We visited Sears Fine Food on Christmas morning for breakfast and a had a good experience. The service was friendly and efficient. We were seated downstairs quickly, our order was taken promptly, and our food arrived shortly after. We had the Swedish pancakes, eggs florentine with hash browns, fresh fruit, and coffee. The food tasted great and was fairly priced. It was also very convenient to find something so close to our hotel that was also open on a holiday.

Wonderful local restaurant. Really nice feel to the place. The waiters were very accommodating, especially since our group was so large. I think we had 21 people. The food was excellent and it was brought out in a timely manner.

5/14/2022...First time visit. Interesting decor. Not busy. I think the server could have been a little more attentive as he never checked on us to see how our meal was. But maybe he didn't need to as we almost inhaled our food. The lobster was a bit too hot but overall very good. The mousse cake was very sweet. Overall this is a great place to experience some classic SF. The menu is limited, but I feel everyone will find something they will enjoy. 5/15/2022... Update. Had breakfast. French toast was great and lots of bacon for a side for a very good price. Corned beef hash was so so. Very busy and noisy.

A wonderful American restaurant with great atmosphere! If you plan to have a nice dinner with fair price in the city centre, this is the place you should go. The staff are friendly. The food comes very fast after ordering. I had New York steak and it was amazing. However, I guess the best was fisherman’s platter. Don’t miss it when you come here.

This place is a gem! It has the atmosphere and service that matches exceptional food quality! It’s amazing how much this feels like comfort food that both creative and generous in proportions. The place was packed even for a Sunday night while every other place around it was nearly empty. The whole experience was enjoyable, and the nick nacks are very interesting and worth a look around if you have the time. Very solid experience all around.

Proper American dining experience. Serves everything in good portion sizes for breakfast. We've actually been multiple times 17 years apart. And it was exactly same experience everytime. Being consistent is hard. But Sears seems to manage. Great food and great service. If we're back in San Francisco we will return again.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sears Fine Dining, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was captivated by its elegant and sophisticated decor, which created an atmosphere of refinement and charm. One of the highlights of my visit was the incredible silver dollar pancakes and crispy bacon. The pancakes were flawlessly cooked to perfection, fluffy and moist with just the right amount of sweetness. The delightful stack of these tiny wonders was a sight to behold, and each bite was a symphony of flavors. The accompanying crispy bacon was cooked to crispy, golden perfection, providing a delicious balance of savory goodness. It was a breakfast dream come true! Not only was the food outstanding, but the service at Sears Fine Dining was also top-notch. The wait staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about ensuring that every aspect of my dining experience was impeccable. They were quick to offer recommendations, and their friendly and accommodating nature made me feel welcome and pampered throughout the meal. As mentioned before, the restaurant's decor added to the overall ambiance of Sears Fine Dining. The attention to detail in the design was evident, with elegant furnishings, tasteful lighting, and beautiful table settings. The refined yet comfortable atmosphere made me feel like I was stepping into a bygone era of timeless sophistication. In conclusion, Sears Fine Dining is a culinary gem that surpasses expectations. The silver dollar pancakes and crispy bacon are simply divine, leaving your taste buds begging for more. The attentive wait staff ensures that your every need is met, and the enchanting restaurant decor enhances the overall dining experience. If you're looking for a memorable meal that combines exceptional flavors, remarkable service, and a charming ambiance, I wholeheartedly recommend Sears Fine Dining. It's an absolute delight for all the senses!

Good restaurant with decent seafood selection. Great atmosphere and reasonable priced. Fairly attentive but only saw my waitress once the whole time. The lobster ravioli is my absolute favorite dish. Creamy and rich sauce and good portions. The grilled shrimp skewers were griiled just right. They had butter to dip them in. The parsley potatoes were good had cooked correctly. Melted in your mouth. Lobster risotto was lacking. Needed to be creamier and needed more flavor. Dungeness crab chowder was a weird spicy taste to it. Did not care for it. Not a bad experience.

Popular breakfast and lunch spot with fresh salads, pancakes and espresso coffee. A unique diner in Union Square across from the Beacon Hotel. Tables and red upholstered booths, a small counter with red leather and stainless steel stools that twirl. The initial effect is a bit 1950’s. Walls and counters are crowded with antiques if all sorts, photographs and furniture. The tables are clean no left over sticky residue. The waiters fast and pleasant and easily as clean as the tables! My meal was delicious and judging from the lunch rush folks round here agree. My Louie Louie salad was crisp the avacado not one bit of brown in it, the raw shrimp really tastey and deliciously fresh. I spent a long time eating slowly and tapping on my computer, and never I felt rushed or unwelcome. In fact, the waiter showed me all the antique stoves in the cafe. I took some pictures and as usual folks were a little shy. I will try another meal here before I leave and look forward to another unrushed hour maybe sitting by the window, watching the animated faces of trolly passengers, the occasional notes of some sidewalk saxophone, another sunny day in the city that is San Francisco.

