuts if I had to live in such a small space.

$29.99 entrance fee, but because I live in the bay there was a small discount. All the parts where you are able to touch the animals were closed. There were arrows directing the crowd which people were obeying the sign. It was a short exhibit took about 45 minutes to walk through.

Nice, small aquarium. The staff was really friendly. The fee to enter was $30. A little much for how small it is but everything is expensive in SF. Gift shop is cute. The location is great. The aquarium in on Pier 39. Plenty of shops, gift shops, restaurants and activities to do. You can take the F trolley to the location and walk to Fisherman's Wharf.

We love exploring San Francisco. So we decided to go to the aquarium which its definitely different from most aquariums, the shark area is probably the best one where you can walk underwater with them. It was amazing to watch this shark swim over your head. My favorite thing about aquariums is seeing the jellyfish, they're just so unique, and they're humongous. So to watch them float around and watch them change colors. It was just really amazing. They have a great area for children as well. So if you have children, this is a great place to bring them is very interactive for them.

I'm used to the Atlanta aquarium so this place was a bit of a letdown. You pay almost $70 for 2 people and you can walk through in 30 min or less. It's very small. The tanks look really dirty and the fish looked sad. They had a ton of areas showing how sad trash and plastic is in the ocean and overall it felt like a depressing experience. They also had weird exhibits like for a squirrel... how does that have anything to do with an aquarium?

Aquarium of the Bay is located at the edge of Pier 39. We have been to many aquariums in various cities in US. So don’t want to go, But we changed our plan and visited this only because it has under water tunnels. Kids will love it and event adults. It’s really cool to see fishes, sharks swimming above you. I think we saw green moray eels, wolf eels, juvenile swell sharks, and the bright orange garibaldi, the marine state fish of California. Then there is one touch bay where you can touch juvenile bat rays, skates, shark. Once you step out of Aquarium, there are plenty other things you can do, entertainment and food. At the end you can spend some time at sea lions view point. That’s really amazing too. Pier 39 is definitely a cool place to go. I would like to give 5 starts but decided gave only 4 because 2 things one is price - it’s a small exhibit so based on that I think the prove is a hit high. second thing is Augmented Reality station was closed and no where it’s notified. At least they should have reduced the price as it was closed.

I feel like the price was extreme for the amount of content you get to see. Website said over 200 species of fish but that's kind if a stretch. It took us maybe 30 mins to walk through it and cost our family $93 to get in. I don't think I'd repeat or recommend the experience. For the price it's worth driving the 2 hrs on the actual aquarium. Otters where cute at least.

It was a fun experience for my little one but they don’t have enough space for little ones to play and interact. It was a small aquarium fun to do for once but might not be coming back. Not worth the long drive to see.

It’s not the largest aquarium but nice that the city has one. The otters are definitely the highlight of the show but I was also really surprised with the size of the one octopus they had in there. The tunnel part of the aquarium is also great fun to do.

Lovely day out with the family, it's worth signing up to Kids Pass for £1 then getting a child in for free. Blue Reef Aquarium do a lovely job with education and conservation, the tanks and fish look in great condition, you can see a lot of time and effort goes into keeping the animals healthy and happy. I was a little disappointed today to not see any if the talks or feeding taking place at the times stated but it was still a great visit. I would of given 5 stars however I was really disappointed to go into the gift shop to see it full of plastic tat, I'm sure Blue Reef Aquarium are the last people needing to be told why that's bad, come in set an example to other companies!!!

This aquarium is on Pier 39 in San Francisco. Masks are required at all times during the visit at this moment. Tickets do need to be purchased ahead of time on their website in order for guaranteed entry. I prepurchased mine & went on a Sat at about 11am & when I got there they had a sign that they were sold out for the day. There were others that were in the "wait line" waiting to take spots from the no shows. The aquarium is not big like the one in Monterey, in my opinion I categorize it more for a 2yr old to 6yr old aquarium, which is why the tickets are not as expensive. It is a 2 story aquarium with the most unique and jaw dropping tunnel tanks located on the 1st floor. Also at the very end next to the otter exhibit there is a time scheduled porcupine show. The keepers bring this huge porcupine into a closed room & talk about it. We weren't allowed to get any closer as we did need to stay apart due to the virus, but worth it as you're only about 10ft away from where they have it. They have the gift shop at the very end & a balcony which you can go to and take pics. Overall really neat experience.

