I had an okay experience for a week and there were a couple great people working there who were very competent and thoughtful. It has the potential to be really great, but overall service and experience are highly inconsistent and unreliable for the high price point. There are a lot of nice people working here, trying hard and they often appear to be inadequately trained/managed for luxury product and service execution. Shower door and bathroom floors were dirty on check-in and never cleaned. I was on floor 8 and could hear lots of road noise and doors slamming on the hall throughout the night and had poor sleep due to noise and that to me is an unacceptable experience. Mediocre food at best. Decent gym. Pool and spa are not available.

Amazing experience at this location, the staff are very kind and the housekeepers are diligent. The entire team is ready to assist whenever needed. We had the Astro suite on the top floor and the view was stunning and the suite was perfect.

The doorman was wearing a trench coat, with a gloomy face and very disrespectful to people. I drove my friend to the hotel. He kept familiar drivers occupying the lane for a long time. Because the driver gave his guests a car rebate. I tried to back up and leave. His hideous face slapped the hood of my car with both hands. Very unfriendly and rude. My friends and I won't go to this hotel again🤷‍♀️

We stayed in 2 different rooms while we were at the Regis. Unfortunately, both rooms had a strong smell of dog urine in the carpet. Also, the duvet cover smelled strongly of fabric softener from the previous guests and the other comforter had dog hair on it. One room the mini fridge was broken and there was hair on the bathroom floor. These things were enough to make us not want to return to the Regis.

My husband and I always enjoy the overall services from St. Regis.Excellent customer service. Our room had a great view, breakfast dining was great and walking distance to MOMA. The breakfast sandwich, burger and coffee were over the top delicious and well worth paying the top dollar prices for it. We tried veering off at another local restaurant that did not compare in quality or taste.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this fantastic hotel, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the impeccable service and the stylish, modern design. The front desk manager, David, truly went above and beyond to ensure my experience was perfect. He was professional, welcoming, and attentive, making sure all my needs were met and that I was comfortable throughout my stay. I could tell that David genuinely cared about providing top-notch service, and he succeeded in making me feel like a valued guest. The room itself was absolutely stunning, boasting a fantastic design with a lot of leather elements. The attention to detail was extraordinary, even down to the leather trash bin. I was amazed at how every aspect of the room came together to create a chic and sophisticated atmosphere. I was fortunate enough to be given a room on a high floor, which offered breathtaking views of the surrounding area. The scenery was truly mesmerizing, making my stay even more unforgettable. In summary, my time at this hotel was an exceptional experience. The combination of great service, a beautifully designed room, and the stunning views made for a stay I won't soon forget. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking an unforgettable and luxurious getaway. My last advice for you, don’t take the shampoo bottle. They worth around 50 dollars each. Guess how I know it.

What an amazing stay! Writing this review in the Uber ride back because the stay was that memorable. I have a ton & this hotel by a landslide had the most professional and welcoming staff. Upon checking in the bellman greets you by name and walks you over to be checked in. My initial room was by the elevator and since I was presenting at a conference I wanted to be in more secluded location. I chatted with the front desk & 5 minutes later the director of operations (Alexander) came up personally to show me another room! This man needs to be promoted because he sure knows how to make a stay 5 stars. He was so kind, understanding & progressional and moved my bags over to the new room as well as running me up the new keys. Rooms are spacious with blackout curtains so you can sleep in! Aside from the perks, the staff honestly goes above & beyond to make your day special. Will be returning for another stay next time I’m in SF! Small perks of the hotel: - slippers/robes - welcome chocolate & water - free shoe shine

Excellent St Regis property. The manager is very nice, courteous, and helpful. I have stayed several instances at the hotel and he has always been helpful and polite. The butlers at the property are kind, courteous and very thoughtful. The breakfast at Astra is excellent and so is the quality of the room service dining. The hotel rooms mostly overlook the Yerba Buena gardens and see some hills in the distance on higher floors.

Great experience in the hotel and restaurant. The room was nice and the bell hop went above and beyond to get us set up and offered advice for our stay. The real winner was the bar though. The chicken dish was terrific but the dirty martini was so good that my wife struggles drinking them anywhere else now. Jose makes delicious drinks but is also very personable. Emilio was great as well and took great care of us. Breakfast in the morning was very good and was a great way to start the day. Looking forward to going back next time we’re in SF.