We were initially headed to another place for breakfast but then saw this place had breakfast so we went in. The atmosphere was amazing and cozy! We order the Strawberry Waffle and Smoked Salmon Benedict. Both were very delicious and more than enough for two people. Would love to come back and try the other dishes next time we’re in San Francisco!

Between the two of us, my six-year-old and I ate everything on our plates, two days in a row, an unusual feat for either of us. We first went on a Sunday, I had the all-meat omelet and she had the French toast. There was a line of about 8 people outside (and a few people inside) the front door when we arrived about 10 a.m. but it went quickly Our second visit, on a Monday, we walked up and there were people in front of us, but by the time we got to the "please wait to be seated" sign, there was no one left in front of us and when they came back, they almost seated us instantly. I had "Al's special" but with bacon instead of corned beef hash and my daughter had French toast (again). She loved dipping the pancakes in the strawberry sauce that came with the French toast. The service was very quick, both for drinks and food. I hardly had enough time to take my usual pictures before the food was out. Paying with a phone required walking up to the register, but I prefer that over handing my card over anyway.

I visited late afternoon on a Saturday. Not busy and was able to be seated immediately. Although wait staff was friendly, it took a long time to get my drinks and food and cash out. Considering the area, it was more than fair pricing. And the crab cakes were a great portion considering the price I paid. I also really loved the white chocolate cheesecake!

Food Amazing!! Although service/customer service lacking significantly for us.. As a family of color, the fist thing the hostes did was walk us all the way to the back corner of the restaurant! That was a insult, and I instantly requested to sit somewhere else before we placed there. I picked close to the front. Then the service lacked, rare checking on us, if we needed anything, coffee refill once but that was it. We had to ask for napkins, and get their attention for what we made wanted. Everyone else in here were not of color, so with all do respect, that contributed to the feeling that we felt. ** After I posted this, I noticed another couple of color were here, guess where they were seated? Exactly in the far back at that table, when an Asian couple were sat near me and there's an empty table next to me on both sides and behind us. Picture of the couple added. Again, food was amazing 👏🏼 😋 coffee hit or miss. I had toast and bacon and my daughter there delicious pancakes and bacon

This Classic American restaurant has delicious food and very friendly service. The decor, music and ambience is very old and takes you back to the 70s. They have ancient photos of SF, and it's been around for a 85+ years.

Don’t be fooled by the simplicity of the dishes! We needed a meal before our flight and this place is conveniently located near Union Square and easy to find. You also pass by on the cable cars. It’s decorated with vintage posters and props inside with a fun retro bar. It’s so organized and clean inside and the servers are proper and swift. I’m glad we ordered the meal with Swedish pancakes because they’re some of the best pancakes I’ve ever tried! The breakfast was simple and that’s exactly what we wanted, because it was quick and you can’t go wrong. I enjoyed my country sausage and hash browns. Eggs tasted fresh too.

Went in at 2:30pm for breakfast, to find out that breakfast ended at 2:pm. Expressed to one of our waiters that we really wanted breakfast. He immediately went to the kitchen restaurant to ask one of the chefs and came back and said, “that we could order breakfast.” The breakfast was delicious and staff was attentive and friendly. Not to mention, the restaurant inside is clean and feels cozy. We will definitely come back again.

First time in San Francisco and I absolutely enjoyed finding this treasure on a whim. Best Cioppino I've ever had the Lobster Mac n Cheese was to die for as well as the dessert. 12/10 would recommend

I ordered an omelette here for pickup and was actually quite excited by the amount of veggies they had. The part about using liquid egg substitute or only egg whites is what caught my attention. I ordered the veggie omelette with some substitutions and ask them to go light on the cheese as well. I was really hoping to sub out the hash browns and get a side salad instead but they didn't have that option available. This was actually quite a disappointment because every other place I'm going to for branch is always allowed a substitution for side salad. For my bread I picked the sourdough. The omelette itself was quite large, which I was really happy with. The cheese was not even a distributed though so it felt like it was barely there. I could definitely have used more salt on the omelette. I don't think they added any. Overall a decent place. I would say just ask for salt on your eggs.

The atmosphere is awesome. When you enter, you will see the awesome interior and the vibe is good. The pancake is alright, not super good. But what can you expect from a pancake? One of the best interiors i have ever seen in dining restaurants.

I was in Sears Fine Food over 2 years ago, before covid, and I was very impressed with the lovely breakfast, the attention of the staff and the good value. I came back last week, and I can say that the continues to be very good and the price is very good. And the staff are very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend Sears, and I will go back on my next visit to San Francisco

Lovely restaurant near Union Square! Me and my wife have found this restaurant by chance. The place and the food were specials! We ate mixed fried fish (calamari, cod and shrims) and grilled shrims. The service was very fast and kind Absolutely to try in San Francisco
