First of all our trip was great. The hotel is in a great location for a decent price. Hotel was in great shape and very typical Courtyard quality. Breakfast wasn't free but pretty fairly priced with lots of options. Big warning. Someone I had Breakfast with had their car broken into and their suitcase stolen, WHILE checking in! This is a huge problem in the neighborhood, nothing to do with the hotel but you need to be aware of it.

The hotel is in a great location to walk through Fisherman's Wharf and the rooms are nice and clean. The staff we dealt with were very friendly. I do, however, think they should have to tell you that they charge a fee if you check in early. We got there around 2 pm and asked if our room was ready and we were told that it was, but they failed to mention they charge you $58 to check in an hour early. We've had early check ins at many other places and have never encountered such a fee. Everything else was fine. I just think they should have to disclose such a fee.

The only good thing about this hotel is its location. But public transportation in the city is good and you can also use uber, so I don't think it is really outstanding and decided to give an average 3-star. Other than that, I will recommend to find another place at the same price or increase your range a little bit more. This hotel is old. Its elevators feel like they could fall any time. The walls and ceiling are so thin we can hear kids running and yelling from every direction. They also didn't clean the room while we are away. Be noted that they no longer do valet parking and let you park at your own risk at the nearby garage. While they claim that there is security, we saw absolutely none at all (still they additionally charged you on top of the room price). This place is the worst stay in our entire trip.

Nice hotel in a great location really handy for Fishermans wharf and Pier 39 as well as Alcatraz tour. Nice welcome by staff, rooms are large , well equipped and quiet. Approx 60 dollars by taxi from airport. Handy for car rental companies. Would happily recommend

During our stay, we found some questionable items in our room, which I presumed to be drugs. The staff was accommodating about it. We were offered some breakfast tickets, but my girlfriend and I still felt very uncomfortable for the rest of the stay. Disregarding the earlier issue, I'd say this was a 3 to 4-star experience. Breakfast was much better than expected. The staff was friendly, but the room had a light musky/mildew odor.

I actually enjoyed my stay and wouldn't have left a negative review till I checked out. I had my truck in valet parking right in front of the hotel. I could tell that my truck got moved more than once. When I checked out I saw that the the SUV in front of me has been parked touching the bumpers and my front bumper was dent where the license plate is. The bumper at the SUV had a scratch of where the screw of my license plate hit him. When I informed the hotel staff about this (and even I was very upset, I didn't want to cause much trouble) and agreed to not start a claim if I am not getting charged for valet parking. They handed me a receipt showing that valet parking has been taking off my bill. A few days later checking my VISA card statement I noted otherwise. I called three times, emailed 3 times, but didn't get a response the last two emails. After giving the hotel plenty time to straighten this out, I had had to dispute the overcharged amount. Other than that: - great location, rooms are very nice and clean, front staff is nice and friendly, no pool, tiny gym, the breakfast restaurant was rather a sad statement then an enjoyment. Lesson learned

Unfortunately, this hotel was a big letdown. The early-morning disturbance caused by a garbage truck at 4 am, followed by a repeat visit about an hour later, significantly impacted my sleep quality. I had a work event the next day, making it difficult to keep up with all the social events and meeting new coworkers. They offered a compensation of 3k points, while appreciated, fell short of addressing the disturbance I experienced in the morning. It would have been helpful to be warned and at a bare minimum, given something to help with the noise.

No daily cleaning. $350 per night w/ taxes and No daily cleaning. Terrible. One front desk staff had the nerve to say โ€˜Guests prefer not to be bothered by the cleaners every day.โ€™ Ridiculous. Bonvoy is clearly out of their minds if this is their new money saving policy. Theyโ€™re the ones saving the money, not the guests.

A solid hotel. Friendly service. Clean rooms. Good enough amenities. Central to a lot of touristy spots and others in San Francisco. Good enough place to stay.

Great service. Amazing price. And the location is walking distance or non expensive ride to just about everywhere in San Francisco. Room was fantastic. Will definitely be coming back when I am in town. Which is pretty often.

A wonderful place to stay. It's on a trolley line towards some attractions though I didn't really take it other than getting to the hotel. The room was nicely set up and everything was very clean. If I'm back in the San Francisco area I'd definitely stay here again!

The hotel was very clean and well maintained. The room was comfortable and spacious. It was very convenient to Fishermanโ€™s Ward and all major attractions. The staff was very friendly and accommodating with tips on where to go and where to eat. I would stay here again and definitely recommend it.