Making reservations is ideal, but not necessary, as they only allow a certain amount of people at once. We had to wait about 10 minutes past our reservation time, but once you get in its great because there is a lot of space to enjoy the exhibits. The touch pools are only viewing at the moment

Awesome place to visit. Went yesterday(May 2nd) with wife and enjoyed the morning. They had a cool aquarium tunnel so you could see the different types of fish up close and walk through it. Really nice exhibits, otters were there when we went. Very good for kids as well. Lots of walking for older people so be prepared and take comfortable clothes and shoes

An amazing experience. The aquarium is on the smaller side so it makes for a quick visit; but what an exquisite place it is. My kids, and the others children around, especially enjoyed the underwater tunnel. They have an assortment of species that keeps the tour moving. I would suggest visiting early because it is located on Pier 39 and attracts many tourists visiting the area.

The Aquarium of the Bay is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in marine life. The facility is home to a wide variety of fascinating creatures, including sharks, rays, and sea otters. The exhibits are thoughtfully designed and offer a unique and immersive experience for visitors. One of the highlights of the Aquarium is the underwater tunnel, where visitors can walk through a transparent tunnel surrounded by sharks, rays, and other marine animals. It's a breathtaking experience and provides a unique perspective on the beauty and diversity of the ocean. Another great feature of the Aquarium is the focus on education and conservation. The staff are knowledgeable and passionate about marine life, and they provide informative talks and interactive exhibits that teach visitors about the importance of protecting our oceans and the creatures that live in them. In addition to the exhibits, the Aquarium also offers a range of programs and events, including behind-the-scenes tours, animal encounter. It's a great opportunity to get up close and personal with the animals and learn more about their behavior and habitats. Overall, I highly recommend a visit to the Aquarium of the Bay. It's a well-run facility that offers a unique and educational experience for visitors of all ages. Whether you're a marine life enthusiast or simply looking for an enjoyable and informative outing, this is the perfect destination.

It was incredible experience for me and with my friends. I do really recommend turists, just go hang out yourself or your friends and family. Takes awesome photos to have good memories. If you interested to explore San Francisco even though if you're live there.

  • 3/5 Katie 3 years ago on Google
I had originally scored a 2 but decided on a 3 because it might be exciting for people who don’t have the accessibility to other aquariums. We took just under 45 minutes to tour the whole aquarium. Thankfully the tickets were discounted, a full price ticket is not worth the experience. The “shark” tank has only a few small sharks, loads of rays which are fun to see, and some other varieties of fish. There is another walk through tank which was fun as well. Besides that there are small exhibits scattered here and there and an otter exhibit at the end which looked new and well kept. COVID protocols meant a everyone wore a mask and there were limited numbers of people allowed in at a time. This is a saving grace as there is not enough to look at or space to hold more people if it was a busy weekend day. If you have the opportunity to go to the CA Academy of Sciences, pay a little more for the ticket and go there and get way more bang for your buck. Monterey Bay Aquarium (when they open) is even better. Our two year old enjoyed it but we will not be back.

Visited on a Sunday at 12pm during Covid. Not crowded with the scheduled tickets. Lots of dislpays and a large underwater walkthrough experience. Sea otter and squirrels as well. The sea otter display was not crowded and easy to view compared the packed Monterey Bay Acq. Very easy to spend 1.5 here. You'll be out in 30 min if you walk fast.

Me and a friend came here on short notice. About 2 hours before closing. It was either this or the Japanese tea garden. We decided to go for this and WE HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO REGRETS! The aquarium and the rainforest exhibits are definitely worth seeing. It was definitely worth the price for only walking around for only two hours, but you're gonna need a more time than that to truly enjoy the entire experience. I'll definitely be coming back here!

Such a fun place! I've been coming here since I was a teenager and every time that I do, I'm still always blown away and fascinated. It never gets old. Plus they're always making changes and keeping it fresh and exciting. It's a very busy place, lots of people, and always tons of children running around. But even as a 32 year old lady, I turn right into one of those kids running around with the same fascination as them. A great place to learn and explore.

The otters were awesome but overall it was way too expensive for what was there

Not the biggest or the best aquarium you can visit but it was a fun time, can be quite crammed in the narrow walkways with everyone tring to see. The glass in most areas is quite dirty, not only does it make you wonder about the general hygiene but also makes taking pictures a pain. All in all for the money its not a bad time to spend an hour.

  • 5/5 Colin H. 3 years ago on Google
Although rather expensive the unlimited day pass was a good idea. The children enjoyed it and the leather back turtle came around to see everyone on the surface after walking through the tunnel. Very good disability access to the aquarium but not from Newquay itself. Too many stairs to come up and down for the aquarium. Small coffee shop limited products but reasonable prices compared to venues directly outside. Kids spent 2 hours at location compared to others.

Amazing place to see so many different kinds of fish and even a CROCODILE.

