Easily one of the worst hotel experiences I've had... Rooms were not really clean, containers for toiletries weren't sealed and could have easily been contaminated by previous guests, could hear everything from the outside street constantly as well as noise from rooms above and around my room. Almost zero amenities such as hotel bar, food, etc. Really the only good thing was the location and even that wasn't good enough to give this hotel a reprieve. I'd definitely avoid this place and find something else.

I absolutely love this place. A free bottle of wine, they have shampoo, conditioner, lotion, body soap, and hand wash all for you to use. They have an amazing game room and restaurant too, and the place e smells relaxing. We stay there and no where else. It's heavenly.

Overall just alright. Price to value ratio is low. Charging 5 dollar for a bottle of water in the room is so 2005. I paid 400 per night, just throw in the water. It has a breakfast bakery items and coffee, so that's nice. I asked to get a receipt emailed on checkout, but never got it. Had to spend 10mins on the phone to get one again.

This was a interesting and cutely decorated hotel. It is in a good location lots of tourist attractions in walking distance. Few interactions I had with staff were fine and the cleaning lady was super nice! This place has a really stinky SMELL though... Kinda hits you as soon as you walk in the lobby, followed by the hallways, and unfortunately the room too. Cutely decorated hotel and clean just a really funky cheese and gym socks smell.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights, and we loved it. The location can't be beat, and the hotel itself was awesome. Super cool and interesting theme and decorations, very nice and friendly staff, and the room was great. We got a one bedroom suite, so we were in a tower in the back (not facing the street), so it was very quiet. Also, I see that a lot of people said the hotel smells... I disagree! They had a Glade plugin scent in the lobby and the rooms, but we actually really liked it. I guess that's a personal preference. I have no complaints and would recommend that anyone stay here if they need to stay in San Francisco. It was affordable in comparison to other hotels in the area, and it didn't feel run down or old. Loved it!

This was the best, most affordable, and most accommodating hotel that I've ever been to! For example: 1. We had asked to be moved to a larger room since my mom had surgery recently and we needed a more accessible room. They offered 2 new rooms to choose from at no extra cost. 2. We needed some leftovers heated with bowls and utensils and they provided them even though the stuff was super short for the Thanksgiving holiday and the kitchen was closed. 3. The Netflix on the TV had stalled and someone came up right away to fix it. 4. Our car's front bumper had popped out like it was hit and we asked them to check the cameras to which they provided footage, and it didn't anything to do with them – AND the valet even fixed the front bumper for free (even though it wasn't their fault!). Not to mention the hotel was so well designed and the basement full of fun activities. We genuinely enjoyed our time here so, so much and everyone on the staff was so warm and welcoming. Literally will only stay here every time I go to San Fran. Plus there's a super cool bar across the street, the owl bar!

Well designed, quirky hôtel in the heart of San Fran! The game room is a delightful, unique surprise with mini basketball hoops, pool and skee-ball 🎯 Lobby is comfy and staff was polite and helpful. Only downside was the layout a bit complex (changing elevators to get to room), no bell service to help with luggage and rooms are tight especially for four people. Shower and amenities were top notch! 🚿

This hotel was beautiful. The rooms are very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location could not be better but it was a little loud being right next to bar. Great staff made the atmosphere a jewel.

Hotel Zeppelin was an affordable and comfortable hotel for my partner and me. The room had a funny smell, which the housekeeper explained was from the old carpets, but they were accommodating and provided us with Glade and other room options. I didn't understand why the amenity fees were so high. On the website, it stated $29+tax, but they charged us $35+tax per night. Not to mention, there are essentially NO amenities, other than free water bottles from the front desk and Nespresso pods. However, the location was perfect and the beds/towels/bathrobes were very comfortable. The staff was super friendly and responsive as well!

Our sleep quality was greatly disrupted when someone knocked on our door at 5 am for cleaning, and we could hear people walking above our room. Additionally, we found that the receptionists could have been friendlier, and a few more smiles would have been appreciated. On the positive side, the location was excellent!

