Left Bank offers outdoor dining. They are extending several Booth tables along the street that is beautifully decorated. We enjoyed the French onion soup which was absolutely delicious. And not too salty. Just exactly right. I ordered a butter lettuce salad and french fries❗red house wine🍷 yum❗Highly recommend. Been coming here for years. I wish my photos gave it justice. The weather was beautiful and the service was accommodating and attentive.💗💋

Here are my pros and cons of this restaurant(also visiting from out of town): pros- beautiful setting, I loved the outdoor seating and the paintings inside, the French onion soup was AMAZING and the Créme Brûlée was very good too especially with the shortbread cookies. Cons- I made a reservation and when we got to the door the hostess looked like she had no idea where our table was so she picked a random table right by the door. We were a little cold every time the door would open, it would’ve been a little nicer to have been seated somewhere else. I ordered the “Coq Au Vin” which looked absolutely nothing like it does on the website (pictures are very deceiving). It was like I was eating more of the marinated wine than the chicken. I also thought it was just a little bitter for my liking. One last thing, Ive never been to a restaurant where bread and butter wasn’t automatically served when they serve you water. We had to pay $5 for that. Oh well! Other than that, everyone else at the table liked their dishes! I would love to come back again to hopefully have a better experience and maybe order something else!

Left bank was a bit better than it was 10 years ago, my last visit. Fries and oysters were loved by 11 year old! And fries cooked as requested. the halibut at $38 for lunch was okay.Husbands duck confit was good but dry. The annoying part was the added 3% for paying staff. I prefer that be paid by restaurant or increase the prices. For a $250 lunch felt nickel amd dimed.

This is place is solid. Good food excellent oysters and interesting cocktails. Prices well+ not cheap but not overpriced. Great wine selection. I have set outside on the patio. I've sat inside at a regular table a few times and a couple times at the bar and everywhere I said I really enjoyed it. Service is consistently good. It's beautiful at Christmas. It's nice to go somewhere that you can count on all of those factors working. It's a big place but not noisy. .

We had the tomato salad, the roasted half-chicken with mashed potatoes, and the raclette burger. They were all really good, and I’d get them again, except that I’d substitute out the fries that came with the burger—clearly frozen, flavorless, and undeserving to share the same plate as the outstanding burger. Service was a little slow, but that’s just happening these days and I try not to be a princess about it. The atmosphere is probably better at night when the lights are dim and it’s not as loud, but the art and decorations were all top tier. Recommended if you’re in Larkspur and want some French food. Really good cocktails!!

Always a pleasure to come back to Left Bank, one of Larkspur's great restaurants, along with Picco, among others. Consistently good and you can eat inside or out. Everything is solid here.

The hostess barely mumbled a word to me, and when I wished her a happy 4th, she didn't acknowledge it. The food was disappointing because I ordered the beef bourguignon, but there were barely any vegetables (no pearl onions) with the three short ribs I received. Furthermore, they were all heavily coated in the rich sauce/glaze of the entree, unlike the photos that show fresh vegetables poured over the top. I also anticipated receiving French fries with it because a Yelp photo of someone's order shows it that way. For a $40 meal I was overly disappointed, especially because I sought after this meal to fill my empty stomach after my 5 hour chemo infusion and it only disappointed me. Overall, I was mostly disappointed with the service, and I wish I had captured a photo of the presentation of the food for takeout.
