Came for brunch. Got 2 savory items and 1 sweet. They all came at the same time which was great. I asked for a coffee refill several times and finally gave up. I cannot remember in the last few years ever returning something to the kitchen but my eating companion was sure it would make me sick. I showed my server how raw the loco moco burger was and he agreed he would not eat it. He returned it to the kitchen and unfortunately I heard how angry the chef was and made eating the rest of our meal terrible. The burger came back burnt and dry so we still were not able to eat it.

This simple rustic restaurant is full of energy and good vibe. It has a semi-open kitchen, so you can see all the actions when the food is prepared, and it also has a back-yard under a tent like a German style beer garden. The food is very savory and tasty but not overly heavy. The service is great in that the attentive staff is always there when you need them, and makes excellent recommendations, but they'll leave you alone to enjoy the food, when you don't need them. Overall, we love this restaurant and will definitely come back.

Went here for dinner without reservations on Sunday night with a small dog. I like the outdoor patio area in the back. It was unusually windy that evening, but the patio set up blocked all the wind! Service was great. No rush at all. The food here is good, not salty. We ordered the grilled Moroccan-spiced lamb meatballs, pan roasted PEI mussels with chorizo, butter bean puree with herb flat bread, and mixed chicories & arugula salad with, pear, dates, smoked almonds & blue cheese. I have also been here for brunch previously and ordered chicken and waffles. Yum!

After two lousy experiences here and a five year break, we gave it another try. Overall- it was a great experience! Food was solid with plenty of great options on the brunch menu. Decent wine list. A lovely server, who was charming despite being spread really thin. The hostess was borderline hostile- not a great first impression.

Delicious meal here, the pate appetizer was perfect for a group of 4. We all had a great time dining in their outdoor open space in the back. Great service too.

Okay I am convinced that after I have tried all these amazing places I will definitely be an expert on picking places that I believe most people will really like. This is one of those places. The service was great, the ambiance was inviting and different than what I am used to and the food was delicious. We had the Butternut Squash Pizza…I know it sounds so strange but don’t knock it until you’ve tried it because it was delicious. Very different than your ordinary pizzas. We also had the bacon pizza with the fries and dip and the bean purée. Oh my goodness, I didn’t know how to act with all those unique and innovative flavors. It was just so nice to sit in such a crowded place, but only really think you’re the only one’s there eating your unique pizza, drinking your drinks and enjoying your company as you make memories. You definitely need to try it out! I’m so such you’re going to #enjoy it!

Glad to get a table around 6pm on Friday. I ordered a burger, but a bit disappointed. It was dry, wasn’t juicy and overcooked. Steak wasn’t really good as expected. Prices are reasonable. Service was good, it was a main reason I gave 4 stars. Overall experience was ok. Will come back again if I was in this neighborhood.

Came here after doing Barry's Bootcamp so this was super conveniently close and lots of reservations were available. Good: - Loved the cauliflower soup - so much flavor packed into each bowl - Fan of the Star bacon pizza - I liked the tomato sauce and bacon combo and it was good even though I'm not usually a fan of arugula - I liked the loco moco - definitely on the smaller side but the medium rare loco moco was tasty and left me wanting more - The freshly squeezed orange juice was heavenly - started drinking it and couldn't stop! - Upscale modern ambiance Bad: - The butternut squash didn't work as well for me - I didn't like the combo of flavors very much and the cheese didn't really sit right for me either Overall very high quality place and great for dates - we came for a double date and would come back - reasonable prices too.

Excellent service - fast and friendly. Delicious food - all four of us enjoyed our brunch a lot. The music was much too loud inside - if half stars were a thing I’d remove half a star, but I didn’t think it was worth a whole star. I’ll definitely be returning for more.

Loved the ambiance of this place. There are options for outdoor patio or indoor dining. Ordered two pizzas, one with eggs and chorizo and another with bacon and arugula, and both tasted great. Portion size was pretty good for the price as well. Overall, the food tasted great and service was good. I would definitely want to come back to try their brunch menu.

had high expectations coming here due to the hype and reviews but left me a little underwhelmed. everything was REALLY good but nothing wow’d me. would come again to try the other dishes, maybe they’re better. passionflower cocktail: definitely an above average cocktail. so light and refreshing, don’t know if the chocolate adds much was it was tasty chicken liver pate: bread was well toasted and tasty and the pate was yummy but nothing crazy starbelly pizza: bacon was great. didn’t really taste much of the dressing. good crust but was too thin to hold all the toppings. it ended up falling apart.

French press coffee- perfect temp and taste, Starbelly Salad- fresh and light, spaghetti- great flavor and loved the bacon and fresh pasta. Great team of individuals running this place. Personality of the Gent in the front that greeted me and took care of me on Monday afternoon definitely made my afternoon. Starbelly definitely deserves these rave reviews. Will always make it a priority to stop by whenever in the SF area.

Relaxed yet elegant spot to hangout for dinner. Food tasted great, but for vegetarians, there were repeated ingredients across dishes that made it seem like we tasted similar flavours in multiple dishes. Nevertheless, they did a great job with the taste, so would like to check them out again when there are new menu items.

I’m almost hesitant to share how much I love this place be cause I love my little gems BUT this place checks all the boxes. Has the small intimate feels, heated out door seating witch was perfect for the cool nights, friendly and knowledgeable staff(who truly know their menu). A beautiful seasonal selection so ingredients are fresh and blended to defection! The chef has exquisite pairing abilities and each appetizer and dish was its own show stopper. Our server was Chris, his personality, service and recommendations left me walking away with a very happy palate and tummy!

A lovely dinner, great service and atmosphere. I hadn't been here in years! Don't forget to pick the waiter/waitress on what they like! Recommendations from them as well as any changes with the menu. They'll know exactly what to tell you. The patio is my favorite area to sit. The plants make it feel like home, you're outside but not, the heaters go on when its a bit colder. Have a drink or two they're wonderfully mixed. Cheers!

Friendly service! We were able to get patio seating in front of the restaurant through Open Table, so we brought our dog as well. The patio heaters are very effective in warming the place up! Yummy French toast and chicken and waffles.

Order the fish tacos and the ceviche! Delicious food and amazing service. The green margarita was also very interesting. Ambiance and decor make this place such a special gem!

Good burgers, $16. Downside, you have to pay for cheese and sides, like fries. Cesar type salad was tasty but a bit on the dry side. Ginger lemonade was good.

Absolutely loved this place for brunch! I’m a chicken and waffle fiend, so I had to get that. Highly recommend. Patio seating in the back was a great experience. Good drinks, good food, good mood. My only complaint was the service could have been better. Regardless, still worth checking out!!

The food was delicious though not cheap. The service was quite good and friendly. The olives in oil are delicious as an appetizer. Everything we had was pretty darn good. Squash dumplings, halibut ceviche was bomb! We ordered the bacon pizza with arugula and the sausage pizza. Both were really good. I'd certainly recommend the place