Great hotel for a great price! Nice clean rooms, good service and really cool theme and vibes! Their activity area is really nicely designed and a cool place to work. I checked out the gym but didn’t get a chance to use it but it was very clean with a reasonable amount of equipment options. Very good location. There is a night time security guard at the door as well as San Francisco is a little rough outside but nothing too serious. I felt just safe and fine in the hotel. There are a few hotels nearby slightly cheaper and I highly recommended spending the few extra bucks to stay in a modern, clean, well staffed space.

I booked a room in early January 2023. This was when the massive storm hit the coastline of California and the Bay area was hit hard with flooding, highway closures and state wide storm warnings. I was coming from out of state and as soon as I heard the news I contacted the hotel. They were incredibly unhelpful and were unwilling to work with me on the cancellation, even given the extreme weather event that prevented me from even entering the state!! With zero integrity and customer service, the hotel charged me for the room and simply sent me an email informing me of what they were doing. I would absolutely NOT STAY here again and not recommend it to anyone!!!

Great location and value. Plenty of good restaurants and shops around. Did not hear much street noise despite being in the middle of a busy city. The staff was super nice and friendly (probably what we enjoyed most about staying here). There was a mix up when we checked in at the hotel. We booked a suite with a king bed, but received a normal room with a queen bed instead (the issue was eventually sorted out). The floor was creaky but it's expected of an old building.

Classic hotel in the heart of SFO . Amazing staff and some courtesy breakfast included for those that wake up early . First come , first serve . Room are not so big but extremely comfortable. Every little detail has been thought already , I even had a small black towel as makeup remover. The hotel has a restaurants with one Michelin star ⭐️ . The only thing I don’t like from them is that they don’t have they own parking , and they depend on a Valet which is 50$ per day plus tax and only open from 6 am to 11 pm . As alternative you guys could park on the street near to the hotel or in other public parking , but anyways rates could be same since parking in SFO is pretty expensive. Another thing is that they charge a guest amenities fee per night of $29 plus taxes , which most hotels also do . Overall it is a great hotel with such as good location to reserve if SFO is in your bucket list.

Given a room with broken shower. The handler even directly dropped on ground. I literally don’t know how can a so-called 4 star hotel didn’t notice this and give it to their customers. I have to dress and pack everything up again in mid-night to change to another smaller room for shower. It was a really annoying and disappointing experience considering the expectations of a 4-star hotel. Updated: the manager comes to me the next day with a very friendly attitude and he offered me a larger room as reimbursement. +1 star back for the good attitude afterwards.

I booked this reservation over a year ago. I had called them a year ago after paying almost $600.00 for 2 nights to confirm that they did receive my reservation and there would be no extra fees or charges. All Amenities are not included they will try to charge you $100.00 extra per day along with Valet parking ONLY that is an extra $58.00 per day. Their game room that was included in the Amenities charge was extremely out dated and lackluster. We were in a King size suite, the bed was horribly uncomfortable and the room was small for the price I paid. The water they do provide in the rooms…$5.00. For water. Over all not worth it at all. Would not recommend ever.

Hotel rooms and corridors smell very bad, like dirty vacuum cleaners from 1952. Decor is nice, but was just slapped over an old building that was not actually updated so it’s like lipstick on a pig. Staff was rude and very unhelpful. There is also a $28/day “amenity” charge that they probably put in the smallest print somewhere at the bottom when you’re booking, which would be fine if they had any actual amenities but they do not. Location is ok if you’re going to an event downtown, but I would not choose this area if you are just visiting San Fran in general as it is a little dangerous, filthy and full of homeless people.

Charismatic hotel with room for improvement. The Pluses: (1) Really friendly staff at the reception (2) Key card controlled access to entrance for added security The Negatives (1) the experience will be much better if they’d put in some air refreshers / diffusors - there is a really unpleasant sewer kind of smell everywhere (2) There is a sunken floor board in my room with the nails sticking out right outside of the bathroom. I had to carefully avoid stepping on it so to not get myself hurt.

Overall was a good stay. The location was great and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was just really small (I opted for a king bedroom, which looked spacious from pictures), also the additional amenity fee per night seems excessive given there's a very small gym, and a limited game room in basement that I don't think is often used. (If you're a tourist, I'm sure you'd rather be browsing the city than hanging out in the game room)
