This is a really nice hotel. They have free espresso drinks 24/7 in the lobby/lounge area, a 24/hr gym, washers and dryers for laundry, a beautiful roof top deck to take in some fabulous city views (SF and Oakland) and/smoke and it’s open 5:00am-11:00pm. The rooms are nice. Very clean, yoga mats. Friendly, helpful staff. Overall superb experience! You’ll be happy you stayed here!

This was my first time really booking a trip for myself rather than tagging along with family, and I’m glad I ended up going here! My girlfriend and I stayed Friday-Monday morning of Memorial Day weekend, and while it was a little claustrophobic at first (especially the hallways!), the staff were great, the location was great, and the room was pretty good. Biggest cons: Some others have mentioned thin walls, and our neighbors were doing shots at 1am when we got to the room after a day of work + travel. Also the bathroom door has more of a gap around the edge than usual, and there was no fan in the bathroom to help with ventilation. Pleasant surprises: water bottle filling stations on every floor, surprisingly comfortable beds, really nice guy checking us in at 1am

We arrived for a weekend stay, and we were told there had been a mixup with our reservation. We were supposed to have a room with two beds, but there weren't any available. Instead we were "upgraded" to a "suite", which featured one king bed and a pullout bed. So for two nights, instead of sleeping on an actual bed, I slept on a chair that folded out into a bed. For this inconvenience, the staff did offer us free breakfast, and a few drinks in the hotel bar. Our room didn't have additional bedding for the fold out bed, and I had to call down to the front desk three times trying to get bedding, before finally going down to the front desk in person to ensure I got the correct bedding. The shower had great water pressure, but overall the room was fairly small, especially for a "suite". The staff was honestly pretty great. They did what they could to try to make up for the error, and apart from getting bedding brought up, we didn't have any real issues. Breakfast at the attached restaurant was far above what is normally complimentary at hotels, so that was nice. 2 stars for the reservation/check-in process, but the helpful staff brought it back up to a three.

Good value. Rooms are pretty basic but they're clean and the hotel is in a great location. Free coffee and water bottle stations were nice to have. My only complaint was I could not pair my phone to the Chromecast on the TV.

We got a queen room which was spacious, clean and had all the essentials that we needed. There was no bar fridge though, which would have further enhanced the experience. We got to check in early without cost, shout out to Liz for taking care of us. Overall although an older building, the hotel was a very comfortable stay. The location was solid and the area was very safe.

Nice clean hotel. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are good also. Cons...The room I had though was extremely small and no microwave or refrigerator to keep things cool. Ice was only available on the first floor. For a worker out of town it helps to at least have a small fridge to keep things cold when in a hotel. All in all though it was a nice place to stay. Great for weekend getaways or overnights.

Honestly for the price we paid, I was very disappointed, and unimpressed. The rooms are way smaller than they looked in the photos, and definitely were not as clean as I’d hoped. In the shower grout there seemed to be bits of blackish mold. The bed was made very poorly, and the room smelt stale/ was super muggy and hot. We choose this hotel because we love our AC, however it barely worked even when it was turned down all the way. :/ There is no refrigerator, microwave, or blow dryer. Also there was no lock or real handle on the bathroom door, and the bathroom door would not stay closed unless we put a towel or suitcase outside to block it. Lastly this is not the fault of the hotel… However if you are a light sleeper this is not the hotel for you. The fire station is just around the corner, and both nights we were there multiple times they came down the street, with lights, sirens, and blaring the horn. ( I don’t blame anyone for this, I just struggled to get a good nights rest while staying in the room that outlooked the Main Street, and don’t want anyone else to have to go through the same thing).

Down near the foot of Clay Street, you can see a segment of the Golden Gate Bridge from the rooftop garden. It’s located downtown, definitely a treat if your first experience in San Francisco. Room was comfortable and well appointed. Maid service was excellent, front desk staff very pleasant, they made me feel welcome. There is a restaurant and bar connected to the hotel, but also has a street entrance. Good food, excellent selection of draft brews, and pleasant service. Breakfast was exceptional, they open at 7 AM. I enjoyed my stay. They have this AI thing they do with texting and front desk registration. I’m not impressed. Personal professional contact is what I expect for the price paid, not some computer interface. If I wanted the hostel experience I would have chosen it. Recommended.

