Beautiful hotel with great staff. I recommend this location and I will definitely consider staying at their other locations if I happen to have the opportunity. The rooms are small but clean and nicely decorated. The bed is comfortable. The shower has great pressure. The only downside, which the hotel has no control over is the homeless population. The only thing that would have made my stay here better is if there was on site parking. Special shout out to Rick at the front desk. Thanks again to the entire staff.

I NEVER write reviews, and I had to write one for this place. The cleanest, nicest location I have ever been at. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and accommodating for any request I had, especially Arnold! My bed, pillows and blankets were really like a cloud. Everything was so soft! And very minimal noise compared to other places I’ve stayed at. Also, I love a hotel that has hardwood floors instead of full carpeting. It just feels cleaner. And this may be a little thing, but in my mini fridge were coffee creamers- such a small touch, but if you’re like me and need a cup of caffeine to get you going, this made all the difference- no crummy powder creamer packs. Honestly this hotel was everything it said it was, and I am so glad I stayed here! My only regret is not knowing about StayPineapple sooner so the rest of my travel could have been at their other locations! 10’s across the board for this place!!!

First time staying here and absolutely loved it! First off, 10 points for being so dog friendly - I mean they even had a stuffed toy dog on the bed 😆 the lobby and rooms are gorgeous! I stayed in a king bed suite and was more than enough room for one with lots of storage space. I work in sales and am constantly on zoom and have always had issues with hotel wifi but not here!! Hotel staff were so friendly and even honoured my request for a late check out :) location is in very close walking distance to union square. Plenty of restaurants and bars near by. Will definitely be staying here again!

To start with, my husband and I have stayed in the Staypineapple concept several times in Portland and Seattle and have had great experiences each time. This hotel did not measure up to our expectations or previous experiences. The rooms are very small, the AC is spotty, and the building is on the edge of a very rough neighborhood. Most of the staff also seems very inexperienced and confused. The front desk gave a key to our room to another guest (after we were already checked in and occupying the room). I asked for a fan because the air conditioner was so spotty, and the one they brought was so filthy and dusty that I didn’t dare even turn it on. Overall, the worst hotel experience we’ve had in a while.

Amazing hotel!!! Lovely staff, super friendly and always with a smile 😁.. the room was small but all that you need.. the bedding 🥺 the best thing I've ever had.. super comfy and neat... They provide you with a handful of amenities, such as delicious cookies, unlimited bottled water, bikes, one complementary welcome drink 🍻... The hotel is located very close to Chinatown, Union square. In the surrounding areas are amazing coffee shops, diners and even michelin star restaurants.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Stay Pineapple hotel in San Francisco and I can't recommend it highly enough! From the moment I arrived, the staff went out of their way to make me feel welcome and comfortable. One particular member of the staff, Gene, stood out to me. During my stay, I had a question about local transportation and Gene went above and beyond to help me out. He not only provided me with detailed information on the best way to get to my destination, but also took the time to mark out a route on a map for me and give me some insider tips on places to check out along the way. His enthusiasm and friendliness really made a positive impact on my stay and I was grateful for his assistance. The hotel itself is equally impressive. The lobby is chic and modern, with plenty of comfortable seating areas and a stylish bar. My room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, with a comfortable bed, high-quality linens, and all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. Another great feature of Stay Pineapple is its location in the heart of San Francisco's vibrant Union Square neighborhood. I was within easy walking distance of some of the city's best shopping, dining, and cultural attractions. Overall, I would highly recommend Stay Pineapple to anyone looking for a stylish, comfortable, and welcoming hotel in San Francisco. With its excellent service, attention to detail, and fantastic location, it's the perfect place to stay for a memorable and enjoyable trip to the city. And if you have the pleasure of meeting Gene during your stay, you're in for a real treat!

