It is a beautiful place. The view was very nice from all the places starting from the top, until next to the water down below and the water was as usual cold when we went for the sunset. The mixture of colors for the sunset were reflecting in the water and the sun was going down. The extra water which is inside the beach is not so clean. But good place to take some pics. There was a small cave like entrance. We can take some pics overs there as well. The hike was small and very nice. Good place to go when it is Sunset.

This place was really cool to see in person. The baths are huge and have neat caves to discover. You can hike up trails to the peak and top of the sutro bath structures. There were so many trails we couldn't even cover them all! We had our 2 year old with us which was fun but challenging up near cliffs. The ocean beach we went to next to it right after to play on the beach. Wasn't able to visit the gift shop but the bathroom facility is clean and is only open on weekends. Overall great day!

πŸŒ„πŸŒ…πŸŒŠπŸͺ¨. Breathtaking during the sunset. It was the capstone to our SF trip. It's s highly worth visiting during sunset to see the golden hour bathe the baths and the ocean. There's a little and a lot at the same time to explore in the ruins of the bathhouse. Just be careful - there may be a lot of people and it can be slippery.

I can only imagine how beautiful this place was in its heyday. Loved the walking trails to get to the bottom and around the baths. Lots of remnants to see. The cave with the blow hole is impressive. If you look closely, there's rock out in the sea with a heart in the center.

Beautiful views! The cave is really cool and has 2 views of the beach. There is a lot of parking and it’s free. Just be careful with your belongings.

This place is beautiful! It somewhat reminds me of the hidden pools in The OC mixed with Sunken City. There is free parking along the highway or there is an official parking lot up the hill. The view is gorgeous, it over looks the ocean and you're right on the shore of the beach. There is a beautiful park across the way also, you could honestly spend all day here. It was raining when we went so we didn't stay long. We hiked down to the ruins, a mild hike, kids can definitely do it. My friend did it in boots with heels, but that's not recommended. There are also stairs that lead down, but that was more work than the trail. The old swimming pools are pretty cool, there's also a sea cave nearby, the ocean is also nice to enjoy if it wasn't raining and cold we would have. There is a Lands End gift shop nearby also. It's a definite must visit while in the Bay.

MUST SEE/DO!! This was really cool. Look up the history of the baths before going. Check out historical images of crowds watching performances there. Built in 1890’s and able to accommodate 10,000 people at one time! Amazing. Take a hike around the area and see the USS San Francisco memorial as well as incredible views of the Golden Gate Bridge. Lots of parking and plenty of turnover during the day makes spots open almost continuously. The information center has restrooms. Great place to spend some time.

There’s not much to be said, what was once a huge multi pool β€œbath” house that held fresh water pools, salt water pools, and more… burned down to now what my generation has grown up with in the 80s on… sutro baths. Where we drank, smoked, and now bring our out of town family members to for a nice view of the water that also adds interesting landscapes for photography and exploration. Essentially, it’s just a nice place to look at. Went twice this week with friends on a Saturday. It was busy, the lot was full which I’ve never seen, so we parked on the street which had more parking. Sunset was beautiful. Went again a few days later with other family members on a Tuesday at 3pm and the lot was almost empty. Parking could be found anywhere, however we did note a ton of broken glass from car windows throughout the lot, just not sure what time it was. So go enjoy the view, but go at your own risk as well!

Serene, breathtaking sunset and an easy hike. Lovely afternoon spent here. Kids enjoyed. The gift shop is also very nice. Restrooms are clean and a water fountain just outside the gift shop. Plenty of parking.

Beautiful piece of recent history. This bath house was active until the 1960’s at which time it was going to be turned to a skating rink. The rink never happened and the building was severely damaged by fire. This is a little slice of heaven on the cusp of the city. Lands end neighbors this site and compliments it well with some great easy hiking. Great for all ages

Visiting brought back a lot of memories. from Louis restaurant and the Cliff house with the vintage arcade that has been moved to Fisherman's wharf. I spent a lot of time from age 10 and 25 exploring here. Worth it every time I did.

Excellent spot for a relatively easy hike. I am handicapped and was able to walk from Ocean Beach, down to the baths, and back up to the lookout without trouble. Beautiful spot for photos and dolphin watching Do not park in the lots if you have any valuables in the car. We saw several smash and grabs

Cool history and remains of the baths. Wish they were still around today. Would be an awesome bath house. Love the view of the heart cutout in the rock off shore. Made for some very beautiful sunset photos. Def a spot to catch a great sunset. Be careful and don't be one of the ones that needs rescued by being an influencer and getting washed away while taking a photo. Heard lots of accidents occur here. Keep an eye on the kiddos, many tripping hazards and sketchy areas (rusted metal remains etc)

Cool if your interested in seeing something historical, natural beauty, interesting little trail, and don't want to spend all day. Plan something else bc it's not a destination on its own unless you plan on surfing or beaching it...

One of my favorite places in San Francisco! I recommend taking a hike from here through Lands End, Baker beach and Marshall beach to Fort Point!

I had a lovely day with my friend after finding that stunning place. Also, it's easy to park here. We found some graffiti on the ground; I don't know who did it.

Great place for scenic pictures. Right next to the sutro baths area is the Lands End trail. It's relatively short but there some routes you can take; down a flight of stairs to a small beach, golf course and if you go up a long flight of stairs, it will lead you to a neighborhood that can take you to China Beach or to Baker Beach that will lead you to the Golden Gate Beach. If you're a walker or runner it's definitely doable to go to the GG Bridge. As a local, it's a great place to for a relatively short run or walk. On the weekdays it's less crowded and great to place to go after a hectic day of work. There are 3 different parking lots. Sometimes you'll see law enforcement there to deter car break ins but you should always take out any valuables and bags out of your car in the city. Don't give any reason for someone to break into your car. It usually happens quick.

Really fun little place to explore. Amazing views, refreshing air, and a nice little chunk of beach. Super relaxing place to take a pit-stop and go for a little walk/hike. I think they have some longer and shorter options, as well as some inclined access for those who can't use stairs.

Beautiful area to visit. Historic landmark with remaining structural ruins. You can walk around the area pretty freely, there are areas where you should be careful as well as areas that are fenced off but it's still gorgeous!
