We booked through Chase and didn’t see a “destination fee” when booking. When we checked in the desk agent told us it was $30. It wasn’t until check out that we learned it was $30 per day. What a rip off. The hotel provides you with one water bottle per day as the amenity covered by the destination fee. Housekeeping came into our room against the wishes we discussed with the desk agent when we checked in. Some of the employees were very nice but others were short, dismissive, and condescending. The room was good minus thin walls. Nothing like being woken up by a person in the next room having a phone conversation. The crown mounding in the hallway on our floor was falling off the wall and was typical of the dated, unmaintained look of the building. The attached restaurant had good food at prices typical of those nearby. It closes at 10 am which was inconvenient for us. At the time of our stay all food was being served with paper plates and single use utensils because they didn’t have a dishwasher.

Location was good and hotel was overall great. The staff was excellent and very professional. They answered questions and were very helpful. Breakfast was really good. The complaint that I have is their description of the room includes a multi-functional work space. We figured with that we could both work on our laptops on Friday. There is no multi-functional work space. The little table that you see in their pictures is all the work space that you have. At my request, they did bring a small table to the room that I used for my laptop. The small table already in the room was barely big enough for a laptop and an extra monitor. Without this issue, I would have given them 5 stars.

Meh. I stayed here last year and it was okay. I genuinely don't understand how they're claiming to be a 4 star hotel. There were no extra amenities beyond a 3 star, if that. The place is a bit drab and dark. It felt like a half mile trek from the elevators to the room. The room was clean and comfortable, though. My biggest issue was security. Exited my room one morning to find a homeless guy had been sleeping in the hallway by my room. I understand this is a sensitive issue in this part of California and I hate to sound like a jerk, but it was a safety concern, and would be anywhere. Staff had been reported of his presence and were trying to get him out and he was quite agitated. That alone would prevent me from ever returning.

BEWARE. On arrival 2 x valet, pointed towards the front door. No greeting or effort to move from their position. The receptionist advised our room was ready but if we wanted to access it before their book in time we would have to pay $30. Which we declined, she then advised us the room rate was now an extra $34 per night. They do not advertise their rate because it doesn’t look great on their website. They also asked us did we need our room serviced daily as they were short staffed. Previously in other hotels on our trip with the same problems we were offered a credit at resort. But the greatest issue I have is the receptionist, who said to my husband whom she had never met before “I love you” that must be the most disrespectful, stupid thing to say. The receptionist was not only the ambassador for her employer, San Francisco and the United States. Did she think it was cute? If you book, the rooms are clean but the hotel is in the business of employing smart Alec receptionist and gouging every cent from guests.

Very poor service quality. We had to call the rude front desk manager 4 times to get house keeping done. They will not replenish the water in your room despite it being a part of the destination fee. Restaurant (brick and beam) is good - probably the only saving grace. Definitely not worth the $200/ night price tag.

We spent 6 nights at this hotel in SF, very well located in Fisherman’s Wharf district, restaurants and amenities all around, perfect stay there. Customer service was good, however $50 for umbrellas when it should be for free, that’s something that should be logical for every hotel worldwide. Market was quite poor, should be more choice in terms of products, even local would’ve been great. But all in all, great stay there, room, bed & bathroom were nice. I do recommend this hotel to anyone who wanna experience the cable cars close to it.

Stayed here with my husband and 2 kids 7 and 9. It was perfect if you are there to tour the city. The rooms with the king and double are great for couples with kids - mini fridge great for doing breakfast before a big day of touring. Comfortable beds to pass out on at the end of the day. Outdoor pool was not heated enough to swim in but the hot tub was great. Location is a few minutes walk to pier 39 and Starbucks, Trader Joe’s and Safeway right around the block. Can’t beat the location, comfort and price.

We had a wonderful stay at this location. It will be my new go to hotel for San Francisco stays. The room was comfortable and very clean. Front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. Valet service was prompt. The hotel was remarkably quiet and peaceful. Restaurant breakfast was outstanding. The only negative thing I could say is that the waiters in there for the morning shift seemed very disorganized and scattered. Overall, very pleased.

