Stayed here when we had to take my disabled Mom to the hospital for surgery. Although the parking in their garage is limited, they have handicapped parking as well as easy access for people with disabilities (garage area access only). The staff was very accommodating when we had to extend our stay and made it easy for us to stay in the same room even with it being last minute. Staff was very friendly. Rooms were spacious with 3 adults. We had a room with 2 Queen sized beds. Bathroom has sliding door that separates the sink from the toilet and shower. There is a mini refrigerator in the room as well as a desk and chair. Easy access to plugs to charge cell phones. Bathroom comes with full sized shampoo, conditioner and body wash in case you don't like to pack your own. All natural ingredients and you have the option of purchasing your own. If you forgot something there is a rather large list of items they can help with including converters for outlets.

Loved this room, very classy and clean. I enjoyed the happy hour as did my son since they offered him sparkling cider. Love the shampoo and lotions. I was happy to find street parking as their parking is a bit steep. I also loved the goody bag they gave us as there was no mini bar in our room. Would recommend.

The staff were welcoming and professional. We had arrived a bit earlier than expected but made sure we were accommodated. They were awesome and helped my friend celebrate her birthday by bringing up some champagne and cupcake which we loved! The location of the hotel was convenient since everything from eateries, bars, etc were of walking distance. We had a plethora of dining options and we even went over to a Korean spa for a couple hours of indulgence. I would highly recommend this hotel for their service, amenities, location, and value. I want to give a shout out for the staff team! You guys were awesome! The personal touches and attention to small detail were not unnoticed! Thank you for making our weekend so special!

Great location near the centre part of the city but far enough away to feel like you're not right in the middle of it. Good for someone who likes it a bit quieter at night. Reception staff was helpful with the best eating spots close by. Room was spacious and clean, but could use more furniture, like a second bedside table and a couch of some sort. One negative was that the room didn't have a ceiling light except for in the hallway - had to resort to turning on the two lamps. However, overall good experience and would recommend.

Love this boutique hotel. Staff are super friendly, professional and welcoming. They have a great wine hour for guests. Rooms are spacious and well decorated. Attention to detail has been made to ensure everything you need is available or can be requested. House keeping does an excellent job daily with fresh towels and the beds are remade. Great location and access to public transport. Excellent restaurants nearby. Most enjoyable hotel experience in SF. Only negative comment was the water pressure on our particular shower was poor yet the bath had excellent water pressure, but so minor. Loooove the excellent smelling soaps in the room. Will definitely be back to stay again.

Nice hotel in a great location. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed linens and towels were nice and fluffy. Coffee (with oat and soy milk) was available in the lobby in the morning and Wine during happy hour at night. It was very walkable to restaurants and geocery stores. The staff was friendly each time I passed through the lobby. I'll stay here again the next time I'm visiting.

Booked on Hotel Tonight. No heat in the room. Temp was about 50 degrees the entire time. Terrible experience unfortunately

My stay was all in all really good except a couple things that kind of disappointed me. All the pillows were feather pillows which I don't like because they're not good for people with bad necks. No support. Another thing I didn't like is that there's no coffee pot in the room. While they did have coffee downstairs, I was never told this. Didn't find out until checkout. Lastly, all they gave me were 3 big towels. No hand towels or wash clothes. Other than these things the room was very clean, service was friendly, and I would definitely stay here again. Just need to remember to bring my own pillow and ask for different towels.

The hotel building is lil old, but the room is okay and looks clean. The location is convenient to the Japan town, restaurants and coffee shops. There are complimentary wine during social hour from 5-6pm and coffee at lobby in the morning.

Peaceful and clean. The neighborhood is a great little getaway from the β€œcity” feel. Walking distance from cute shops and great food spots. Our hotel room was roomy and had a great view of the city. The shower was amazing! Great tiling and a clear glass wall. The parking was easy.

Mediocre hotel. The design finishings look and feel cheap. They only have 22 parking spaces on site so you are most likely going to have to park in a lot down the street and walk up. The staff assumed we knew the street names and were not very helpful in finding the lot. The neighbors room had a dog that barked when we entered the room. Also, the bathroom door swings the wrong way which is kind of weird.

Adorable (in $200s) hotel a good part of San Francisco right in Japantown. Great access to wonderful Sushi and Ramen. I was only there one night but saw no evidence of all the homelessness and drug use SF gets a bad rap for sometimes. The hotel was simple and nice and perfect for my business stay. I noticed numerous tourists staying there who seemed very happy even though I wasn’t on vacation.

Decent hotel with nice rooms and very conveniently located for restaurants and shops in Japantown. However I have to knock off stars for a couple of negative experiences. First: for a few days we were treated to the air conditioning filling our room with another hotel guest's weed smoke. Not ideal. Surely this would have been obvious to housekeeping and they could have done something about it. Second: my partner had an issue with an incorrectly-addressed invoice issued by the hotel. The staff member at the front desk was downright rude and refused to help fix the problem until one of my partner's American colleagues intervened. Suddenly it was possible to resolve the issue. Hmm.

Not great value for money. Pros: - Good location - quiet, but close enough to various places of interest. The area itself has plenty of character. - Big bathrooms with good toiletries. Cons: - Hotel needs some TLC. Rooms are spacious enough but not remarkably so. Lifts need to be replaced - very tired. Balconies need attention as well. - No restaurant on site - understandable given the circumstances but would be good to get a vouched for a local deli/bakery given the price and status - Underwhelming gym - No amenities in the room - had to ask for a coffee machine which seemed like an extra hassle. Was given tea pods though we asked for coffee. Took several attempts to get the rights pods. Minor issue but left a negative impression - Overall, service was not as great as what we experienced at other IHG hotels (including 3*). At this rate, you are better off booking a cheaper room at the Holiday Inn. Hotel might improve over time but currently not quite what you would expect from a Kimpton property.

This hotel serves a purpose and it didn't disappoint. Cute lobby, plain but sizable rooms with the most comfortable bed, outdoor patio, minimal fitness center, and some on-site parking (first come first serve). Overall great stay. Staff was pleasant to interact with. Location is good in Japan Town with many places to eat nearby.

I booked this hotel for my mother to stay in while my dad had major surgery. I called in advance a few times of her stay to ask about room amenities and to pay for early check in. I was told I had to call within 48 hours of check in date to request early check in. No problem. I call the day prior to her arrival (after my card had been charged for the room mind you) and the hotel # was disconnected. Called the 1800 number and found out they decided to close hotel and NOT let any incoming guests know or offer refunds. Had to fight to get money back and was left scrambling to find a hotel at zero hour when my dad was having surgery. Bad parent company, bad management.

Ended up here thanks to Pack Up and Go travel agency. Room was spacious and very comfortable. We really enjoyed the wine and sake in the evening. Good location in Japan Town but not the best if you're looking for closer to the tourist areas.

I came to meet up with friends who stayed here during the Cherry Blossom festival. The lobby is small, but nice and clean. The rooms are adequate sized, beds seem comfortable. They allow small pets too, which is nice. And they have a great location, if you want to stay in Japan town. The one thing I noticed that I didn't really like, are the sliding doors for the bathrooms... I don't think they work very well. Otherwise, I'd consider staying at this hotel

Love the wine/sake happy hour. My room was spacious and lovely. Front desk service was efficient but not especially friendly. Location is awesome, and price was right for SF. No hot tea/ coffee option in room!? My only real complaint.
