By far the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Everyone is so helpful and welcoming. You can tell than the costumer service is genuine and no one has any attitude. The parking garage is a HUGE plus, I never have to worry about my car being broken into. They have hours for adults only for the pool which is amazing as well. Imperial floor has a private lounge with a buffet and an employee is always around to help. Definitely recommend this to anyone who can afford it and they’re pet friendly!!!

A truly wonderful stay here in this authentic Japanese hotel to kick start our stay. On check-in we were looked after by a very welcoming Ricky who asked the purpose of our stay - when we told him it was our honeymoon he thanked us for letting him know and upgraded us to an even nicer room! It was a lovely touch. We had some complimentary drinks in the bar and Alaina there provided advise re wine selection and we had fantastic chats with her while she provided some tips re things to do on our trip. The room was fabulous with an amazing view, we stayed on Halloween and returned back to a cute treat turndown with a handwritten card from the hotel. Amenities were generous and high end, all staff were so so friendly, welcoming and accommodating and the location was fantastic! We will definitely return here for our next trip to San Francisco.

Great experience! Beautiful hotel. Room was smallish but elegant. Wonderful corner unit with fun views! Great bathroom with heated bidet seat :) Brunch was delicious. Enjoyed the Japanese items offering. Felt like I was starting my day on a healthy note. One of the few hotels with a pool and this one was perfect. Soaring glass ceilings made it bright and open without the San Francisco chill. Location was convenient and walkable to Union Square and trolley car station. Didn't feel at all like area was sketchy like reviews I'm seeing for other hotels. This will definitely be a return destination for us!

Great classy hotel and has an amazing restaurant/sushi bar in the hotel. Very comfy lounge area and really big heated pool. Good valet service and was about couple blocks 5 min walk away from the trolley station. Surrounded by lots of shops, restaurants, close to Union Square. Perfect for my anniversary vacation with hubby!! πŸ₯°β€οΈπŸ’–πŸŽ‰πŸ‘°β€β™€οΈπŸ€΅β€β™‚οΈπŸ’πŸ’ŽπŸ’‹

Exceeded my expectations for a hotel in Union Square right up against the Loin. Service was great, friendly staff all around. Pleasant on the phone and very cordial in person. Stayed in a pet friendly room and the pet accommodations were great, made me feel like I could enjoy the stay with my dog and not like I was being a burden. Dog run was perfect for the short stay. Was able to take my dog everywhere (except the pool, gym, and locker room obviously). Great pool, hot tub, sauna, steam, weight room, exercise machines, and locker room. Only complaint was there was no spinner to dry your swim suit nor plastic bags for your wet clothes, but that's just me wanting more. Food was decent, probably could be a little better for the price.

Fantastic service, amazingly attentive staff, they make you feel at home and cared for. Very plush rooms, beautiful view, sparkling clean spa. An addition of a proper Cold Plunge would put this Hotel, "Off the charts."

Highly recommend. Room was super clean with a nice view, pool was warm, restaurant was perfect for a quick drink before our dinner reservations. Where this place really shines is the staff, everyone was exceptionally warm and accommodating. The valet literally sprinted down the ramp to get my car. I was very impressed and would stay here again in a heart beat!

Great place to stay, stayed on a higher floor and had a wonderful view and it was quiet, we could sleep which was glorious. The bathroom had a tub which is a must for me and so hard to find, I loved that, it also had enough room. The location was good enough that we walked all over the place and saw all the sights. I think this is a great place to stay. We did not bring our dogs but it is dog friendly.

The best Hotel in San Francisco! 5 star rooms and public spaces. Amazingly well maintained. Incredible views across the city. A REAL gym, heated pool, steam room and locker rooms. The food and entertainment are always top notch, location is unbeatable with walking distance to cable car routes, shopping, union square, China town, etc... The staff is very attentive and gracious. Whoever runs this Hotel should be highly rewarded, regarded in the industry and sought out for consultation. They have managed to hire, train, and motivate the staff to ensure every guest is well taken care of.