We loved this hotel and the location. Jonathan at the front desk was great. He shared his favorite restaurants and was eager to make our stay/trip amazing. The hotel was generous with water and coffee and delicious cookies. The lobby offers refreshing pineapple infused water which I’ll now be making at home. The rooms had cozy bathrobes and two comforters on the bed so you don’t have to share. I will definitely be coming back

I am extremely picky when it comes to hotels! I have to say when we first arrived I was not happy because although it’s close to very thing it’s not in a great location! Don’t walk at night! It’s a block away from a very bad neighborhood however I was pleasantly surprised when I entered the hotel! It was very clean which is my top priority and the service was excellent! Everyone was so helpful and very friendly! It has a pineapple theme throughout which was adorable! We were celebrating our 32nd anniversary and they gifted us a free drink and food item! They give you as many water bottles as you want for FREE! And they also give you a free drink. The only con is that the room is tiny!!! But other than the small room and sketchy neighborhood I would stay again here!❤️

I came on here to say that Jonathan at the front desk is absolutely wonderful! He's very helpful, attentive, and is a great listener. I love this boutique hotel chain. I first stayed at the San Diego hotel and loved that one, although the San Francisco one is even more impressive! A note on parking: If you need to park your car nearby you will probably park it in an independent valet garage next door (no affiliation with the hotel) but the guy who runs the place is a nice guy and when I was there he charged $30 a day. A note on architecture: The building is designed such that some of the rooms have windows facing another part of the building very nearby (about 10 feet or so). These rooms are still great but if you are really hoping for a room with a view - maybe mention that when you make your booking.

Everything about our stay was awesome. We enjoyed the room, the location and the staff was super awesome. Diane was one of the staff members that really went above and beyond to provide excellent customer service. The only thing keeping our trip 5 ⭐️’s is the hidden fees. Everywhere in the world when we book a room, it includes all the fees. Not here. They add about $40 a night. I completely understand paying for room service requests but when you don’t make them, you shouldn’t get hit with extra fees. Practice honest business and let the people know upfront your charges. You’ll attract more clientele

Without doubt one of the favorite hotels I stayed during my time in San Francisco! Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff and general manager, the restaurant very flexible (appreciate this!) and the barista Jenny deserves a special thanks. She was makes the best coffee and made sure all our request in our coffee's were followed. We had two great evenings here, which obviously also added up to the experience. The atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home to me. All respect for all the staff and Jenny who does a great job here; a true sample of excellent hospitality!

Great hotel, the rooms were cosy and the bed was amazingly comfortable. It is close to everything, transport and the cable cars, if you are going to stay anywhere it should be here. I spent 5 days there and i can honestly say that where our room was located it was next to an alley that had a club down and not once were we disturbed. The staff were all lovely and very welcoming and couldn't do enough for you. Would definitely come again!

I had a great stay on this hotel! It's been a while since I was able to stay on a kind of hotel like this. It was a luxury experience but wouldn't rip your pockets off. My kids had fun and was really comfortable during our stay! I also had help with one of their staff Jenny. She assisted me and made sure all my request were fullfilled. Kudos to your Jenny! You do deserve a raise

What makes a good hotel? Great location because it is near everything. Nice place, great vibe and food as well. Very pleasant place and clean rooms. I had a chance to meet one of their wonderful staff named Jenny. She made the best coffee and very polite girl she is a great asset to the hotel. I hope every hotel has a staff like her. Although, all of the people are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice.

Five stars for the staff- Everyone at the front desk, behind the coffee bar, and the housekeeping staff was wonderful. The rooms are extremely comfortable with beautiful bathrooms. I didn't get the pineapple thing- which is fine. The Tommy Bahama products in the bathrooms are not great, but it is lovely that the hotel provides self care options in their rooms. When traveling for work a decent shampoo and conditioner in a hotel bathroom feels like paradise, and that Tommy Bahama stuff was weird.

Nice hotel for SF standards, though the rooms were a bit oddly maintained. The bed was amazing, nice and comfy, with super soft pillows! The area is central, yet has a few strange homeless people around it. Jackson from reception was great, so was the more senior man during the mornings (he gave us great tourist tips).