A great value hotel. It's a third of the cost of the Hyatt Regency. Squeaky clean, no funny smells. No frills either. The free water bottles are nice. Rooms are small, shower is small with fabric curtain. It has everything you need for a business trip. If you're on a lower floor, the traffic can be a bit noisy. The connecting restaurant and bar was surprisingly pretty great.

Check-in was fast, easy, and very warm. The restaurant food was tasty and had generous portions. I also enjoyed the working lounge, plus coffee amenities. Unfortunately, the rooms were so dirty! The carpet was stained and faded, the room smelled of smoke, and there was a thick layer of dust. It was clear that the rooms were refreshed but not cleaned. The charging port on my nightstand looked sticky and dusty. And the towels were rough, ouch!! For over $800 for 2 nights, I expected a properly cleaned room.

Room T.V. claimed to connect to Bluetooth and have cable channels, room service menu on T.V NONE OF WHICH WORKED. Nor did the water dispenser work. But the water pressure in the shower was amazing. Parking free after 6 p.m., which they don't tell you.

If you're looking for luxury accommodations with all the bells and whistles, look elsewhere. But as a home base to rest and clean up during your travels, this hotel is great. Part of the CQ brand is small but comfortable accommodations for a reasonable price. This checks all those boxes. The rooms are quite small, and some of the furniture is a bit dated, but it's clean and comfortable. The staff is always friendly, and willing to accommodate what they can. The room was always impeccably cleaned, but you can opt for more basic cleaning out none at all. Tea and coffee are complimentary downstairs, and there are self-serve purified water dispensers and bottles on the floors. The location is great, in a fairly quiet, safe neighborhood but within an easy walking distance to many tourist and business sites, and to transit. Sometimes the traffic noise can get a bit loud during the week, but that would be true of most nearby hotels as well. The attached restaurant offers good food, even late, but there are other food options nearby. Judging by the mix of other guests, you can tell that this CQ location has a broad appeal, and for good reason.

It's San Francisco so real estate is at a premium... Don't expect a sprawling two-room suite. But definitely get a decent bang for your buck. Clean, well appointed... In fact my only comment so far is that they have to update their app so that it works with the new Android version that just came out. Otherwise... Great hotel for work visits to the financial district.

An excellent hotel, minutes away from Embarcadero and the Financial District, with excellent amenities and a wonderful pub on the first floor. The hotel is modern and nice: they've got all the amenities you should expect from a decent chain: office space, lounge with coffee and snacks, filtered water bottles... And also some that you wouldn't necessarily expect but certainly enjoy, like self-check-in and check-out, a rooftop lounge, and a pub. The rooms are nice and tidy, if a bit small and lacking pillows. Worst of all, they don't have mini fridges, or at least mine didn't. Otherwise, pretty great. Service is good and the staff is friendly. All in all, excellent place.

Great location and good value. It has enough for a quick stay en SF. They have a free water bottle machine that is a great idea. The only issue is that my room window was looking to an alley and the noise of the garbage truck can be really annoying.

The side tables are dirty. The showers.... I've stayed in 2 star hotels that have better. It lists unlimited bottle water... it's actually a chilled tap with filtered water. When I asked for a room with a better bathroom... they put me in a room with the same exact thing... but the TV was in front of the bed instead of to the side. Definitely not worth the money

We stayed 3 nights, Saturday through Tuesday. The location is excellent. The restaurant for breakfast nextdoor serves a good one. The room itself is small, but hey it's San Francisco! The shower was nice, every thing was clean. I enjoyed the 11th floor terrace and the first floor lounge where you can have self-serve coffee or hot tea. There was some noise between rooms, but neighbors seemed to respect sleeping times. Our floor had a chilled and filtered water dispenser with bottles. We would definitely stay here again!

