Good drink selection, welcoming and cool vibe around. It is a low key bar to chill and catch up with friends - the staff is very friendly and helpful

Probably one of the best old fashions I've ever had in my life. Good service and an upbeat atmosphere.

I just want to recognize the bar staff's affability and creativity. I selectively use the label mixologist, but these guys have earned the title. Drinks turn a phrase on the originals and offer a selection of novel cocktails that are must haves. On menu, I recommend the Wizard Smoke - a mezcal twist on the Paloma and off menu, the Laura Palmer - a subtle but distict mix of pine accented botanical gin with French Lillet and benadictine...so good!!!

This bar was definitely different than I was expecting, the inside had cool cocktails I got the Reptar Rush. And then we went and played some pool in the back

Good approximations of craft cocktails. Mixed bag on the service, just depends who you get. Odd crowd. Cloudy silicone-molded ice cubes is a bit amateurish. One star off for QR code menu, kills the vibe.

Great vibe, great drinks. The house was packed the night I went, but the design of the booths made it easy to find an intimate space with my love. Highly recommended.

Love Blackbird! It's such a lovely spot to meet for a libation with friends. Tonight I met some people who were passing through town, and I wanted to bring them to a quintessential San Francisco spot. The art is always different, and the vibe is always mellow. The bartenders are great, if a little busy, but they are always personable. Somehow I always find parking in front, to boot!

We went to this bar for a business mixer. The atmosphere is incredible. The staff is super friendly. The drinks were spot on. We will definitely go back!

6:00 PM, 2023 Oct 27, discrimination & racism still exist in San Francisco at this bar! Unbelievable!!! Dear Manager I am writing to bring to your attention an unfortunate incident that occurred at your establishment last night. I believe it's crucial to inform you about this situation, as it reflects negatively on the reputation and atmosphere of your establishment. During my visit, I observed a bartender (a tall black guy) exhibiting discriminatory behavior towards a group of Asian patrons. This behavior included Igor and no service to us. We were there 6 pm, only have 5 customers at that menome. Such conduct is entirely unacceptable and goes against the principles of equality and respect that we expect from businesses in our community. I believe it is important for you, as the manager, to be aware of this incident and take appropriate action to address it. Discrimination of any form should not be tolerated in your establishment, as it not only affects the victims but also harms the reputation of your business. I kindly request that you investigate this matter thoroughly, take any necessary disciplinary actions, and ensure that all staff members are trained on diversity, inclusion, and anti-discrimination policies. Your prompt attention to this matter will demonstrate your commitment to maintaining a welcoming and inclusive environment at your establishment. The gals restroom can only hold one vagina at a time cause our vibes are so big that it requires the same amount of room as the men's bathroom apparently. I tried both and it's the same amount of square footage lol. Anyway, it's beautiful and the bartenders are amazing. Go here and spend all your money ❤️

This bar has great bartenders . The decor is very tasteful and inviting. It's a good place for a date, also just for drinking with friends. I went there a couple times before the show at Cafe du Nord. Highly recommend

I recently planned a surprise engagement/engagement party for my fiancee and it could not have gone smoother! The team at Blackbird is amazing and went above and beyond to ensure that everything was perfect. Not to mention, the cocktails were fabulous! Shout out to Justin for the cinnamon Old Fashioned- unbelievable. For future patrons-take this review as proof that Blackbird is not only a great bar to visit but an AWESOME spot to throw a party/plan an event. :)

Nice atmosphere, cute bar, and they have a billar pool. Also I like that their happy hours ruins until 8pm!! I recommend this place!

We went there around 4 p.m on a Monday. Cool place to grab a drink after a day of wondering in the mission/Castro area. The bartender was very friendly.

Pretty nice bar. The location is great right on the muni line. I went for a meetup. It was really loud though. We could not understand each other.

unique drink menu with lots of options and ideas. the bar can get a bit loud with lots of people, so the back area with billiards and couches was a nice respite at the end of the evening. staff managed the crowds well and were very friendly throughout the night!

Very good cocktails. You have to order at the bar ... It gets a little loud but overall a fun spot.

For a cold SF winter night, these hot toddies were hit the spot. I’m not usually a whiskey fan, but the idea of a warm alcoholic drink for my Friday night seemed like a good idea :) Haven’t stopped by Blackbird in a number of years, but I’m still a fan. Plenty of seating, and we were able to snag one right up in the front. Cozy corner. Downside is that the drinks take a tremendously long amount of time to be completed. Understaffed? Slower bartenders? Not sure. But I’d be a lot better night if this could be accounted for in the overall experience. 4 stars!

Inventive and tasty cocktail offerings in a dark but inviting atmosphere. Hands down one of my favorite bars in the city!

Aesthetic was cute and the drinks were pretty good. Missed the "vibe" mark though. It felt very "bro-y" + the music was too loud to chat even on a Sunday night.

Fantastic spot for cocktails. I went for a post dinner drink around 8:30 on Friday which seemed to be the time folks went to dinner, so spots opened up. Their drinks are delicate and delicious!
