I had a great time at the cat club! This place was just a few blocks walk from my hotel and so I checked it out one Friday night. It's cash only to get in, which is weird because you can pay a tab at the bar with a credit card. But there is an ATM if you need it. It's a goth club so the folks and the music fit the description. They were quite friendly and accepting of me in my business suit though. There was a DJ in the front of the club and one in the back and each were playing totally different facets of their music and both were fun to dance to. I found it to be one of the freest dance floors I've ever been on. Everyone was enjoying themselves so much! It was a lot of fun.

Tips: Bring cash Coat check costs $2 Like the 80’s vibe here. Get ready to dance wild and have fun. A big thanks to Ryan the manager for saving my jacket and scarf I left around.

We were there on NYE. The club and the atmosfere were nice. The music was fine, cool 80s music althought not many hits were played... However, the drinks were very expensive, they came in a vase the size of a shot (really) and cost 9$ plus tip. We felt cheated on so we didn't leave much tip on our next consumption. The bartender (a man in the back room) was very rude to us which really put us off so we ended up leaving. The other bartender (a woman in the front room) was not rude. The beer is cheaper than drinks (vodka, rum, etc), around 7$ around a pint.

I went to this bar the first night it opened in there early '90s and it's always been a blast I recently started going back there to fill my party need and it's been fun I think they could make some changes to make it better mainly revamping the music The '80s were filled with so many different types of music but this place only plays one style '80s Brit Pop lately some of the new DJs have been doing more of a house 80s sound which I enjoy The staff at the cut club are extremely friendly and brilliant they look out for you in ways that other bar staff don't and I appreciate that The locals who hang out there are cool and interesting there's a little something for everyone no matter what you're scene maybe I'm glad I went back to partying local and I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good time without any strings

Worst club in SoMa as someone that lives here. I came for the first time and had the WORST service. Some dancer came up to me and literally physically shoved me and my friends off the dance floor even though we had paid for the cover and so many drinks. The dancers were so rude unfriendly, and did not make this feel like a safe space. I felt so embarrassed bringing them here because I had so high hopes after hearing my friends rave about how cool it is, only to be treated like literal trash and the dancer putting their hand on my back and shoving me to the side staying I’ll be banned when I had JUST arrived for the first time. And I’m someone who identifies with the LGBTQ+ community and regular attends all the leather events. I will never come back and will just go to F8, raven bar, The Eagle, Jolene’s, Driftwood etc where they’re nicer and don’t treat customers like this. Just because you’re a performer doesn’t give you the right to be so mean, rude, and unfriendly. I’ve been living in this area for a while and have never been treated this way.

Literally the best club in SF! It’s non pretentious and hosts 80s, new wave, and goth nights that just rock. I am so grateful it exists because I have a blast every time I go.

What’s there to say? A tiny lil club venue with usually rad DJ’s and nights that blend into each other most of the time. Worth going to with friends if you need a distraction, but parking isn’t the easiest.

Great place. Worth the $10 cover. Fun dancing and good vibes. Drinks are more expensive than they should be, but the crowd makes it worth it. Don't be tempted to go next door (f8) after closing.

The best club on a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday night in Sf. Especially for tourists. Visitors love the experience and atmosphere at Cat Club. Great restaurants next door.

First time here. Their goth event was fun. Lots of 90s and 80s industrial and there was plenty of space to dance. Super friendly vibes.

Went for a New Year’s Eve party. Admission was maybe $30, I don’t recall as I didn’t pay. The drinks were nice but priced up a bit more than I was used to. The dance for was packed full of people and it was a great time!

Improvements needed: Please have some air conditioning or cooling vents, I was dancing on the floor and already felt sweaty. The club would be more enjoyable if they had a nice breezy air to flow while dancing but nope had to sweat so much,

It's not the fanciest club in San Francisco it's not the biggest club in San Francisco but they sure do. Know how to throw a party spent New Year's Eve 2021 there first time in over 20 years at the club and it was just like the first time shout out to the cat club
