To be honest this is one of the best Traveller hotels I have found for the price. Unlike other properties the rooms were clean spacious and had great Windows looking over the city. The front desk staff was very kind and courteous. Even though the neighborhood might not be for everyone, I was very comfortable being able to have a room and a safe building conveniently located in the areas I wanted to explore.

I’m not sure how this place has a rating higher than 1 star. We liked the price and the pictures looked good, but once we got to the hotel and seen the location we knew we couldn’t stay there. It’s located in the worst of the worst in San Francisco. I wish I would have read the reviews before booking. It didn’t look safe enough to park our car, much less walk to the hotel with our luggage. We called to cancel and had to pay for the first night…a loss we were willing to take. Terrible, terrible, terrible location.

AVOID THIS HOTEL -Information misleading on all booking websites -Parking listed as included (it wasn't) and we were scammed into paying extortionate rates with their parking partners next door -Breakfast listed as included, when in fact, breakfast is a pack of 12 donuts and a litre of apple or orange juice for all guests to fight over on a first come first served basis -Dirty rooms -Filthy bathrooms -Terrible smells throughout the property Prices are low, but not low enough to warrant a stay at this property. Stay somewhere else. Anywhere else.

Rooms are really nice and really small. We couldn't even order a large pizza! We had to go with sliders for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!

I was really disappointed/upset. Dirty, burn marks on bedding, hair, stains, cigarette smell. Was really bad. Also in a very dangerous part of SF. Especially at night. I booked this hotel in a panic because the other nicer hotel I booked did not allow bicycles inside. But I had already paid in full for 4 nights and I wouldn't receive a full refund until 3 business days. So I was broke. Should've just scraped the idea and head back home 3 hours. Really glad I did not get bed bugs. The only positive thing about this hotel is the employees. They where nice.

Come to SF and do your tenderloin thing. Right in the heart of the TL. Perfect hotel if you don't want the management to be nosey. No questions asked, no cop calling, no problems. And the price for a room is as low as you can find in the city.

Nice place for a cheaper hotel. Great location. Good people working there and have fair prices. If you need somewhere warm to sleep and you don’t have much cash this is one of the better options in the area.

This is one of the SRO'S in the TL that is trying! Their service is to their patrons is 5 star. They do their best to keep it clean, safe, quiet, and comfortable. They have a few amenities which is rare in an SRO in the TL. They have 24 hour security and buzzer system. If you are looking for an economy room in the TL you won't find many better.

[PRO-TIP] ITS A BLACK BUILDING EAST OF HAYDE """RING THE BUZZER AT THE GATE""" This place is fantastic for the price. The staff are awesome the rooms fully satisfy the weary traveler, and the I have yet to see or experience any bugs! I think people exaggerate the ills of this place because it is located in a rougher part of town, but no one bothered me and I suspect the golden of rule of "don't go looking for trouble and you won't find it" fully applies here. If you're cash conscious, and are ok without more than the minimum in "nice-ities", than this is your place!

It was alright, at first I wanted to cancel and go somewhere else but I only canceled my third night. There are lots of homeless and drugs, but not too much violence, no gunshots. Everyone seemed to know eachother and there were women and children walking around. The bathrooms were filthy, no sign of infestations, room door was very flimsy, but it locked. The deli across the street looked like a good place to get some crack.

The guy was nice.. the room needed 2 B clean in a bad way.. floors not even swept. Had to lay at the foot of the bed to C the TV. On the streets there were dozens of people just chilling.. and was asked if I needed anything (drugs) by at least 5 people before I got to my room. I went to my car and had to wait around for 25 min before they finally let me in

It's an oasis of civility and privacy; blessed relief from the apocalyptic spectacle outside of the Collapse of Western Civilization. The neighborhood is...colorful, to say the least. If you're not afraid of the crazy noisiness that is the Tenderloin, it's a good inexpensive hotel. But parking, forget it--best to plunk down 20 bucks for a safe spot in a parking garage. The staff at the hotel are efficient and warm. The rooms are decent, with the basic essentials. Had a great stay there.

Staff was very accommodating, the price is reasonable and reflected the condition of the rooms. However the room was very clean and the maid came through daily.

Wheelchair accessibility... I am temporarily wheelchair-bound and that is part of the reason I needed a room. This hotel is equipped with a spacious elevator and plenty of handrails. Staff are kind, friendly and patient. They are always ready to help in and out of the building. The only snags are the front step and the need to call or yell for.someome in the office to send or bring the elevator down to the lobby level. And usually this does not need to happen as the manager usually notices when I have entered the building. Wanted to add that the place despite what older reviews have claimed, is well kept, clean, well stocked and decorated in a simple yet welcoming manor. The staff are very kind and are available to speak with 24/7. The room I was in was furnished very nicely with a TV, microwave, heater, desk, closet with hangers and a chair. But the real jewel is the bed. Most comfortable bed i have slept in in ages. And very clean. No bedbugs. The showers and bathrooms are also spotless and pretty

Only stayed here for one night. Would not stay for more. Paid extra for a room with a private bathroom. Sketchy area and super noisy at night, especially if you are by the security door like I was. Definitely not a hotel to relax and chill but if you need a place to just sleep at night, it’s passable

It's great for cheap. Located in the TL area so not a great spot. Rooms are clean, shared bathrooms. Overall not a vacation hotel but a place to get off the streets if you need to and don't have a lot of money.

This was not a stay in the hotel. If you look you can see a store. The Cadillac. Now, if you want me to rate that. Then I would have to say expensive like most everything in San Francisco.

Rooms and service and location is horrible. Please please i advice don't book it . Location is in heart of homeless people and addiction people. They are dangerous and you can not leave your car in street. They will broken window. Inside of the hotel cockroach moving. Towel and bed is not good condition. Heater doesn't work . Clerk was indian he said it doesn't matter place your car in street but we had fine with 86$ . For the first floor no elevator. After that is a very very old elevator.

Let me tell you, my life experiences have taught me a valuable lesson: you truly get what you pay for. It's a shame, though, because the staff at this place has to deal with some truly awful human beings. It's no wonder they have to be cautious with everyone. But you know what? There's this clerk named James, and he's just awesome. Every time I see him, he's got this contagious smile that makes me feel so welcomed. And let me tell you about the rooms - they're always clean and the beds are super comfy. Now, I gotta be honest with you, if you're someone who's a bit wary of being around people who aren't as well-off, you might not feel completely at ease walking around here during the day or night. But overall, it's a decent place.
