Came to Japan town for the last night of my SFO trip, overall here is cool,‘crowded, full of food legit restaurants, all you can eat, and everybody’s favorite DAISO! Many tourists were seen chilling by the pagoda and it’s a perfect place to chill for the evening Highly recommended to visit this place!

The Peace Pagoda is an important landmark in Japantown. The plaza allows visitors to gather around the stupa and enjoy a day of peace and tranquility.

I love this place. Always take my friends here when they're visiting from out of SF. The events here are also great. Parking is easy since there's almost always space in the paid lots. Glad to see things opening up again and attracting more people.

Awesome piece of architecture in Japantown. I came here recently after having lunch in the mall. It was a Saturday and in the plaza there was a group/band playing live music right under the Peace Pagoda. It was a great community event, lots of locals and tourists all gathered around to hear the band. This is also the area in which the Japanese Cherry Blossom Festival is held. A few years back groups of kendama players would meet here play together. With the great weather recently this is a great spot to come hang out.

Place is disorganized. Bartenders are overwhelmed with conference guests. Karaoke was awful.. in addition, Bartenders were arguing over crowd. This needs to get better.

Such a beautiful place to visit in Japan town, will say was not a fan of the mall… not sure why the mall is split into 2 different locations. There was barley any stores to check out but many restaurants for tasty food.

Visited here with my daughter who is 1/4 Japanese. Her father is half Japanese. His mom is from Fukuoka. While we were walking near this tower, I saw a guy that looked so much like my daughter’s deceased Uncle. Her father’s brother who passed when he was 30 years old. It was like he was checking in on his niece.

Japantown is a fun ethnic shopping center with many items of Japanese interest. The Peace Plaza is a pleasant place to people watch and the Peace Pagoda is an interesting architectural work that adds to the area.

This is a really fun place to visit. The Pagoda is very cool and at night it is lit up. There are cherry tries nearby that bloom in the spring and are beautiful. This is all surrounded by Japantown with many shops and restaurants. Very cool location and you could spend a day here with your family. Parking is on the street so you may have to drive a little before you find a spot. I also recommend that you stop by the Kinokuniya book store if you are making the trip. Stop and have some great food before you go!

This review is for the outdoor space surrounding the peace pagoda. Busy on the weekends, however you can find a spot to sit down and take a break. Most of the seating spots have the shade of the trees so that's a plus for those rare hot days.
