I had visited San Francisco a couple of times, but this was the first time I visited this landmark. It worth visiting once. Street parking was easy to find near the park, across the street from the painted ladies. The view of the beautiful, colorful houses can be best enjoyed from the park\garden across the street from it. The SF city in the backdrop is one sight to behold. I visited in the evening, so it wasn’t crowded. Spent a good forty minutes here. It is a peaceful neighborhood. I’m not sure if people do live in these houses or not, but I was very much reminded of Full House looking at these houses!

We loved this community of houses as they look pretty. We took good number of pictures. Friendly crowd, restrooms small park are positives. Driving there was scary due to steep ups and downs. Have to say, it's an experience of it's own. Liked it end of the day. Phew. If you are lucky you may get 2 hour free street parking to finish the activity

Whats all the fuss about?? In my opinion, there are WAY better touristy things to check out if you only have a small amount of time here, including the fact that it was on Full house. Like that Palace of fine arts. Start there! Now the Alamo (across the street) park was pretty gorgeous and worth the time for sure. **If you liked this review or thought it was helpful, give it a thumbs up. 👍thanks!

Been here several times from 1998-present..I’ve always enjoyed the tv show Full House, visited The Painted Ladies(in Alamo Square)while walking around San Fran on a personal trip out there. These row of Victorian and Edwardian houses, stands as a timeless symbol of some of San Francisco’s beautiful architecture. Having a relaxing lunch in the park with the charming view of these beautiful houses of San Fran’s historical architecture is just iconic with an amazing glimpse into the city’s history and charm. The Painted Ladies is nothing but a row of meticulously decorated, intricate detailed, vibrant painted, adorned Victorian and Edwardian houses along Alamo Square, stands as a timeless symbol of San Francisco's significant architectural beauty. And such a picturesque setting against the backdrop of the city skyline creates for a great postcard. Visiting this iconic location provides a captivating glimpse into the city's history and charm. The park and these houses are surrounded by residential houses and has easy access using cars, cabs and metro buses. Also, there is a park across the street that has so interesting and awesome art on the walls and sidewalk. The Painted Gentlemen is down the street. That is nice.

Lovely area, nice park, love to see all the dogs playing together. The painted ladies were neat to see, especially if you're a full house fan. If you're not, then you can basically see these kinds of houses all over the area. So if you're a full house fan, then I would recommend the stop. If not, then I'd say you're not missing out.

The house you could see everywhere in SFO. It's nothing different. But because the park across the street. So you have a nice view to take a look. The most interesting thing is the people who stay at the park. Their reaction is the coolest thing. The house is nothing. And the city hall is so stupid. They allow the street light and trees to stay between the house and the park.

Beautiful and very colorful. Great view and somehow calming. I always wonder if somebody lives in these houses (I really hope not). People just staring at these houses and taking pictures😅. There is street parking available in and around the location. There is a park and even public restroom available opposite these houses. Great stop for your SF tour !!

The painted ladies is a must visit, when in San Fran! ✨ The view is just mesmerising. Loved how well constructed & beautiful the houses are. Visited during evening hours, wasn’t much crowded. Easy to reach, buses/ tram available in frequent intervals. There’s a garden right across the road, you can easily roam around, take your time and enjoy there. The houses are set in an quiet neighbourhood and is very much peaceful around there. Can’t actually say if this place is wheelchair accessible or not, since the roads are very steep and uneven.

Free. Very limited parking in this area! Recommend parking off the beaten path and walking over to grab a sunset! Truly the sunset is where these beautiful ladies have their best light! Large open park across from the homes. An iconic view if you want to say you’ve been to San Francisco! Spend as little or as long as you like. We like to bring our takeout here and let the kids run free in the park. Careful after dark – large transient population.

Painted lady, One of the iconic shots of SF. That’s lucky to see this amazing view of San Francisco in sunny day with blue sky. It also has a playground for kids, lots of beautiful flowers and shaded trees made for a nice place for people to have a picnic lunch with stunning views. Street parking is free and easy to find a spot.

My daughters choice! I wasn't into the TV program that much. The view was amazing, and just the history of the homes is incredible. Wish we could go into the homes as a tour, lol.

For the perfect view, go by the kids' playground—it's the best spot! As a "Full House" fan, seeing the Painted Ladies up close was like a dream. Parking on the street nearby lets you take a relaxed stroll and enjoy the neighborhood vibe.

Even though I’ve been living in San Francisco for most of my life, I still coming to visit us tourist attraction. You get a great view of the city end of the iconic painted ladies. They became super famous after appearing on the successful full House series back in the early 90s. It definitely brings back a lot of memories. if you’re coming here, I recommend coming before sunset and if you’re here for in October, you’ll be in for a treat.

Very excited to see this because I grew up watching full house. It was not exactly as I thought it was going to be naturally the lights and cameras made the house lighter in color but other than that being a noticeable difference I enjoyed my time there and across the street at the park that the family is sitting in at end of the theme song. Stayed for a while and it wasn't too crowded.

Painted ladies is one of familiar names if you watch American series Full House. These Victorian houses are true piece of architectural marvel. If you do get a chance please visit them. I had friend who had arranged a tour for me and I was absolutely delighted to see all the intricate structures. When you visit please be aware it’s a crowded places and you may not get perfect shot always. Also phone camera lenses won’t do true justice to pictures.

I love spending time at The Painted Ladies. It’s clean, safe and the view is absolutely gorgeous. A coffee bus right at the park is great too. I showed this place to all my friends who visited me in SF and they all loved it. Nice to spend time with friends and alone with a book. I fish SF has more sunny and not windy days.

Visited Alamo square and sat on a hill overlooking the beautiful painted ladies and the city! It was fun and such a beautiful sunny day. Parking is free. -Not very accessible, my husband is in a wheelchair and would not have been able to get to the park without an assistant. It is paved but very steep so if you’re physically impaired may need some physical assistance.

Unfortunately I don't understand the hype. Have seen many nicer houses in SF. Sure, nice to look at, nice park in front, but that's it.

The Painted Ladies neighborhood showcases adorable houses with charming Victorian architecture. I suggest taking a drive or stroll along the street to admire these pretty houses, complemented by a park in front. Allocate at least 10 to 15 minutes to soak in the beauty and charm of this picturesque spot.

Despite the crime in San Francisco these days, the scenic views and art throughout the city definitely makes you forget about the hundreds of dollars you spent in car window repairs while visiting these tourist hot spots! Too bad I missed a free tour of one of the painted ladies. Check the pictures for details!

The Painted Ladies have a nice view of the city and you can see the beauty of old American architecture. It is best if you visit the place on a sunny day and with a blanket to sit on. It does get very windy up here. You can see the downtown clearly.

I love this place, we took the bus and walked to the park. It only take about 5mins to get there. We went there the weather was great and sunset time. It is really good to picnic around there and enjoy the time there. There are some area that people bring there pet play around there.

The houses are pretty but don't look as special as they did back in the day due to similar houses around. Nevertheless, the view of the San Francisco skyline from the park is quite scenic and cannot be missed! PS: Finding a parking spot might be a bit difficult
