My
husband
and
I
came
here
for
a
staycation
(we
live
in
the
Bay
Area)
for
a
concert
in
the
city.
We
stayed
for
one
night.
We
stayed
here
from
Oct.
21-22,
2023.
Our
car
was
broken
into
in
the
garage
on
the
upper
3rd
level.
We
woke
up
to
missing
items
in
our
car
and
it
is
clear
that
it
was
an
experienced
robber
who
did
this--not
an
amateur.
We
understand
that
the
hotel
is
not
liable
but
they
should
do
a
better
job
protecting
their
patrons
if
they
are
going
to
charge
$45
daily
for
parking
in
a
gated
garage.
They
have
a
security
guard
in
the
lobby
which
is
obviously
a
joke
because
whoever
did
this
got
past
the
security
"guard."
They
also
have
no
surveillance
cameras
and
say
that
parking
is
at
your
own
risk-which
we
understand.
We
enjoyed
everything
about
the
hotel
and
even
felt
safe
walking
at
night
to
the
Fillmore
for
our
concert.
But
to
only
apologize
and
not
offer
to
reimburse
or
do
anything
about
the
car
break-in
is
outrageous.
To
access
the
floors
that
have
hotel
rooms
via
elevator,
a
hotel
key
scan
is
required.
However,
to
access
the
parking
garage
levels,
a
hotel
key
is
NOT
required.
We
believe
this
is
how
the
robbery
happened:
the
person
got
past
the
security
"guard"
and
did
not
need
a
hotel
key
to
get
to
the
elevators.
I
don't
care
if
break-ins
are
"normal"
for
San
Francisco,
a
hotel
should
be
doing
something
to
AVOID
this
from
happening
and
protecting
their
guests.
We
will
not
be
back--IHG
lost
a
customer.
