This cocktail place is must try in SF. Tried couple of bar bites and the cocktails which was really good! Also one of very few bars in SF which serves gin fizz!

Another wonderful visit to Alchemist Bar and Lounge. This is my favorite, funky bar in SF. They have a unique cocktail list, great bar food and the atmosphere is a real experience. Highly recommend the mushrooms. Service is great, they're open reasonably late and can usually accommodate you even without a reservation. Definitely great value here. I look forward to my next experience here.

Best drinks I have ever had in my life! The atmosphere made it one of a kind and they put us in a special cool seating area for my birthday to celebrate! I will be visiting here every time I’m back in SF!

Cocktails are top notch and great menu of cocktails. Music can be little better but it overall vibe and place is worth it.

Very good spot for an event night. Attended a gathering there, and great atmosphere. Great drinks (quite strong), and decent snack food. Bartender was friendly. Recommend old fashioned, espresso martini and local beers.

Great place for our after party spot. Party of 15 or so. We reserved 2 lounges next to each other. Drinks and food were good. Servers were on point. Music was a notch or two too loud for my taste. Atmosphere was great. We had a ball.

I liked the place and the atmosphere. Hostess and ladies around were courteous, diligent and fast to help us. Bartenders look at you as if you are bothering them, even if you give them space, respect and time until you give up and leave to another place or ask someone else for a beer instead of a drink.

We hosted a large cocktail party here where about 28 people attended. The alchemist and the staff absolutely delivered. We worked with many of the staff but the owner Phil was great to work with during the planning and prep. Sarah and the bartenders were great at recommending drinks, getting us all food and drink in a timely manner. The costs were what was expected and great for a major city. We had a few semi private lounge seating areas and standing areas. It was great as we had privacy but the energy of the Friday night at the bar crowd helped the vibes. Highly recommend a visit for food, drink and events.

Went here for a conference associated event. The drinks were good although had some unusual flavors and the servers were quick. The DJ set a good mood as well throughout the night. It was decorated Halloween themed. They had some snacks like chicken tenders, melted cheese and honey sandwich, and pizza sandwich which was tasty. Overall a good impression and I would be back!

I been here on two separate occasions and it's always busy, the signature drinks are unique and strong. There is a speakeasy vibe to it and they have black and white old timey short films projected on the walls. It's up a flight of stairs so be considerate of those in your party with motor function impairments. I do believe I saw a downstairs restaurant area though.

The food is good. Atmosphere is interesting, but not the vibes for me. They have upstairs and downstairs seating. The staff can be a little short, rude, slow, but I guess that’s expected in the city. Drinks are okay.

Been here a few times and enjoyed every visit. Whether it's small group or a loud and rowdy bunch strolling in after a Giants game I've always had fun. The vibe is chill and the drinks do the job. Bathrooms are clean and the service is attentive. Snacked on some tater tot app and it was yummy. Not much more to say other than to stop by the place if you're in the area. Not really a destination but conveniently located on the east side of town by the water and ballpark.

This place is great. Waitress was friendly, very helpful and always asked if we were good or needed anything else. Nothing like being at a bar and you actually get a few drinks and food and it doesn't take forever.

Alchemist Bar is a great place to meet friends after work. Their cocktails are strong and good and the place is decorated really cool.

We went for company happy hour and had a great time! Had drinks and appetizers and all were delicious. Friendly staff as well. Recommended!

Great vibe, perfect setting, awesome lounge. My drink though... I ordered an old fashion, typical drink I would say, but it was dispensed from a container. For a bar thats called "Alchemist" I expected the drinks to be made when you order. It was strong, but didn't taste right. So that's why I didn't give this place 5 stars.

Servers were a little overwhelmed with the crowd (about half full) so service was on the slow side. Choice of beers offered was a little weird - very high priced pints or very low priced cans; nothing in-between. Photo is steak tacos with a combo jalapeno/avocado sauce.

Wonderful and creative drinks but disappointed by the service - when they had speaker issues they blasted the volume of the music and when I shared that it was impossible to hear anyone inside, they said it's normal because people speak loudly and won't be able to hear the music if it's not louder. Two servers also forgot our side of marinara sauce which was also disappointing.

Great space and friendly staff. Nice vibe, patrons in late 20's early 30's. Have these cool projections on the wall like shadow cartoons. Great place for a night cap or to hang out. Took the time to make sure we were spaced out from other guests due to the pandemic. Also checked vaccine cards and ID's. Well done!

Great spot, great cocktails. The mixologists are solid and able to please.

Neat place for a drink. I went there on a Thursday night at 7pm. Place was semi empty. I ordered an Old Fashion and an appetizer. The drink was well done with a rye whiskey. The appetizer was not that great. Service was good but there's room for improvement.

I love the aesthetic of the place. The french fries were very good, and so were the cocktails that we had. Service was pretty good but a little snippy.

Cool atmosphere (second floor), food was a bit overpriced for portion size.
