The Frontdesk in this Hotel is fantastic! People are so friendly and helpfull! The Rooms are small and old. Depending on what you are looking for, maybe the right thing for you. The location is really good. Next to the italian quarter and china town. To walk to Pier 39 it takes just 15min.

This hotel was a little tough to find, especially during a busy weekend in the city. Prior to, I did not know there is no parking, so I had to park 2 blocks in a parking garage. At least the garage was next door to a police station, so I felt more comfortable with that. Immediately upon entrance, I felt taken back in time, but in a good way. You have to walk up a flight of narrow stairs, and walk down a narrow hallway to get to the desk. Robert, the soft spoken receptionist, was very friendly and welcoming. Keys to the rooms are real keys, not card keys. My room was very quaint, with a vintage flairThe room was very neat, and clean. There is a lingering scent that tells you it’s an old building, however, it was not overwhelming. There is no AC, but it was not needed with this time of the year. The one knob wall vented heater works great! Bed was super comfy, did not want to get out of it the next morning. No breakfast, but there are plenty of cafes just steps away with wonderful food. My stay was only for one night, but I would definitely return again. I truly appreciated the unique experience.

Room 207 was quiet with a view of Coit Tower and the smell of fresh pastries from the cafe below. Great location! Basically at the corner of Chinatown and Little Italy. 15 minute walk to Pier 33. Farmers market Saturday morning on Greenwich. Parking garage a block away. Lots of cafes and shops right out the front door. Staff was as eclectic as the period correct hotel is. Comfortable and clean room for my daughter and I to stay. Would definitely come back.

Stayed here for a conference. This hotel came up in the exact area I wanted to be and the price/location were both good. This hotel is not what you want, if luxury accommodations are what you need. This hotel is more like a great place for single travel when you want a quiet and convenient location. While staying here I never saw or heard but maybe one other guest, even though the hotel was fully booked. If you stay in the front of the building, you will hear some street noise and night life but honestly I like that so it was welcoming background noise while asleep.

Highlights: decor, clean bathroom, friendly staff, some great food nearby in Little Italy and Chinatown Lowlights: no elevator, Columbus st is extremely loud (ear plugs necessary), saw a mouse, tiny pillows, window extremely heavy / difficult to open

Great place to stay in the heart of North Beach. Clean rooms, comfortable bed, excellent customer service and a bargain. Will definitely be back many more times!

The place is very charming and in a great location. The staff is also lovely. That being said the rooms are way too small and the amenities are scant especially for the price. I would not stay here unless you’re solo and won’t need a fridge, microwave, or iron.

We had the best trip, this hotel was great. It's not a brand new place and doesn't have a/c but with the window open the breeze felt great. Its almost like stepping back in time for a hotel stay. We loved it. The staff was very accommodating. Please note: there is no on site parking. We had to pay for parking every night down the street. It added up to over 200 extra bucks.

This is a marvelous, quirky, stylish hotel. There is a tiny entrance on Columbus Ave, and a flight of stairs up to the main level. It is a quiet, comfortable place, where the rooms are nicely decorated as if straight out of the 60's beat generation. Photographs, art and quotes from Jack Kerouac decorate the walls and halls. I stayed four nights for a technical conference, and had breakfast at 6:30am around the corner at Cafe Trieste, another quirky place that has a loyal following among the locals, excellent coffee and a juke box stocked with songs from the 40's and 50's.

Funky boho vibe from this lovingly kept Victorian hotel in north beach. Tiny but eclectic rooms with high ceilings and huge windows. Walk to amazing Italian eateries. Pastry shop next door a plus!

We loved this quirky hotel with beat history. Located in North Beach, quick walk to many must see locations. Friendly and accommodating staff. Room 206 was very quiet. Ended each night with a complimentary nightcap!

This hotel is in my favourite San Francisco neighborhood. Lots of great italian restaurants and cafes, and just down the street from City Lights Book Store. The hotel staff is very friendly. The hotel itself is very clean and has a great decor, not at all like what you normally get in a newer boring chain. High ceilings, subway tiled bathrooms and bay windows were great details that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Nice authentic Hotel, we loved our stay. Service was good, every thing clean. It's an older building in the City. the rooms at the front are brighter but louder. there are smaller and more spacious rooms. you feel a bit transported back in time. Breakfast opposite at El Greco is recommended. also very authentic.

LOVE Hotel Boheme! We've stayed here several times over several years. Hotel Boheme is the place to stay in North Beach. Central location gives guests easy walking to all that North Beach has to offer. Rooms are super clean. The atmosphere inside is peaceful, artistic, colorful. Rooms facing Columbus Street offer views that remind me of what a Bohemian city this part of San Francisco was back in the day. Rooms facing the interior of the hotel are pretty much a blank slate. Staff at Hotel Boheme are professional and knowledge about the area. Early evening they put out a bottle of Sherry with glasses for quests. No charge.

This place is awesome! Customer service A+++!! Accidentally made a reservation for the wrong day and missed out on our stay. Charles was very understanding and allowed us to stay during our correct dates free of charge since there were rooms available. Karma is coming your way Hotel Boheme. Thank you!
