Amazing food and unbeatable prices. Had some trouble finding it at first - it is on the second floor of a building. Went around 8pm on a Saturday for take out and there was a long wait but it was definitely worth it. Got the B Deluxe Special which was an amazing deal. Honey Walnut Prawns were fantastic. Added some pics of the menu because it was hard to find online.

THE BEST CHINESE FOOD!!! I don’t think I can say enough for Hong Kong Clay Pot! The wait is absolutely worth it! We went for dinner and waited on the steep stairs. If you have a hard time with stairs, this may be a place to have someone pick up and bring to you! It’s such a ‘whole in the wall” in the midst of China Town. As you go up the stairs you wait for someone to seat you. There are big round table and many little 4tops. We were sat on one side of a big round table with another family on the other side. We ordered spring rolls and potstickers for appetizers. We had sweet and sour chicken, sesame chicken, and a curry dish. These were spectacular! We ordered a Beef Noodle dish from seeing it on the wall and when it arrived it was NOT what was expected. So passed on eating it and ordered Chicken Fried rice. It came out quickly and was amazing! (Most of their chicken is all white meat!) They do not split bills, so if you are coming with a big group, bring cash or be ready to Venmo the paying friend. I have saved this place on my Google map and CAN’T wait to go back!

Fantastic food and very good service. It's on a second floor. Great prices. One of the best places in Chinatown. Lack of decor but that's fine because the food is 4 stars.

Excellent food. This is my go to place in Chinatown. I went on back-to-back nights for dinner and the second time I ordered the following with a clleague: Curry Chicken, Catfish in Soy Sauce, Mongolian Beef with Prawns, and Chicken Chowmein. All were excellent. This place gets very busy fir dinner, and there is limited seating space, so plan accordingly. But the servers and service is great. Will definitely revist.

The restaurant is upstairs, we were traveling with strollers, and it was a little inconvenient. But the food was good, and the honey shrimp with walnuts was great.

If you are a true Chinese food enthusiast/native, don’t go to this place. Most of the dishes are either too sweet, not very flavorful, or too gelatinous. Could be because of the dishes we chose though: beef rib clay pot, peking style pork, and snow pea sprouts. The only thing that they got right was the vegetables in my opinion. When I was out of tea, I put up my tea pot lid and the waiter was amazed because most normal customers don’t do that. Infers that its mostly foreigners who eat here. Not a bad thing in itself but it can show that most Chinese natives don’t eat at this place. Take it as you will.

Came here after reading about it on Reddit. It's been here for at least 10 years and long ago had really cheap prices. Costs have certainly increased overtime and so has their menu but it was still good food. We sat inside and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The restaurant is located upstairs so it may not be accessible to everyone. Glad to have come here once but because of the price increases not sure if I would return. Still good food though.

Going to Chinatown in San Francisco seemed daunting so I looked up good restaurants online and this one came up. I feel like there was probably something better than this out there but it was still a decent meal. It wasn’t much of a step up from my small town chinese restaurant though which was a bummer. However, it was our most reasonably priced meal in San Francisco! The shrimp pan fried noodle dish was dry and lacking in flavor. The broccoli and chicken needed some kind of starch. The steamed pot stickers were so thick and gummy but the filling and sauce was good. My husband really like the duck clay pot dish and finished off all our other plates. If I were to go back to Chinatown I would try to look a little harder for another restaurant, but this was okay. The service was friendly.

Ordered the salted fish and chicken fried rice, really good. Clam with black bean sauce also great. Would recommend both. Hot and Sour soup was missing something, tasted fine but didn't offer much. Orange Chicken was bad though. It barely had any orange flavor and more akin to sweet chicken. Would not recommend.

I picked this place for the reviews and seriously disappointed. Over-priced for what it is paying 50 dollars for the plates in the picture. This is worse than panda express and thats saying something. The fried rice had no vegetables. The shrimp was boiled with no spices. Nothing tasted good. The chow mein was tasteless. Chinese at the mall tastes 100% better than this.

Love this hidden gem. Google pointed me in the right direction. Loved the orange chicken and chicken fried rice. The walk is steep up the stairs so be careful but otherwise, I enjoyed the charm of walking up the stairs. And we sat at a window seat and loved the view down from the second floor. First time in Chinatown so it was a great stop along the way.