  • 1/5 diverdanclark 3 years ago on Google
Over 3 hour queues as there are only Flexi-tickets available to buy. No pedestrian control and the email I received from Bluereef has told me that this is my own fault and I will not receive a refund. Don't visit if you are in Cornwall for your holidays as you will be wasting your time and money. No social distancing controls outside beyond the 1hr mark. I do recommend Newquay Zoo though as they have limited entry and specific arrival times. Well done to all involved with Newquay Zoo

Very interesting place. Sea life amazing.

  • 4/5 Alan K. 3 years ago on Google
Very enjoyable. It's not very big (you could get through in c.30 minutes) but they had some lovely animals and creatures. They also had a feeding session at 14:30 but they feed the fish too far away from the spectators so you barely see anything.

  • 4/5 Steph O. 3 years ago on Google
Nice little place, quite small for the price... Aquariums seem clean... Its nice that the turtle had somewhere nice and safe to live out the rest of his life after being injured in Greece (I did wonder why he kept swimming in circles and banging into things until I read all about him). It would be nice to see some of the sea life being fed or some of the staff around to do little talks (this is still possible during the current situation)... Quite pricey for what it is. We were in and out in 30mins.

  • 4/5 jo 3 years ago on Google
Small place, but with lots to see. Staff friendly and helpful and with all day ticket you can come and go as you like. Octopus was beautiful, gliding over the dome and who knew there is a fish that is born with sight and evolves to being blind. Son would have liked a scarier, bigger shark, but they are beautiful. Plan where you will park and make the most of the area for a great visit.

  • 4/5 Hope S. 3 years ago on Google
Smaller than expected for the price and social distancing is extremely difficult other than that had a good time

  • 4/5 Natasha C. 3 years ago on Google
Great for children of all ages, its wheelchair friendly and the staff were very helpful. This isnt the biggest aquarium but you have the option to come and go as much as you like on the day. We were a large party (6kids and 3 adults ) to save costs we took our own packed lunch and we were able to eat this in there cafe and just brought hot drinks and slushes for the kids. Well worth a visit and right on the beach the view are stunning.

Nice family day out that kids wanted to do but not my favourite sort of day personally a bit like how I feel about a zoo I like animals to be observed m In their own environment rather than a mock one however the kids lived it and was quite educational too if I'm honest

Really enjoyed our visit to Blue reef aquarium today however for the price it is very short but didn't disappoint also we had the few still not observing social distancing those are the sort that pass covid on and dont get it .

  • 5/5 Helen C. 3 years ago on Google
Very happy with Covid arrangements -easy to distance and sanitising stations throughout. Lovely aquarium. Just enough info to add interest and satisfy curiosity. Great range of different aquatic habitats and creatures and amazing central tank which you walk under, round and look into from above. Loads to see - apart from octopus and eels, which stayed hidden. Shop very reasonable. Very hard to park nearby. We didn't want to go into town as it was very crowded, so we could have ended up with a long walk. Managed to park on the street not too far away.

(Translated by Google) Almost like a real zoo, only better! The name Aquarium of the Bay might seem like just fish, but it doesn't. It's broken down into a few areas which I think are very well divided. Everything is very well displayed. It was a little much, though. Anyone who thinks he could run through there quickly is wrong. You should take at least three hours to see everything. The staff were mostly friendly and the building was well-kept. A highlight for me was the glass tunnel there, where you could see the sea creatures.

If you are looking for something to do on a nice afternoon and don't want to head out of town this is a good option. The planetarium was great and the displays were all well done. Looked like a great place to take children. Tons of interactive displays. The Aquarium was good but pales next to Monterey. The living room, earthquake room, swamp display, and rainforest were all worth visiting.

I would have givepn five stars but there's lot of exhibits are not open touch the s ltingrays or the bat rays and starfish. There were also too many people that were not staying 6 ft away and moving in an orderly fashion. They were bunching up and or passing people in a narrow hallway. But we had fun and our little girl was excited. We enjoyed ourselves immensely.

Loved it! My family and I have been very cautious about going out since the pandemic started and honestly felt really safe going in to the aquarium everyone needs to wear a mask and keep distance. You can only go around the aquarium once to reduce risks of overcrowding/ maintain 6ft apart so they do tell you go as slow as you want because you’ll have one chance! My 2 yr old loves fish and was certainly delighted with the whole experience!

A nice aquarium although expensive for the small size of it. You can easily finish it in an hour. Highlights include the otters and the clear tunnel you pass through and see sharks, rays and other fish overhead. Unfortunately the moving floor that goes through the tunnel wasn't moving so the tunnel was blocked by strollers and people who just wouldn't move along.