I agree with many other posters that it was surprising how old and dark the hallways were and a long walk to and from the elevators, one of which rattled and jolted its way up and down. Our room was tiny (5th floor, two double beds with “City View”) and thin walls let us hear televisions and even bathroom noises from neighbors. Silly things too-like the trash liners were never replaced in the cans were irritating because of the other disappointments. The heated pool was quite cold and towels offered were flat and worn and slightly stained looking. Parking was quite expensive, but staff was very nice. Disappointing for a trip we saved up for!

Have stayed several times without issue. “Manager” willing to change both rooms into my name over the phone. Refused to put the names actually staying in the room upon arrival. Admitting they shouldn’t have changed and refusing to correct the issue. Forcing us to stay on hold with 3rd party for a 3 minute issue that was an easy fix in person.

Good hotel near the center of San Francisco. The rooms are big and confortable. The personal is very kindly and help in every thing you need. The breakfast contain a lot of meat. If you think in visit the city, it's an excellent option.

Stayed here for 5 nights in late August. The hotel’s location is convenient for food and tourism. The pool is a rare find among hotels and we were lucky enough to use it for a couple of days while the weather was warm enough. The rooms definitely need a overhaul as the decor, fixtures and amenities are all quite dated. Functional it is a good hotel but it feels more basic than modern.

I love this place. The staff are great, the pool is fun, and the view is lovely! I only have one small complaint about the food, and its that the sausage was slightly undercooked on the third day. I had sausage every day, and it was only one day that we had that problem. Nothing was too bad, but my biggest complaint was that I was barely able to sleep. Despite all the windows being shut in our room, we could still hear everything that was happening outside. I frequently woke up due to loud banging outside of the windows. I checked multiple times, but the windows were closed every time. It also got really cold in our room, and everytime I went by the windows, there was a cold draft. I wasn't cold at night, just in the morning. I know the hotel staff cant do much about this issue, but unfortunately, this did take away from my stay.

Nice place to stay for a short visit. The rooms are clean, comfortable but definitely on the small side. Great service and efficient valet. Location was lovely too. Can’t beat walking distance to Trader Joe’s!

Very nice hotel. Decent pricing for the location. It has free decent speed wifi and lots of charging spots for phones in the room. It Has a heated pool that was a bit chilli at night and the hot tub made up for it after long days of walking. The front staff was friendly and helpful to give directions and help. There is an attached bar and restaurant.

As a member of Hyatt club, I get used to the highest quality. I have been to many Hyatt hotels. However, this particular Hyatt was very disappointing. I don't think the hotel should be qualified as a 4 stars hotel. The building is very outdated. I stayed in the room #560 for 2 nights. There is bad smell when come inside the room. The bathroom is rusty and dusty, it has many yellow spots. One of the mattresses has a huge sag (my Parents's bed, didn't know until the last day). Be honest, this Hyatt is closer to motel level rather than 4 stars hotel level. Giving 2 stars

My recent stay at Hyatt Centric Fisherman's Wharf was simply outstanding. The attention to detail throughout the hotel was impressive. The room was beautifully appointed with a breathtaking view of the city. The staff was attentive, courteous, and made every effort to ensure my stay was comfortable. I particularly loved the rooftop lounge, which offered panoramic views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. Without a doubt, this hotel deserves its five-star rating and more. I can't wait to return!

Location was good as a 2 night tourist stay near to Fisherman's Wharf. The first allocated room had a whistling noise where the windows did not seal but a quick call to reception and this was resolved with a change of room. The room was quiet, clean with a comfy bed and good for our stay. As with a previous review, the elevators were always slow and therefore busy. The reception staff were not particularly friendly and we did not use any of the restaurant facilities as there are plenty of others in close proximity. Hotel is located very close to the Alamo rental point for car rental pickup. Easy walk to Alcatraz ferry. Would stay again if in the area.

Lovely room with comfortable beds. Lots of hot water and well vented bathroom. Had a mini fridge and coffee maker that made Mom 😊 happy. Had a nice view from our window of the city. Was nice and quiet during the week. Friday morning someone outside and another person inside were loud quite early that morning.