Had never been to San Francisco before, so was not sure what to expect about the location, there is no need to worry. So glad we picked this location. The hotel is situated in a quiet area just minutes to the North Beach area around the corner which is lined with restaurants, bars and cafes. Fisherman's Wharf is a about a 20 minute walk and bus/tram services are also just around the corner. The room was clean & comfortable for our stay. Staff were friendly and checkout is 12 noon. Complimentary coffee & tea is available downstairs in the lounge area. Highly recommended and I also stayed in their hotel near the World Trade Centre in New York. We hardly used the bus/tram service as everything we wanted to do was within a short walk.

Amazing hotel. Outstanding service. One of the best hotels I have lived in. They offer free water bottles unlimited. Moreover, free coffee and green tea is available. 10 minutes of walk from ferry building. Highly recommended for extended and short stays.

Stay here if you hate having a clean room! This hotel only cleans your room after 3 days. I imagine they know that most of their clients only stay for 3 days or less. I don’t know when this trend of not cleaning rooms daily started (there isn’t even an option if you request it), but it’s annoying and cheap. Decent location.

Stayed here Oct 2022. The bed was amazing. Perfect. Great pillows. Room was quiet as I asked for an internal room. What makes this place special is the club area, which has a nice fire, and coffee and drinks available. So nice to have a place to work when traveling.

I had to stay here for a work trip and it was your average corporate hotel. Tea and coffee bags in the room but no bottled water. Microwave and mini-fridge available too. Shower, not tub. Black-out curtains were probably the best part. Nothing to write home about.

TV did not work. Fridge did not work. Main light constantly flickered. Carpet was dirty and not vacuumed and ripping up in corners. Paper thin walls that you could hear people sniffing and coughing through like they were in your room. Everything was quite dingy and not quality of a 3 star + hotel. I would expect this from a 1 star. I would not stay here again.

We stayed here for three nights and had a suite on the top floor. The room was nice, clean, spacious, and had lovely views of the bay. The location is excellent. Walking distance to plenty of things in the city. Starbucks is downstairs on the corner of the building, so that was very convenient. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful.

I stayed at this hotel a few years ago. My stay was very pleasant and the staff was amazing. The hotel was impeccable and came with what was essential. But the location is key, great restaurants down the road towards the pier area, great bars near by. And if you wanna Uber it's not a long ride anywhere.

5-stars and if there were 6-stars we would’ve given 6. We traveled over a weekend in March and we’re able to check in early and check out late without additional charges. Room and common area was clean. Nice gym. Free espresso/lattes everyday. Staff members were friendly. We rented bikes in the city and we’re able to store them in our room overnight. The hotel has a text message service and we asked for fresh towels via text messages. They also have complementary water bottles offered on every level by the elevators. Hotel is located in the perfect part of town because it was easy to walk everywhere and we were easily able to find our way back because the hotel is close to the TransAmerica building.

First and foremost is the location …. So safe and away from street people vivid area that you can walk anywhere the wharf , furry building china town are the closest but also it’s a walking distance to union square and right in front of it is the Big Bus if you wanna use it so no need to run after the big bus stop even cable car is close once you reach the wharf and CalTrain in case you wanna use it. Room , mine was on ocean view with red head tweets early morning such a bless , some people may complain for small room but for me is perfect as long as clean and cozy , tv is smart so you can connect your Netflix “ very important “ bathroom utilities are good . Free water and coffee even if you don’t purchase your breakfast and that’s a top add, the restaurant they have is good. That’s why I can’t give less than a 5 start especially in the same trip I was in another hotel near union square and it wasn’t good experience at all.

Fantastic, attractively priced option in a very convenient area! Stayed here for one night for an appointment at the Swiss consulate down by the waterfront. We got a family suite room with two bedrooms and two full baths, for the price of one room at the more expensive places. It was clean, comfortable, quiet, easy walk to the BART and the waterfront. Would definitely stay here again!
