The staff was so welcoming and helpful. It's in an excellent location. It was also safe - even on late nights when we walked back from dinner, and there wasn't any trouble whatsoever. People are friendly too which made me feel right at home.

Creepy Dirty Cluttered Old House in Good Location. Don’t stay here if you enjoy clean, 4*+ hotels. Photos online are very old. Overpriced for what you got @US$437./ nt for 3 adults!! Building Code Violation: bathroom electrical outlet behind faucet! Wonder how many other violations? We cringed from the decor & odour as we entered the front entrance. Greeted by the very eccentric, nice, old innkeeper/owner Sheila. She needs better staff to help her. Creepy decor due to clutter (clowns, old family pics, drapes, etc.) that had their day 50yrs ago. So much potential if renovated & given a thorough cleaning! Dusty. Cobwebs on ceilings & caked on dust on baseboards & lamps. Smelt like a mouse house. Weekday parking very difficult. Free street parking (if u can find it) after Friday 6pm to Sunday night. Breakfast not worth it, not fresh. Had oat milk that curdled in my coffee (expired 7days prior)! Limited Dairy-free AND gluten-free options @ breakfast (good smoked salmon with capers but no red onions condiment). Tomatoes had mold on tops. Blueberries mushy. No breakfast bacon or sausage. Had to make your own eggs in the cluttered kitchen! No thx. Garden Cabana too small for 3 Adults. Tripping over beds to get around furniture. Can’t open bar fridge fully as cot is blocking it! Cups/ wine glasses not clean. Had to re-wash cups in our kitchenette prior to use as 1st cup had fresh coffee stains inside. Had to scrub our countertop & fridge (cleaning staff doesn’t clean properly). No screens on patio door or window in Garden Cabana (a basement walkout room) so ventilation not great. Low water pressure took forever to rinse soap & conditioner off! Best part: had direct access to street so one doesn’t have to walk thru the creepy house! Also direct access to lovely albeit overgrown garden. Nice to have the Toto Washlet on toilet (heated seat) but it’s an elongated size slapped onto a round toilet. Bad fit. Good location near Saru Sushi on 24th St., Bac Lieu Vietnamese, Bao on Valencia, Trad Bone Broth, Whole Foods, 24th/Mission BART, Martha & Bros. Coffee Company (best zen Chai Tea Latte I’ve ever had!!). Tip: stay away from Market St/6th St. & Eddy/8th St. Don’t leave anything in parked car!

Wow! What a great stay we had at Noe's Nest. Sheila, the owner, is very friendly and took care of us the whole stay, even driving us personally to twin peaks. The garden is beautiful, the breakfasts are of quality and the rooms cozy and beautiful. We can really appreciate the personality of the owner in the decoration of the house. Location is not quite downtown but there are plenty of transportation available a few corners away and the neighborhood is beautiful and quiet so we think that is a plus. Many great restaurants in the area! Would definitely stay here again.

There are not words to express what an awesome experience it was to stay here. We stayed in the "View Room" and what a view it is! 180 degree spectacular views. Staff is beyond friendly and helpful! Great breakfast, beautiful garden and you are welcome to hang out downstairs like it's your own home. So quiet and peaceful we never knew there were other guests there until we saw them at breakfast. This place made our trip to San Francisco!

Noe's Nest is located in the far West end of Noe's Valley, San Francisco, among many other Victorian-style row houses. Noe's Nest has several great rooms to choose from with differences in sizes, amenities, and of course, price. The staff is courteous and very helpful. The breakfast is tasty and varied. The proprietor, Sheila Ash, is very welcoming and very forthcoming with great site seeing suggestions and ideas. The rooms are themed and I personally felt very comfortable in the Venetian. There is very limited local parking with a few car parks nearby. While the house isn't in the heart of any immediately recognizable attractions, there are places to see and things to do within a relatively short walking distance. Overall, I had a great experience and will stay here again if in San Francisco.

We loved everything about our stay at Noe’s Nest. Ash was so welcoming and showed us around when we arrived. We had the cabana room that opens right to the beautiful garden area. Literally could not have asked for a better location for us. Close enough to walk to the bus stop but far enough away from the bustle that we could almost forget we were in the city. Lots of cool things to see and eat within several blocks. We would definitely stay here again!

Could have gotten more for the money but all in all, it was worth it. Nice rooms and comfortable beds and bedding. Colder then I would have expected but that San Francisco for ya

Wonderful location in the heart of mission and now valley but not in a noisy or unsafe area. The whole place is full of surprises with the art and decor. Would recommend and stay there again.