  • 4/5 Melissa B. 2 years ago on Google
The animals are amazing. I really liked the otter. The only thing I didn’t like was how they keep the squirrel: it’s in a very small space and it looks always stressed. I hope they can put it in a bigger space.

This place is about $80 for a family of 5 with a free toddler. It’s very small and you could be done with in an hour. There is a cool tunnel with sharks and fish that was very cool, the kids loved touching the starfish sea cucumber anemone. There is a fun Dino 🦕 at the end.

  • 5/5 Joanna B. 2 years ago on Google
Animal meet and greet was super cool, got to meet a porcupine. Aquarium in general was cool, otters were definitely a highlight. In the underwater tunnels the escalator wasn't working but an interesting experience being under the sharks and fish.

  • 5/5 Annika T. 2 years ago on Google
You definitely get your money's worth in this aquarium. It's more on the small side, but the tunnel exhibits are absolutely stunning, there are tide pools where you can touch smaller animals, and everything is organized nicely. It wasn't too crowded when i visited. Something cute for all ages

Considering the Aquarium is in the Bay, I’d think it would be bigger than it was. Kinda small but cute. Definitely a must see with kids. Plan to do other things this day too because this will only take 2 hours of your day.

  • 4/5 Alex M. 2 years ago on Google
A little bit pricey, but a great experience if you're in the area. Nice and clean, well organized. Exhibits are labeled and have nice informative plaques where you can learn about aquatic life, the ecosystem, and humanity's role.

  • 3/5 Lakshmi M. 1 year ago on Google
It's beautiful. Good outing with kids. Very few exhibits compared to aquariums in other cities. Low value for money paid.parking costs $12 per hour.

  • 4/5 Ashley 1 year ago on Google
Really small for the price and the front desk clerk was rude and picked people to ring up at random, to which the people who got called up protested and pointed at us and stated we were in line first. The clerk shrugged it off and said she didn't care, whoever wanted to be next. Which is why a couple of stars get knocked off the total. But otherwise- a nice little quick day stop throughout San Francisco. This is definitely a one-and-done type of place though, unless you're like me and overly enjoy underwater aquarium tunnels!!

  • 4/5 Lana R. 1 year ago on Google
Lots of fun. Brought my nieces and nephews ages range 3-11 they had a great time. We hung out about 2 hours they had a blast. Was able to touch a shark and stingray. Little pricey but was worth it. Of you have young ones make sure you bring a stroller there wasn't any to rent. Plenty of seating if Elders are with.

  • 3/5 hia1423 1 year ago on Google
They take care of animals and you can tell, but it doesn't have a clear way to follow the route, they have elevators where you can see a map, but if you are not there you cannot know if you already finish to see everything. I pictured it bigger than it actually is. Great thing is that you can touch some animals. We enjoyed it, but it will be a -one time- atraction.

  • 4/5 Ali W. 9 months ago on Google
Much smaller than I thought it would be but the LARGEST tunnel I've been in. The thing is HUGE and beautiful. Complete shark tank with several leopard sharks (which is my favorite shark) and a few sand sharks. Jellyfish will still continue to be one of the coolest creatures I've ever seen! We came right at feeding time so we got to see all the food in their tentacles!

  • 3/5 Melody W. 9 months ago on Google
I would say that this aquarium is just alright. It cost me over $30 to go and it was absolutely packed and fairly small. However, the otters are supper cute You need more stuffed animals on the gift shop.

  • 3/5 Alexis Z. 10 months ago on Google
Location is nice. Overcrowded elevators. Overpriced entrance tickets. College student and seniors few dollars discounts offered. Average ticket $30 plus. Aquariums are well maintained but I don't believe it justified the price. In a nutshell this place is a small bay aquarium.. Nothing really that impressive.

  • 3/5 Jansen W. 9 months ago on Google
High quality of displays and tanks packed into a very small footprint. Price is outsized for what is maybe one hour worth of exploration, but it's all very well done, and the staff are wonderfully helpful and informative.

Oh boy this place was amazing. We don't have places like this back home. The self check in ticket booth was simple. Bring your phone and have it handy or you can pay the front desk. We seen a lot of great things here. Super fun place. Great for kids. It has an elevator so great for anyone with a disability. Or you can take the stairs. The line wasn't anything when we went. Right on the pier. They open at 11am I believe. We will be back to bring our kiddos. Fun adventure for sure that added a lot to my photo album.

Great experience at the Aquarium of the Bay! Will also say: the staff was very welcoming and also explained how to handle the fish in the public pool. You can seriously touch a ray fish there, and also some sea anemones. Staff would explain a bit of the science behind some of these creatures. I couldn't see an octopus because I was unlucky and they were small and hiding in their rocks, but I've seen many beautiful sharks, jellyfish, and much more.