We stayed here with our well behaved dog (Heidi) and couldn't have been happier. All of the staff were very welcoming and very helpful. Dining with our dog was very easy as we were permitted to eat in their very open passageway area next to the main dining room. Location is great! Hotel is situated within a block of the F Street Trolley and three blocks from Fisherman's Wharf. We usually stay at the the San Francisco Hyatt Regency on the Embarcadero when we travel to San Francisco without our dog, but were very happy at the Hyatt Centric Fisherman's Wharf. Again, can't say enough about how nice and helpful the staff were! Will definitely be back! And all the stuff you hear about San Francisco being overrun with crime and homeless, didn't see that during our four day stay in SF. Some homeless, but no more, if not less, than what we've seen in years past.

I’m not the type to complain but this hotel. Honestly, don’t even know where to start. I will have to say Probably thee worst experience I’ve ever encountered. To think for the price you’re paying, it will be a nice place to stay for vacation. WRONG! Please look elsewhere. For the week that my family and I were here, we had our Room cleaned maybe once. And The only reason for that was because I had to call front desk to ask if they can send someone to come clean. Even then, they still never come by and clean our room. With three kids, our trash tends to pile up fast. I didn’t care if our room was spotless clean, I just needed someone to collect trash. I would have to get out of my room and go look for a trashcan nearby or a housekeeper on my floor to throw my trash in. I’ve asked them if they can come and at least drop off some trash bags and towels. They never do. Called front desk again if they can have someone bring fresh towels up. They sent a gentleman and the towels he gave me was in a trash barrel. With trash in there still. He hands me a complimentary water bottle and the towels out of the trash. Picked up my trash and left. The beds Were infested with bedbugs. My kids came home with bites all over their face, their backs and their legs. Rooms and Resort fee is ridiculously expensive. Probably my last time coming to this place.

Staff and location really make this hotel worth while. I was generally surprised at the age of the property though. The hallways and rooms are dark, aged, and small which is odd for such a new brand such as the Hyatt Centric. Food service was still in to go containers and breakfast staff seemed really stretched though. This is really late in the pandemic to still be having these issues if you ask me. Happy to try this hotel again when the small issues are fixed.

Had an unplanned extra night in San Francisco and stayed here. Within walking distance to the pier to check out the sites and restaurants along the bay. Also right down from the powell/mason cable car if you need to get back into the city and don't want to climb hills. The hotel room was large and clean and looked like it had been recently renovated. Staff was friendly, easy check in. The only thing I had an issue with is that the elevators were non-stop packed and had to wait every time I needed the elevator. Hotel is close to the port during my stay several groups leaving for a cruise were staying at the hotel as well.

We used the hotel for a one night stopover in SF and it was fantastic - the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, the location is perfect for exploring Fisherman's Wharf and the hotel was very clean and modern. Valet parking isn't cheap, but it was much more secure and convenient than other local options. Highly recommended!

The Front Desk staff are very nice and hospitable. The rooms are also clean and modern. They do have a restaurant attached to the hotel. But surprisingly they don't have room service available. There is a pantry available with limited snacks by front reception. Overall a nice property.

The rooms are nicely furnished with a desk and seating area. Bedding was top notch! Though the room rate was reasonable for the City ($230), to park in the subterranean garage was an additional $65 a day, which is the same rate they charge anyone to park off the street that's not staying at the hotel. The problem I had with that was the Tesla charger was located in the garage and to charge the vehicle you had to pay the additional $65 parking for the day if you wanted to use their charger. Otherwise the hotel was pleasant with plenty of amenities.

The hotel in general is just tired - good spacious rooms but storage is limited for clothes. The walk to our room was ridiculously long. Given an interconnecting room where we could hear next doors conversations. Pros - comfy bed and location the rest just all ok at best

I love it here. My well placed escape! Great Front desk. Not happy about the elevator not needing any security key to enter being so close to the street. But really lovely view and room is comfortable!

We were here for 5 days and had the best experience. The staff was super friendly and went out of their way to make things happen. The location of this place is probably one of the best in the Wharf area, you are a 10 min walk from everything! The rooms were clean and up-to-date. I have no complaints at all with this hotel. We had a blast visiting San Fransisco and one of the reasons what the great location of this hotel. I would recommend this hotel if you're planning to visit fisherman's Wharf.

Great hotel with modern rooms, indoor pool and a gym. Within walking distance to lots of great food options and touristy things. Service was fantastic, the only reason I'm giving 4 stars is the $30/day "destination " fee they sneak in after you've booked.
