Very nice place for a date with my husband. Love the drinks and the appetizers were so delicious and well made. You can't get a better view of San Francisco, love it!

This place is superb! We waited for a windy day to blow the fog. Then, we took the cable car from the starting point on Powell St at dusk. Other patrons were kind to allow us to interlope and take a huge amount of pictures from all the panoramic views. In all, we enjoyed an amazing sunset. A nice table looking towards Alcatraz. The drinks and dishes were fine.

Walk in only. First come first choose. They basically allow you to choose which available table to sit so we can compare different available tables and get the table which has best view. Not sure why some reviewers complained they were unable to get a good view table. Maybe there was no table available next to the window? Food is great. Service is excellent. Definitely this is a place worth visiting because of its spectacular views of city.

Definitely a place to try if you like seeing good views and vibe for a little. Definitely don’t over spend your time here, enjoy the time, sip some adult juice and head on back down to a better spot for food that won’t cost you an arm and a leg.

Iconic experience and an Amazing View! WOW! We chose around 7pm, that middle time where the city lights are up, but the sun's last glow is still on the horizon. Perfect! Top of the Mark maintains special Whiskey / Bourbon bottles for Veterans only. Check out the display case at the entry, and the amazing personal notes from Service Men and Women.

Military service members- Enjoy a Squadron Shot as you watch the sun set from the 17th floor on one of the hills of SanFran. Great 360 degree views. Great service. Great drinks.

A crown jewel of SF's cocktail scene, Top of the Mark brings together funky bites, delicious cocktails and a view that is now a rarity in the City. We stopped in before heading to a show nearby. I miss places like the Carnelian Room, so this was a nice treat!

I’ve been coming to the Top of the Mark almost every other month! I love bringing friends from out of town here. It’s such an iconic penthouse restaurant/bar with the tallest views of San Francisco. It’s located in beautiful Nob Hill at the top of the Intercontinental Mark Hopkins. The sliders have to be my favorite dish in the menu and the cheesecake was my favorite dessert! In terms of cocktails, my go-to is the Intercontinental. Service was amazing (shout out to our friendly hostess, Julien). I’d recommend coming at sunset to catch the gorgeous 360 degree views! Will definitely be back.

Really good service and views. Service from our waiter was fantastic. Was quiet on a Wednesday night when we went from 8pm to 11pm. We were a little surprised the tables and chairs weren't more comfortable fabric or leather items considering how upmarket the hotel and bar is. What you fm get is a little cheap and plain.

Drinks are really nice and come with a great view. I usually not a fan of gin, but their aviation and cucumber/gin drink was really good. But my favorite cocktail was probably the Golden Gate! Very refreshing. The appetizers are okay. I like the pretzels, the carnitas bites are sweet so I would say they are more like pulled pork not like typical savory carnitas. But they are still good. The views are good we came here at night. Nice ambiance. Also if you are a veteran or military you are in for a treat. Not sure how it works, but you can get free drink that has been bought by others who want to treat those who have served or are serving. Keeping the tradition going for this bar.

Top of the Mark was top class. While on the spendy side, worth every penny. We walked in on a Friday night around 6:15 for our anniversary. We were seated right away by Roman who is the Food and Beverage Manager. He pointedly did not seat us by the window, but seated us at a more private elevated table where we could see in all directions. We were treated to excellent service by our waiter, Vincent, and incredible food and drinks. Roman was kind enough to buy us a round of prosecco in honor of our anniversary too. Thank you for an unforgettable anniversary dinner. Also thank you for your support of our veterans (see 21 Gun Salute Cocktail) and our current and past service men and women (see Squadron Shot). What a beautiful legacy you maintain.

After visited Cityscape, we were told by friends Top of the Mark is as good as it. But after visiting yesterday I feel otherwise. First of all you don't get to pick your seat, you have to be seated. 2nd of all everything is very old and I believe it needs remodeling. Service is great but maybe too attentive that I don't feel at ease. If you love old vintage feel, maybe it's for you but sorry not my cup of tea. For the cocktail I paid for $23/cocktail I would say it's taste just ok, and everything I see and the old vintage serious vibe, 🤔 I don't feel worth it.

This place tends to disappoint, but it really came to a head when Hella Funny's Tony Sparks used his usual dive bar tactics and overbooked the venue like 2x denying entry to many customers who paid $50 for tickets and $50 for parking to get there. The venue should hold its entertainment to a higher standard.

Staying at the hotel which occupies the space underneath it, we decided to check it out and were pleasantly surprised with how relaxed and comfortable it was, and the views of the surrounding areas were amazing. Service was a bit slower than expected. We ordered a round of drinks and a charcuterie board. Food and drinks were good. Not great, but above average. Learned they do have music and dancing on Saturday nights.

Frank our server was fantastic 👏 especially since the event coordinator didn't anticipate as many people coming for 1st ever comedy event. Luckily we came early + reserved a table for delicious bites and bottles so we had room + a view before it got super packed with lots of people standing line at the bar for drinks. Definitely would order the asparagus Flatbread again & the hummus platter with veggies.