It’s probably one of the cleanest hotels I have stayed in Union Square. It’s a Japanese chain so you can feel the Japanese ethos of hospitality. The sad thing is the hotel is on the edge of Tenderloin, so avoid walking on one side of the street. The queen room is very small. Around 270 sq ft. Other than that, the hotel has a large lobby and plenty of place to work

Everyone this hotel is wonderful and it’s a beautiful hotel. I wish I could fully recommend it but unfortunately the area is does not feel unsafe. I was nearly attacked by someone a few blocks away. Given the cost of the hotel I just feel like the location is tough. Also everything is extra here so what you pay for the room does not include all costs.

Older hotel with new renovated inside, clean and organized. The front desk earn this hotel 5 stars. We got really good service from front desk Alina, she was super nice was able to help with all our need. Alina has good attitude and friendly smile. Management needed to give her a raise , we travel a lot, she is really nice to go beyond her duty to help with our need.

Very comfortable. Excellent view to the downtown, if you take the right side and floor. Clean. I like the Union square area with many food, drink and shopping options. Michael at the front desk did an amazing job to show us a room and provide the best rate and experience.

Over all 5 stars. However I had no idea this would be located in an area where I would have to worry about taking my kids out for a walk in the evening. It's a great place if u plan to stay indoors, or not have kids with you for the evening walk. That being said, the hotel itself, the service and the staff were excellent and I'd go to any Nikko hotel anywhere in the world because of it.

Fantastic hotel. We had a spectacular view from the room (high up and outlook over the city / Salesforce tower) and the amenities are excellent. Everything is sparkling clean, the bed super comfortable and the staff has a high service standard. We also got to enjoy the 5 PM complimentary drinks and bites which was wonderful. The pool is warmed and the view over the city is spectacular, the jacuzzi is a great plus after enjoying the extensive fitness area. Absolutely recommended, what a gem..!

Beautiful hotel in a convenient location to downtown. I wish the lobby were on the main level. You end up missing most of that beauty when you go from the elevator entry level up to your room. Staff were very accommodating to requests.

If I understood the location before I booked, I probably wouldn't have gone with this hotel - I'm glad I did though. The hotel and staff were excellent. The spa and pool were fantastic (and actually worked compared to a lot of other hotels), the breakfasts were amazing. I was very pleased with my visit. Be careful in the neighborhood though and don't travel alone at night.

Nice rooms (modern, tastefully decorated), friendly staff (helpful, not intrusive but happy to talk if you want to talk) really comfortable beds. Nice imperial lounge with good breakfast and evening snacks and drinks: not a huge range, but good as it's only a small club. Really enjoyed my stay and would happily stay again.

It's a nice hotel. Parking could not explain how my truck was an oversized vehicle. I called and asked before arrival. They said anything under 12' tall is fine. I still got charged. Fine whatever. They have an amenities charge? Whatever. They would charge you a fee for breathing air..... If they could. Between the taxes and extra charges it could kill if you were on a budget. So maybe it was a nice hotel at the initial price. After all the charges, it wasn't that nice.

This is a clean modern hotel. Rooms are comfortable with good ac ventilation system. I have allergies but the air was clean and good. The staff here are friendly and helpful. Located in heart of San Francisco walking distance of Union Square and Market Street. I would stay here again.

Absolutely worth staying if you're looking for a relatively central location within SF. Clean rooms, brilliant facilities and welcoming staff. Located very close to Union Square, the Hotel Nikko is well situated for most activities within SF. The staff were extremely attentive and welcoming, I arrived early and instead of turning me away they checked to see if they had a room available - which saved me 6 hours of waiting around! I really appreciated this. The rooms themselves were extremely well equipped, clean and spacious. I didn't unfortunately get to explore the fitness or dining facilities - but from what I saw they were lovely! We'll worth staying here if you need to be by Union Square!

