Let me FIRST CLARIFY that this is NOT a HOTEL. It is a MOTEL where the doors face out toward the open air and it is Located on a very busy street. Space is limited in the front lobby but it is enough handle business and keep it moving. There is NO continental breakfast with eggs, cereals and such but there are plenty of places to get out and explore. If you are looking for a clean, inexpensive place to lay your head with basic accommodations, THIS IS FOR YOU! It has free parking, a coffee maker, a microwave, a mini fridge, and in a great location. Did I say FREE PARKING? Hubby and I researched for HOURS before we decided on this spot. We couldโ€™ve used our 3/4 star hotel points but WHY?? The price point is great and has all of our needs met with FREE PARKING! We arenโ€™t high maintenance but we are particular on what we need, so if you are expecting more of a hotel style with a parking garage, valet service, 24 hr front desk service for a wake up call, or maid service knocking on your door to fluff your pillow and change your sheets, donโ€™t bother staying here and giving poor reviews because of your high expectations. Seriously. This really is a hidden gem.

This is one of the many older motels along this stretch of Lombard Street. Motel means no lobby with rooms facing a parking lot. The Seaside appears to be one of the nicer motels. The room was very comfortable, well appointed, with quality bedding. Nice bathroom with quality updated design. The staff was very friendly and helpful. A great bargain for the costly SF market.

I choose to come here because of the free parking. I had some valuables in the car and didn't want to risk anything with street parking. I saw this on expedia for like $150 & it was worth the cost. The room was great. Perfect for an overnight stay. Very clean. Close to park to walk my service dog. Close to good restaurants and felt like I was in the city without feeling too busy. Staff was friendly.

Book it! There's a reason why this motel has high reviews.great price for what you get. Has everything I was looking for. Very clean property, microwave and refrigerator, ice machine , comfortable bed, awesome shower flow, LG tv , A/C if you need it and safe location. Didn't see any homeless in the area like you would if you stayed at fisherman's wharf location, which is 30 minute walk or $12 Uber ride away. You also have free parking and 2 gas stations just around the corner. Laundry facility is also a couple minutes walk around the corner. Noise not that bad compare to homeless and people noise you'll hear at a hotel at fisherman's wharf. I definitely recommend this motel

We stayed here at the start of our roadtrip. The Seaside Inn is in a fantastic location and within walking distance to a lot of attractions including the piers. The room was clean and facilities were spot on. There is first come, first serve parking out front which is private to the guests and monitored by CCTV. Would definitely reccomend staying here if looking for a hotel in the area.

We stayed there recently for the Drake Concert. It was such nice and beautiful location- parking isn't bad just first come first serve. I booked the King room which i highly recommend. I definitely will be staying here again!!

Our favorite place on the Lombard stretch, near the Marina District. We stayed 1 night back in March/April. Easy parking 20 feet from our door. Quiet, clean stay. Decent bed, no bugs, no weird smells, no unruly guests. Location is accessible on foot to many stores and restaurants. Owner was pleasant on phone, and in person. Look forward to our next visit!!!

This is a nice place to stay! Room was clean and tidy. Very friendly lady at the reception. She checked us in in the middle of the night. We would recommend staying here!

Have to admit that the location was great. However the ceiling was super noisy even with a tiny move, the wifi was just a joke-never works more than 3 secs. The staff was not at the front desk after 7pm so people had nowhere to complain...will never come back.

We stumbled upon this quaint, family run hotel due to being exhausted from driving all day, and I'm so glad we did. Clean room, comfortable bed with plenty of pillows. Lots of plugs. Lovely artisans soap in bathroom. This is a personal "like", but the window can be open to let the cool fresh air in. Obviously leaving open at night wouldn't happen, but day time while occupied is lovely. Mere feet from busy Lombard street, the traffic noise is high. That doesn't bother me at all, but helpful to anticipate if one prefers quiet. Very tight parking area, large vehicles be aware. Parking is free. Accommodating friendly, staff. No breakfast provided, just FYI. Convenience stores a short walk, some restaurants also. Parking note: Our Uber cost $9 to Fisherman's Warf/ Pier 39 , while parking garages quoting $25-$30, an hr.

Nice and comfortable place to sleep at night. The room style is a bit old but what you need after a long day of walk. The blanket and pillow need to be replaced as those are torn. Location is great just next to the lake.

This is a charming hotel in a great location. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly and very accommodating. The location is fantastic. You're a few minutes from Pier 39, the Golden Gate Bridge, the pained ladies. We would gladly stay here again.

For its class, this location is pushing all the right buttons - Affordability, cleanliness, and location. If you like chocolates on your pillow every night, then you probably need to go elsewhere. I, frankly, can't say anything decidedly negative. Some of the fixtures could be viewed as weathered, but I have stayed at relative and friends homes of the same condition. There was daily service of towels and cleaning. Slept soundly every night though the city does awake early and the traffic noise is worse in my hometown then what I heard there. Yogi and spouse responded immediately to a minor adjustment (that my traveling companion found more concerning than I did). There is no breakfast or coffee service (and in today's world you can understand the challenges.) but there are a number of excellent restaurants within walking distance (try Home Plate...you can thank me later.) Easily would choose Seaside again for a future visit.

Great off-season rates (even with SF included $30 per night fee), Marina District area is not bad (I don't feel unsafe walking at night), convenience mart on the corner, free parking, security cameras. Rooms were clean and had all the amenities for a budget traveler. Microwave, fridge, ice, single serve coffee. Daily included room service (post-covid!). Would stay again.

Great service, great beds, dated furniture, very clean (though carpets could be cleaner) decent room overall. Close to Fisherman's Wharf.

The woman up front was extremely friendly and so patient and flexible with us. The rooms were clean and the beds were super comfortable! 10/10 recommend!

Receptionist Yogi was very polite and accommodating. However, the parking lot at the motel was very compact and difficult to maneuver. Moreover, they need to have a barrier at the motel so that outsiders cant enter

Clean room , very comfortable bed and pillows, we slept so good . Felt very safe. Quiet, the little bit of TV we watched had a great reception. Location was close to alot of the places we were going to including the pier 39&42, Japan town etc. Staff very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again. Thank you so much!

Yogi and the staff here were the highlight of my trip to San Francisco! Being my first visit to this area they made sure I had a map and gave me many ideas of things to see and do. The rooms were clean and updated, parking was tight but free and I had no problems. Everything was so nice here I even extended for an extra night. Thank you for making my SF experience an unforgettable pleasure!