I love the Top of the Mark, always have, but I am hitting them hard because of their service. They actively advertise and promote "The Squadron Shot" (see photo) and proudly display the bottles but despite being a veteran with ID no one could tell me how to actually get a shot. The server, bartender and the manager all told me to see one of the other two; they would also happily sell me a bottle for the display case but could and would not do anything else. This made me wonder if you are wanting veteran's to come maybe you should do something for them when they show up, something other than stringing them along. Hopefully they will see this and train their people or just take the Squadron Shot down and be done with it, again. Overall it was a disappointment.

This place is nice! And gives a very vintage feel to it, with beautiful views of SFO. We waited for a windy day to blow the fog. In all, we enjoyed an amazing sunset. A nice table looking towards Alcatraz. The drinks and dishes were fine.

This is the place to forget about everything dreary going on elsewhere & savor all that’s wonderful in the Bay. I last visited 5 years ago, and since then, it feels like nothing’s changed (in the best way possible). I wasn’t a guest at the Hotel, but every service member made me feel SO welcome ; everyone was warm & their timing was perfect. The pours of rosé were incredibly generous; the tuna tacos were divine, and the cheesecake was absolutely heavenly! The view, of course, was the cherry on top - fog or shine, the City is marvelous from the Top of the Mark. Worth every penny & every minute commuting ! Will definitely visit again!!

A fantastic Christmas brunch. Every detail was nailed. Food, service, piano, and that view, all paired for a wonderful experience. The history of this establishment and the "fleet" bottles took me back to a long ago place. From the bacon to the caviar, every bite was better than the next. Service was attentive and not overbearing. If you're looking for a wonderful Christmas brunch, or you're just in town and want to grab a drink, be sure to visit the Top of the Mark.

What a delightful experience at Top of the Mark! Celebrating my husband's birthday was made extra special by the wonderful staff. When I called to confirm my reservation (that I had booked a month in advance), the staff assured us of the best corner seats. From the sweet confirmation call to the warm birthday wishes upon arrival, the attention to detail and excellent service truly enhanced our celebration. The pre-reserved best corner seats with a view added a perfect touch to the memorable evening. My husband loved his birthday pre-dinner! Highly recommended for special occasions or a casual Friday evening with a beautiful view of the city!

Stopped here for an early evening drink around 4:30pm on a Friday. Was pretty quiet and they set us up at a table with a view. Drinks were delicious, expensive but it was a great little date spot.

Top of the Mark in San Francisco hosted a fantastic comedy show featuring talented local Bay Area comedians. The venue's amazing list of signature cocktails added to the enjoyment. I typically only order gin and tonic. This evening I decided to order The InterContinental 75 (The Botanist Islay dry gin, Lavender Honey, Lemon, Piper-Heidsieck Brut Champagne) and was delighted with the hint of sweetness. The bartender also included a glass of iced water which was an added bonus. The breathtaking views of the city skyline made the experience even more special, even with the comedian fear of heights jokes. I hope Top of the Mark adds a few more of these soon!

When we got here, the guy that seats you was rude, we asked for a table , and he sat us at the waiting area and said this spot would suit us well. I said, "How can we eat at this table?" He said it's all they had. However, there were many seats available. We came for my daughter's 21st birthday, and he pre judged us. After ordering at the waiting area, the waiter said, "Please come sit at this table, we can put the tables together . He was awesome. The drinks were awesome. The sliders were dry, but the cheese charcuterie board was great. All in all, I was a little disappointed, but my daughter enjoyed the experience

Great Service! Our server (I think his name was Frank) was incredibly attentive and cordial. He was very accommodating and polite. I will return.

We had a few of their signature and they were all amazing. Also ordered the shrimp tacos and the ahi tuna tartar which were both great. It's so nice seeing the 360 view of downtown San Francisco.

We reserved our view just before the sunset, it was astonishing. The tacos shrimp and the mini burger were really fresh and tender. We drank beer, but they have a lot of cocktails and also desserts

One of the best place to spend dinner time with your loved one. I suggest you to go there during a sunset. We had their Tuna Takati Tacos and Chocolate Mousse Cake and Intercontinental cocktail and GoldenGate cocktail for a drink. Overall great experience with the view of San Francisco from the top of the 15th floor.

Had a lovely window table watching sunset. Drinks and food was really good. Service was excellent. Highly recommended. Must pay a visit when you’re in San Francisco.

Extremely limited menu. I wanted dinner after checking in around 7 pm and they only had appetizers on the menu. They were good but I really wanted a meal since I had not eaten since breakfast. Service was good and they gave me the view of the city, I have the golden gate view from my room so that variety was nice.

Probably the best bar for a stunning sunset in SF when the sky is clear. If you cannot get a resy by the west facing window, the bar has the best seats of the house. Cocktails are well made and reasonably priced. Take the cable car there and save the parking money for drinks. I also had their house made chips. Yummy.

Good setting in a very chic hotel, the bar is small and can fit upto 8 people max , you have an awesome view but if it's the foggy san Francisco day then you'll miss out, and also if it's night. Want to take on the views come during sunset. Lovely hotel also.