Thoroughly enjoyed staying here. We came in from Australia and Sheila made us feel very welcome and safe. Is in a safe and great accessible location, easy access to city, trains and restaurants. Highly recommend this place to anyone coming to San Francisco.

I stayed in the "Chapaeu Room" fit for a honeymoon, girl's getaway, any special occasion, or just if you want to treat yourself to lux surroundings. Private balcony room, with comfortable bed, shower and steam. Lovely garden available for guests on the ground level, great full breakfast in a great neighborhood location where you can walk to many shop and restaurants. The Muni line is a short walk from the inn. Everything you need and more for a more personal experience comparable to San Francisco hotel prices.

Absolutely charming space and host, comfortable, clean and the breakfast was delicious. The house is incredibly decorated, so much that I wish I could have stayed longer just to admire all the art. Sheila was an absolute darling, sharing details about photos, antiques and fashion, all while checking in other guests and making sure all were well settled. A unique bed and breakfast - would definitely stay again!

I wish I had the same positive experience that it seems like many other people had based on the reviews. As soon as I arrived, the host made me feel like I was a nuisance and burden. She walked past me sighing and with her back turned to me said “follow me to the kitchen.” There was no hospitality like you would expect from a bnb. This is after I went out of my way to get there and check in before 4pm per their request. The room itself was also not good. There were ants crawling around, the bed was uncomfortable (could feel the bed springs), the shower didn’t look like it had been cleaned, and there was an odd smell coming from the bathroom. The walls are also super thin — you could hear everything and I mean EVERYTHING. It was a nightmare. Meanwhile, it wasn’t cheap. I paid $300/night when hotels downtown were charging around $150/night. I would not recommend to friends or family.

My husband and I recently spent two days there and we loved the place. We stayed in the cabana suite which had it's own entrance, private bathroom , and kitchenette. All three rooms were very well decorated, clean and updated. We had a lovely view of their gardens and access to the wine temple which I wish I had. We would come back each evening quite late and there were more than three lights that were sensory triggered. We will recommend to all our friends and family that come to visit San Francisco . A very interesting place to stay .......

This place is awesome!!!! I was greeted upon my arrival by the hostess and was giving a tour of this amazing home.. it truly did feel like home and I was welcomed with open arms! The home is filled artifacts of the past some dating back 60 years or more. After I was checked in I was taken on a tour of the city to which I was able to see the Golden Gate Bridge from Twin Peaks. My room was beautiful and clean and breakfast was served every morning. This place is a must stay when you are San Francisco. I will be back and I am going to tell everyone I know about this wonderful find in a amazing safe neighborhood.

Sheila is a fantastic host and this B&B is beautiful! So much art and creativity all around, photos and sculptures and more. The kitchen was well-stocked and everyone chatted and was friendly. Breakfast was delicious. She has a Nespresso machine AND a Keurig AND fresh brewed coffee. Homemade Quiche and true European style spread for breakfast with cheeses and lox and veggies. The garden is gorgeous and there's even a little wine drinking pavilion that has games. We are already planning our next visit! Our room was tiny but very comfortable with all amenities including a sound machine and a multi-prong charger device. The entire place was spotless, extremely well kept and clean.

We absolutely LOVED Noe's Nest. It is truly one of a kind in a city that's already one of a kind. We stayed for two days in the Garden Cabana room with access to the stunning garden and it was perfect. Definitely our go-to place in San Francisco from now on. And the host, Sheila, is a wonderfully kind and interesting woman. Highly recommended!

Absolutely stellar experience! We adored everyone we interacted with, and our room was extremely comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, and the host made us feel like family. We will absolutely stay here next time we are in San Francisco!

We stayed here on the first night of our honeymoon after arriving in California and I can honestly say we had the best hospitality experience of our lives. When you walked into Sheila’s home you were walking into the life of what my husband and I believe to be one of the most interesting people in San Francisco, and quite possibly the entire world. You’re immediately awe struck with the way the house is impeccably curated with pieces that tell of Sheila’s storied life. Sheila herself takes all of her guests on a personal tour when they arrive showing the accommodations/amenities and sharing stories including those of her modeling career and passion for fashion. As if the experience could get any better, Sheila makes sure to provide her guests with a buffet style breakfast each morning, in fact she prepares the breakfast (including a fantastic quiche) herself! She even offered to transport us to the airport for a small fee when we needed to pick up our rental car. We were saddened to stay in a different accommodation in SF on the tail end of our trip and all we could think about is how we wish we were at Noe’s Nest again. I don’t know if there’s anywhere in the world that compares to Sheila’s space and we already look forward to the day we return to SF to stay here again.