Location was great and room was clean and nice but they served me alcohol (a mimosa) when I requested juice and wouldn’t acknowledge their mistake or believe me and insisted they couldn’t have done it. Wasn’t planning to write a review about the mistake if they had just apologized but they handled it poorly from a customer service perspective. (This was from the manager too)

By and far the best hotel in San Francisco. Service here is unparalleled. Rooms are super modern and clean. As far as location goes, downtown SF has become a bit of a mess on Market St, and as long as you don't venture too far into the tendy, things will be fine.

Hotel is beautiful. Full of high class people. Saw a police officer pull up just to use the restroom and I like that they take care of our public servants. Centrally located. Everything you need here (Starbucks, Cellphones,Massages etc all near by). Wish my room was on a higher floor but it’s a great hotel. Doormen are on point and I have had to barely open or close our door).

We stayed here 1 night, due to bad weather during our Christmas trip to Vancouver. Nate (front desk) was really helpful with our stranded situation during Christmas. The room was very confortable and had a great view ( if you are a coffee drinker like me they do not have coffee machine inside the room, but you can access free coffee from 6:30 am at the bar) I think for a 5 star hotel having a coffee machine in the room could be a plus. The bar was great. Had Singapore sling, Bloody Mary ( St Regis Mallorca signature) and a tuna crudo which was delicious. Breakfast was good but we had a la carte.

We've stayed here several times now, both while we lived in SF (transitioning between homes) and now as tourists. It's a splendid hotel with exemplary service, gorgeous accommodations and a solid location. There are lots of 5-star hotels to choose from in San Francisco and while in many ways they are comparable, each had distinguishing characteristics like the views, location, etc. For the St Regis, it's really the service that stands out. Here, the customer is always right and they make you feel like a VIP at every step in the process. Room service is exceptional and while you're clearly paying exorbitant 5 star prices (like $10 for a glass of apple juice, and that's before the tax and service charges); the details, presentation and follow through make it generally worthwhile. They have a ton of kids menu options, BTW. The lobby is stunning, opening up into the bar and lounge areas with warm light and modern finishes. The entrance while happily visible from 3rd St is still tucked away, so you're removed a bit from the less desirable elements of SOMA.

Unfortunately the bed/mattress was not comfortable and hurt my back throughout the night. This is my second time staying here and I had the same issue the first time. Overall great customer service but the bed killed it for me since I woke up with back pain. This also happened to my friend who was staying with me.

Everything was great but the restaurant wasn’t open on Sunday and Monday. Hotel told me they have room service. But when a lot of restaurants not open in the weekend in the area, hotel has restaurant open to service his own guests would be better.

Amazing stay as always, my preferred choice of hotel in all of San Francisco as a Marriott Ambassador member. Always a friendly welcome (kudos to Michael for an excellent check in process again), friendly staff, extremely clean facility, and a great choice for business or pleasure.

Absolutely fabulous service from check in to check out. I was recovering from wrist surgery and family was in town, but I couldn't make it out to dinner with them so I stayed in the room and ordered room service. I explained to them my situation where I couldn't use my dominant hand and asked that they slice my steak and open bottles of water for me. They were happy to oblige and were super accommodating of my ridiculous (but necessary at the time) request.

Fantastic experience from start to finish. Great service. Fast room service. Beautiful room. High ceilings. Awesome vibe in lobby bar. Every associate was exceptional and I interacted with many. I Don’t write reviews often but this one needed a shout out.

I expected an exceptionally good experience at this highly rated hotel. Instead, I had an exceptionally bad one. The staff was rude, and many had the IQ of a brick. The amenities were sub par yet over priced. The room fridge was unusable. And there was trash around the outside of the building. I will never stay in a St Regis property again.

Save your money. Pool doesn’t work, no mini bar. You can get hotels for 50% cheaper with better quality. Service super slow.

The rooms are spacious and the bed is very comfy. There's a fridge and safe and the room, tv in the living room, good sized desk, and lots of closet space. They have a nice gym on the 5th floor with plenty of cardio machines, free weights, and strength training equipment. Centrally located to many food options and close walk to market st for shopping.
