If you can only go to one restaurant in all San Francisco I would come here. The absolute best Chinese food I have ever had ...hands down. Also, here works the sweetest people and prices are really right.

It's a small restaurant, but cozy & fun. We enjoyed all the food. I particularly loved the vegetable dumplings. Prices are reasonable & staff is nice. Will definitely come back next time we're in town.

I love the atmosphere of mama-papa place. I love the people and the concept. But the food we got, we didn't really liked. The taro fish has a strange taste and the imitation pork was also not well seasoned with soggy texture. I'm sorry to say so, but the expectations from this place were higher. Hope other people like it and they have customers. This place looks legendary in San Francisco. Good luck with everything.

Great, simple food, all vegetarian. The hostess was really nice and welcoming. She answered a lot of our questions. We had Taro soup, ckaypot mushrooms rice, dumplings and a noodle dish. We also took sushi to go. The place was very busy fir takeouts - constant stream of people walking in for food to go. Dining area is very small but we had a good experience. Just 2 blocks from cable car museum.

We ate here every day we were in San Francisco. We tried one meal and were hooked from then on! The restaurant is a small cozy place and the staff is wonderful. They made us feel very welcomed. The food was absolutely delicious. It was fresh, all care and consideration was made when making it. We had so many different entrees and appetizer's. The Taro Root Rolls were so good. The Sweet and Sour sauce was very good. We loved the noodle dishes and the vegetarian faux meats. One can taste the well combined spices and herbs used in their cooking. What a feast for the senses!!

A lovely, unassuming place in the heart of SF Chinatown. Lucky Creation vegetarian curry is delish and Chinese beer is worth trying! Flavorful variety of vegan and vegetarian options. The staff is very friendly and excellent service. One thing to note: they accept ONLY CASH payments.

Amazing dim sum, Chinese dishes, all vegan! The Yuba rolls, dumplings, char siu Bao steam bun, sticky rice rolls, and generous portions 😍

Amazing!! Cash only so get some before you go. We got the spring rolls, chicken fried rice and chow mein. It was absolutely the best chow mein of my life! The chicken in the fried rice had a super real consistency and texture. Very reasonably priced and just an awesome place overall. So glad I found it and highly recommend!

The restaurant was really nice, with great ambiance and excellent service. However, there was one thing that bothered me. The waitress suggested a more expensive dish without telling me beforehand. When I tried the cream corn noodle soup, I found that the broth didn't have much flavor and there was way too much corn, which made it overpowering. On the bright side, they served a big portion, but it was so much that I couldn't finish it. But if you're looking for something different from the usual lemon chicken, I highly recommend trying their vegetarian lemon chicken. It's really delicious!

Potstickers and Chinese broccoli were especially tasty... And the stuffed eggplant with baked tofu entree was an interesting and yummy blend of textures. I wasn't a huge fan of the chow mein, but I was definitely a huge fan of the way this spot matched a craving for quick Chinese eats with needs for veggie options. Not my favorite, but glad it's there and would go again.

Hands down the best Chinese food in San Francisco. From soups to appetizers to the layered tofu to the crispy chow mien it's all so very good. I just wish it was easier to get to and was open more often. :-)

Great place to eat a vegan dish. Be careful as the dishes are really big. Some of them are impressive and I recommend most of all the lemon chicken!

This is the only place I know in SF that makes the wheat gluten dish like the ones in Hong Kong. I usually get their soft wheat glutens at the counter for to-go. There are three kinds, original, curry, and sweet/sour flavors. I get all three and then I would order the tofu skin rolls on the side. They are also popular on the gluten rice roll, with peanut, mushroom and carrot inside. It's perfect for a quick bite and it's delicious.

The place to go in SF Chinatown for the best vegetarian foods. If you’re new to it’s selections, ask for the mix plate from the front counter. Check their hours regularly. Be nice and be patient. It’s a family run business and had limited seating.