Nice hotel. Good bar. One problem was that they tried to charge me personally the full room rate at checkout when a corporate negotiated rate had been arranged in advance and I was on that list. The Front desk staff initially refused to correct this and I had to escalate to management to resolve. Lovely hotel otherwise. Enjoyed my stay. Just check your bill closely before leaving.

This hotel was great. The pool area is amazing( heated to perfection ). The people were friendly. The bed was very comfortable. Valet team was helpful. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The only feed bad is perhaps the shower and shower head could be updated. Also with all the one ways around the hotel pay attention to where you are entering while driving to this hotel.

While the hotel room/staff were nice, hotel guests are NOT guaranteed a parking spot in the hotel - had to park at different garage a few blocks away. Also charged an additional $45 amenity fee an hour before checking out. Bathroom towels had yellow stains. No room whatsoever in minibar fridge - full of their foods/beverages.

Obviously in a city like SF, it can get crowded with their busy streets and events. We stayed at this hotel for Pride weekend and it was fairly easy to find using GPS, but again, traffic and crowds of people. The hotel has valet parking, beautiful decor upon walking in. The hotel is glass windowed to see inside while walking the street close by the hotel. It is a very large hotel, room was very nice and clean, stocked fridge with drinks (soda, water, alcohol) and mini snacks like mixed nuts and candies. The bathroom door is a sliding glass door, no lock but really no need. Beautiful shower and spacious. Pool located on the 5th floor with outside seating to relax and a fitness center. It is quiet, well lit, elevators, easy process when checking in and walking distance to many shops, stores, and places to dine, take out, and markets. I'd return for another stay.

Highly recommend this hotel! The rooms are small but they are very nice and this hotel has all the amenities! It is a very pet friendly hotel with a little rooftop dog run! The swimming pool looked amazing and they have a hot tub and a huge workout facility that is bigger than some paid gyms. The suites are large as well as we met someone staying in one and we checked it out. We also got to check out the catering and the top floor event space. Great space for hosting events with a view of the city. The hotel has valet parking and luggage storage as well. The hotel is central the metro and the cable car system.

Amazing night at hotel Nikko with my husband. Too bad we arrived too late to enjoy the pool. The room was clean and super comfortable. Room service was excellent

Honestly 3.5. First up, valet parking is the ONLY parking available directly with the hotel. The first time you pull up they tell you how the garage is the same price with no in/out, but there are cheaper garages around. You just might not get a spot even with an in/out pass during peak hours. Once I called concierge to get me to valet but they said they'd put in the valet order for me instead, and the order never went. Secondly, the valet charges on a 24h basis, but you should check. I got in at 10:30 the first night and they said I'd be good until 10:30 the next day, but when I took my car out that night at 10:29 and didn't go back to valet, the second day charge of valet still showed up on my bill. I did get them to void it. It was only that close because of the mix up mentioned earlier. The pool is small, jacuzzi has a legal maximum capacity of two. Sauna was spacious but locker room only had one child sized bench. Fitness room was surprisingly nice and well equipped. Free iced flavored water + cups, foam rollers and yoga balls. Cable machine and TRX as well. Not sure why anywhere I looked Hotel Nikko has 0 pictures of their fitness room. Lastly, what really made me take off almost a whole star, is that they closed their main entrance. For a hotel of this caliber, I won't accept any excuse. There was no lobby full of seats either, so closing the front area of the lobby just did not make sense to me. This probably doesn't bother other people but it doesn't sit right with me.

Wonderful staycation at a beautiful hotel in the heart of the City. First time in years that I walked around Union Square. It was great to see the streets were a lot cleaner and police were visible everywhere. Hopefully tourists will come back to see what San Francisco has to offer.

Such an amazing hotel. Customer service was exceptional. Room service was also exceptional. The hotel room are extremely clean and comfy. The attendance are a bit slow with attending with guests. Otherwise, I enjoy the hotel.

They are super helpful and courteous. Had a problem with my reservation, not their fault, but didn't make feel inconvenienced at all. Michael, got me right in. Then Theresa was amazing giving recommendations and directions. Much appreciated they have been great.