We stayed here for four night during Xmas. We booked 2 rooms and without asking they had already assigned connecting rooms for us. This was an pleasant and unexpected surprise. Most of the time when I book multiple rooms at a hotel, they put the rooms far apart from each other. The hotel is centrally located. Easy access to Ghirardelli Square, Fisherman's Wharf and the departure dock to Alcatraz. If you want to ride the cable car, the first station is about 2 blocks from the hotel which is very convenient. There are plenty of places near by for breakfast. The hotel staff was all very nice, friendly and eager to help. The one thing I didn't like about the hotel is the valet parking price. We used the valet service for our stay and I think it is overpriced compared to the prices I saw at nearby hotels. But overall an excellent stay. If I come back I would stay here again and recommend it to others.

Hotel in need of an upgrade. Staff were friendly and nice. However it did not make up for the age of the hotel, noise from outside the hotel late at night and the paper thin walls inside the hotel. I could hear people walking in the room above me and the Sound from the TV from the rooms next door, not to mention the doors slamming shut all the way down the hallway.

Dissapointing. The don't honor the BonVoy Loyalty perks. No room upgrades, no complimentary breakfast, no 24hr stays. However, location is great, easy acces to Hyde Park and Fisherman's Wharf.

Beautiful and clean hotel. Great views (even if it was just the city streets). The area was pretty nice, prime location near Fishermanโ€™s Wharf and felt safe the entire time. The hotel is near Jones Street where the public transportation runs. Would stay there again & recommend!

Good location. The male front desk clerk who checked me in told me because i have an upgraded room and they dont have many of them, i have to check out at 2, but im ambassador and it s compulsory 4pm. I just didnt want to argue even if he was wrong... his boss has to train him better

Ty so much to Dennis! Sorry had to update the review! I had a customer to pick up at the time I was writing the review. =\ But, I really wanted to add that Dennis at the front desk was really awesome! He gave great vibes! Also I needed to pee so bad, and I just dropped off a customer here hoping the front desk would let me use the restroom! He was very humble when I asked Dennis and at around 4am, it was such a relief that I was able to use the restroom comfortably. Thank you Dennis! Keep up the Great Job!๐Ÿ’ฏ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ’•

My wife and i loved our stay here. To start off the location is amazing. We were so close to pier 39 super quick walk from the hotel. The walk to Ghirardelli square was beautiful and so close. The outside of the hotel is clean but i canโ€™t say the same for some of the surrounding businesses. All of the employees were very kind and helpful. I had a very good and helpful conversation with Harris working valet. He was very nice to talk to even helped with naming some good local places that i hadnโ€™t seen on travel websites. My wife was always talking about the cleanliness of the hotel room, and how she hadnโ€™t felt as comfortable as she did here at any other hotel. Overall we loved our stay and plan to come back in following years to come.

There were a lot of good things about this hotel, but one massive deal breaker. There was a contact lens sitting right on top of one of the pillows in our room! Disgusting!!! They sent someone up to do a "thorough cleaning," but they didn't even take that pillow out of the room or replace it. So I don't think they cleaned up much. Things like this make you doubt everything else they do. "Cleaning" the room and offering me points are not compensation enough. I will not stay there again.

Staff was very caring and friendly but the room itself was very very disappointing. When making the room reservation, we asked for an ocean view that we never got. The room had absolutely no noise cancellation, in fact you could hear everything from the other room next door, because of the shocking thin wall that separates the two rooms. Parking is over 40 dollars per night that we never were aware of, that is a building next to the hotel. I would recommend checking with the staff and doing some research like reading these reviews before going to hotels.

Sarah and Jaimme have been wonderful. They have defiently shown the Marriott service. I had special request to make so my stay would be a little more comfortable and without even batting an eyelash these ladies performed above and beyond what was expected. The location is just perfect to see the Fisherman Wharf but not directly down into it which was great when you wanted to get away from the touriest sites. Great walking distance to the Bay Bridge and Orical Park(SF Giants baseball) The rates were fair and the rooms were nice and clean. Room staff were quick and very helpful when requested. Cons....wish breakfast was included like other hotels of the same caliber have and i was dissapointed in the valet and the lack of respone time needed to actually get your car. Defiently will stay here in the future.

Hotel staff are friendly, and management goes the extra mile. I accidentally doubled booked my room, and they allowed us a fill refund, which they didn't have to at all. Location is perfect and rooms were clean Would stay here again!!!

Our overnight stay here has been great. The staff have been extremely friendly and forward thinking. Upon check in we were asked if we would like extra bedding items. After we got lunch and came back to the room the extra items were there. The breakfast kitchen staff were great. The food was good, portions good, service above and beyond. Brought to our table by both staff members with all condiments. A lot of tourist trap related and some interesting items within a decent walking distance. Covid and the state and city regulations have caused many restaurants on the pier areas to go out of business. ๐Ÿ˜ž