Best authentic Chinese restaurant in San Francisco! The owners are super nice and friendly!! Good service. Foods were delicious. Big portions. Prices are reasonable. Traditional Chinese decoration. Family business. I always like to support small business rather than going to chain or fancy restaurants. Definitely my favorite Chinese restaurant in SF Chinatown. Highly recommend it!! Must try!

Visiting SF for the first time and happened upon this place while trying to choose a Chinatown lunch spot. Immediately got seated as a solo diner at the window. Waitress was super on top of things. I chose the spring rolls (crunchy outside and almost creamy inside, would get again) and the spareribs and pumpkin (with thick white onions and beans) clay pot. It came out quick. I didn't realize the spareribs would have random bones and wasn't sure how best to eat it, but overall was fine. Slightly sweet with starchy pumpkin (also lightly sweet) to balance the savory broth. I'd get this again except maybe without meat, but it probably won't be my favorite entree on this trip. Rose tea that was free was great. I did walk past the entrance like three times... really have to see it from across the street first to not miss the signage.

Food is great. Giving it 4 star for the authentic Chinese experience. Interior is a bit old and dusty. Other than that really enjoyed the two visits here.

Cool, kind of quirky looking interior. I appreciated the traditional green tea at all the tables. The food is served family style and is DELICIOUS. The customer service was good although a bit difficult getting the waitress attention on a busy evening as it was when I went. I really enjoyed this place and would recommend to others.

This was a very CUTE place! This little hidden gem was exactly that. The hospitality made us feel right at home. Just like if I was visiting my aunts house. ☺️ The FOOD 🤤 the food was like nothing I’ve tasted before. We were automatically served a Jasmine tea which we loved. We had hot and sour soup and egg flower soup to start and enjoyed several entrees. Don’t miss it, just look for the stairs and head right on up. They’ll be happy to see you.

Decent restaurant all around. However, I wish the servers were more helpful selecting food from the menu (it’s veryyyy overwhelming). The service was good, slow at times, and the ambience overall was good.

A good spot to eat, but there are definitely many other places that are as good as it. We came in about an hour before close, and they were shutting down the kitchen 45 minutes before closing, so we had to pick our options fast. We tried the sesame chicken, quail clay pot, and wonton soup. The clay pot was the best dish we had - everything else was okay. This is definitely NOT a tourist trap, in that you get what you expect here, nothing more or less. Not a bad place to eat, but there are definitely alternative choices for the area.

I has been living in United State for almost 5 years and I visited many cities. My husband and I really love the Cantonese food and I need to say that this is best food that I eat here en all United States! It’s so yummy, full taste and delicious! If you come to San Francisco you need to come to this restaurant! The best of the best Chinese food ever! Maybe it looks very simple, but it’s full taste!

An interesting and enjoyable experience. Food was delicious Staff were hot footing around the single room. Tables were shared with strangers which enhanced the experience. One of the few restaurants open on a Sunday but well worth a visit when in Chinatown.

Excellent. Delicious. The best Chinese food ever eaten. The restaurant is small, no reservation allowed. You might have to wait few minutes but it worth it! Service is very very fast and the food is delicious. Highly recommended and I would come back once I will be in San Francisco again.

So good... we ate here twice while vacationing in SFO! Every dish we got was my favorite! We ordered the wontons, salt & pepper chicken, honey walnut prawns and pork fried rice. The sauce on the prawns was tasty where I couldn't stop eating the dish even after I was full! The S&P chicken was simple and perfectly crispy- absolutely loved every bite. Also the price point was reasonable and affordable for San Fran.

Good food, service is a little slow! Must be good as there was constant queuing. Vegetarian options are quite good and reasonably prices

I’m not sure if this place is a tourist trap or we didn’t know what to order. We had shrimp dumpling soup which was AMAZING, and chicken curry clay pot (below average, no salt and minimal flavor) and Mongolian beef which was terrible and left most of it, it was greasy, the beef cut was chewy and not edible. Super disappointed, I personally don’t recommend