Yum! Definitely stop here if you're looking for a vegan yet authentic Chinese food experience. Very reasonable prices, extensive menu, and friendly service. They also have pre-made items at the front if you want to grab and go!

So much yummy food and really great prices. I love getting gluten puffs and buns to go, $10/lb of puffs and the buns are only $2 each! The sushi rolls are also delicious, I've never had peanuts in sushi before but it hits the spot. The restaurant is small which is also why I like takeout. Very nice employees, my biggest complaint is just the limited hours.

Probably the best all-vegan Chinese food I've ever had. Everything on the menu is vegan, the two ladies that wait the tables are very friendly. The place is small, that's the only downside, if you want a large group you'll need to call ahead.

I am honestly not sure how this place has assessed 4/5 stars. Maybe the standards are lower in SF, but this place smelled so bad. There was a repugnant smell of oil. Like legit disgusting heavy oily smell that seeps into your clothes. The dishes we got were #18 and the panfried noodles the waitress recommended. Both tasted off. Like so oily. The place is dingy. I honestly just don’t understand how this place has 4 stars. I would not recommend coming here. If you’re vegetarian just stay away. Seriously. It’s so freaking gross

This is a small vegetarian restaurant in Chinatown. We had eggplant, seitan/wheat gluten with broccoli, and noodle soup with creamed corn. It was all very, very good and cost $77 inc. tip. Highly, highly recommended.

Bland, tasteless food - really bad representation of Chinese cuisine. It's not cheap either, considering this place is a hole in the wall. Vegans and vegetarians deserve better.

Such a charming place. So authentic I felt like I was in China eating a meal. And my God the food is amazing! Every dish is vegan except for one which has honey I think (didn't ask, but it might be an imitation honey maybe). It's not open for long, and the hours on Google maps are wrong. Went to go twice and it was closed before it finally being open the third time I went.

A hidden gem of SF. They're cash only so prepare accordingly but it's a lovely mom and pop shop that hand makes their dumplings and doesn't go too hard on the fake meats. Everything tastes very traditional, not Americanized, so set your expectations accordingly

Very nice and polite staff. Food was really delicious!

Horrible! I ordered the vegan sweet and sour “pork” dish and a braised tofu and vegetable clay pot. The latter was average, but the “pork” dish was inedible. It was some unidentifiable, tasteless, chewy gristle-type chunks floating in a canned, cloyingly sweet red sauce with a few pineapple chunks. Not even served hot. It was just disgusting. Even the tofu dish lack any real seasoning or flavor. Pass on this place.

Omg, talk about delicious vegetarian food! We ordered pot stickers, chasu baos, Won ton soup and the meatless chicken fried rice. Everything was simply divine. The fried rice is probably the best one I’ve ever had! They served us some tea as soon as we arrived as well, which was nice. Great find in Chinatown!

I’m not a fan of different-shaped, highly processed plant proteins already, and the restaurant made it even worse by serving some items lukewarm. The staff seemed a bit impatient with any questions: I was trying to confirm whether there were any dishes with animal products. (FYI, all of their menu items are vegan.) The hot and sour soup was mediocre and full of thickener, and the kung pao chick’n didn’t taste right at all. After eating there, I didn’t feel well. I will not be returning.

We ate here twice during our recent visit to SF! We loved the food and the service was excellent too. We enjoyed the dumplings and the server-recommended sautéed black mushrooms and beancurd rolls. We visited during Chinese New Year and also tried the “nian gao” which were amazing especially when pan fried at home. The honeyed walnuts were amazing too! We already can’t wait to go back!

A wonderful spot for a quick, healthy lunch in SF. I ordered the house pan-fried noodles, and it was delightful: a toasty flavor to thin noodles, and tasty veg in a savory sauce: warm and comforting. The decor and ambiance feels very typical Chinatown, so don’t expect anything fancy, but it’s very cozy, homey and comfortable.