It was an excellent stay and customer service at Staypineapple SF. The guest services were very polite and welcoming. The lobby was so pleasingly relaxing so as the bedroom. The room was so clean and neatly dusted. Breakfast was so awesomeness well served by staff. They served pastries and sandwiches. We all loved the pineapple cookies that they served in the afternoon. I also love the puppy souvenir. I can not wait to bring my family here again.

This is really a lovely hotel with caring, professional staff. My son and I were in town to attend my husband's memorial service, and Joel, Jackson, and Erick went out of their way to make a difficult time better for us. They not only took great care of my son and I, they took excellent care of our friends, who stayed there as well. The well-appointed lobby was a beautiful place for us to gather with our friends, and Joel made sure we felt comfortable there, encouraging us to enjoy drinks and nosh together. It is a well-located place to stay. The rooms are clean and sport lovely decor. I cannot recommend this hotel enough!

When we got here they were having some computer issues but they were so kind. Offered us drinks and snacks while we waited. Once we got in our room it was adorable. The bed was SO comfy which is super important for us. The room and bathroom were both very clean. The location is great with plenty of food places around. The lobby was nice and is a great place to hang out. The staff was truly awesome, we would highly recommend staying here. We plan to again.

What a brilliant end to our 2 week stay in california. The staff are the very embodiment of excellent customer service. They were attentive, friendly, fun and accommodating. The room was great... Very comfortable beds and pillows with cute touches from the pineapple coloured bath robed to the the pineapple styled loo roll. A really memorable stay with terrific staff... Especially the manager Joel who was just great.

This boutique hotel nestled in the city of San Francisco is amazing from start to finish. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door. The desk clerks were extremely friendly and accommodating. They explained our parking options and even provided a room to store our 2 e bikes overnight. The room is small, but very clean and the attention to detail was top notch. The bed was extremely comfortable from the sheets to the pillows to the individual duvet covers. The room we had was on the second floor but we were not bothered by any street noise until around 7 AM. It’s the best night sleep I’ve had in a long time! I didn’t want to leave the comfortable bed this morning! We used our drink coupons for Americanos the next morning and enjoyed a breakfast sandwich in the breakfast area as well. Coffee was amazing and the sandwich was delicious! I would give more than 5 stars for this hotel if I could! We had an amazing time!

The hotel is well decorated and very nice. I was excited to find a pet friendly hotel however there is absolutely no where for my 9lb to do her business. We tried to move the carpet in case she had an accident only to find quite a few dogs had an accident prior to us. The tiny size of the room and bathroom are terribly uncomfortable for the two of us. Thank you but until you can confirm greenery is a close walk I won’t be staying there again. The noise was a nightmare, literally. I had to pound on the wall next to me at 11:40pm. Not once but two times and then finally someone knocked on her door to stop singing, yes, singing. We left a day early and couldn’t wait to get out of there. Boutique hotel looks wonderful but not ideal.

We spent the Valentine's Day @Staypineapple SF with our Husky Bandit. It was our first time to stay there, and the best experience we have had in a long time! Bandit was greeted warmly by the front desk staff when we checked in. We were pleasantly surprised by a bottle of red wine, some dark chocolate and a hand-written welcome note from the hotel in our room! The hotel is conveniently located near Union Square. Easy walking distance to Union Square, Market street, Curran Theatre, Chinatown and financial district etc. The lobby was so elegant and beautiful, and the cafe served delicious coffee and food. All their staff were so kind and welcoming. We surely will come back!

Lovely older Hotel off of union square by about three blocks. Neighborhood in transition but felt safe in a city environment. Overall quiet and the bed was fabulous. A little disappointed they charge for coffee in lobby and you will need to call the desk for everything - ice, more coffee pods, pillows etc. Lots of tipping. Anyhow, despite being a small room it was a comfortable place to sleep and would stay again.
