This is a quintessential B&B that has everything you could possibly need to make your stay absolutely amazing! It's nestled in a very quiet and unassuming neighborhood. From the morning breakfast to the daily wine social, I cannot say enough good things about this place. The courtyard is a super cute place to relax and enjoy the outdoors and the complimentary WiFi helps you get work done while you are enjoying the space. There are many different room layouts, but the one I had was very spacious with a queen bed and a shower that could easily fit five people. It's an easy 10 minute walk to the Castro where you have all the bars, restaurants and entertainment you could possibly need. I will try to stay here every time I'm in SF.

A ridiculously idyllic bed and breakfast in a wonderful location. Trendy neighborhood, wonderful restaurants in walking distance, and near public transit while away from the excessively touristy areas. Couldn't be happier with our pick of places to stay. While it can be hard to resist the call of the city, the breakfast and wine social are both pleasant to meet experiences in their own rights due to other guests from all over the world. The staff is also top notch, peasant, welcoming, accommodating, and knowledgeable about the area.

We felt welcomed and comfortable from the moment we walked in. After a long flight we had a nice hot shower, robes, and brandy by the fire. Breakfast was really nice with fresh coffee. Staff were friendly and welcoming. We will be back!

Wonderful rooms, location, and service. We were there for only a short stay but felt valued by the staff in every interaction. And the garden is gorgeous!

Delightful small hotel in a quiet residential neighborhood with coffee shops, great restaurants and a lovely park nearby. Beautifully curated rooms with breakfast included. Lots of common space in the gardens and cosy sitting rooms by a roaring fire. Perfect spot to stay a few days while you explore San Francisco. Plus the innkeepers are warm & welcoming. Five stars!

I first stayed at this property in 2007 and enjoyed it immensely. That is why I chose to stay there again when returning to San Francisco in 2023 with my partner. I was not disappointed. The staff were so friendly and helpful, they go out of their way to accommodate any requests or queries you may have. The rooms are well appointed and very reasonably priced. The inclusion of a very well catered breakfast is fantastic, especially given how locating and paying for an extra meal every day can add up (especially the case given the Australian dollar exchange rate). Plus the afternoon social drinks give you an opportunity to meet fellow travellers from all around the world. It gives the property the feeling of a home rather than just another hotel room. Finally the location is perfect. Located between the Castro and Mission districts with Mission Delores park a stone throw away, you get a real vibe of the neighbourhoods. City bound light rail is just outside the front door as are busses and trams bound for all the major sights of this great city. I would definitely recommend the Parker Guesthouse to any visitor to SF. Sean

I booked this place for my parents when they came to town to visit, and boy was I glad. The place is too cute, and it has a resident pooch; being dog lovers, the parents were enamored. The rooms were beautifully decorated, they were a good size, and everything was splendidly clean and bright throughout the house--there's also a nice area outside to read or hang out. It's well located (by the MUNI rail, close to cafes and restaurants), and the people at the front desk were beyond nice.

A great place to stay in San Francisco! Very clean and flowers everywhere, and very friendly and welcoming staff. Room was very comfortable, location was very convenient. The wine hour was a great opportunity to meet other guests and socialize. The breakfast was very good. Highly recommended place for a pleasant stay.

Parker Guest House- Great B&B at the edge of the Castro next to Dolores Park. Home-like setting with common-space living room complete w/ fireplace, cognac, and books; kitchen with fruit bowl and pastries round the clock. Great serve-yourself breakfast spread and wine/cheese/snacks in the evening. Lovely garden courtyards. Loved the ease of grabbing a snack and sitting outside in-between activities. Very laid back vibe. Clean rooms. We stayed a week and helped ourselves to towels in the linen closet down the hall, asked for cleaning just when we needed it. We used the attached parking garage and lot for a few of the days- also very convenient! We were able to add another day of parking when we decided to keep the car an extra day. Great location for walking to Castro or Mission.

I recently returned from a 6 day stay at the Parker GH and I cannot recommend it highly enough! This place hits all the high notes that a traveler wants - fabulous location, friendly accommodating staff, spotlessly clean rooms, and the most comfortable beds and pillows imaginable! The grounds and facility are the real high point - two huge Edwardian adjacent inns with the most amazing gardens sandwiched in between. There is no shortage of places to sit and relax and enjoy the ever-changing San Francisco weather, both inside and out. The nightly rate includes a plentiful breakfast of pastries, fruit, yogurt, coffee, tea etc, which you can enjoy in the main house kitchen with other guests. Or as I did, you can go into the second house smaller kitchen and enjoy your breakfast alone - OR you can sit in any of the lovely spots outside! They also offer a complimentary wine social (wines, cheese, crackers, etc) every evening for an hour. The location is one block from Dolores Park and minutes from the Castro. Public transportation is right on their doorstep with the convenient J Muni bus. Many other neighborhoods are within walking distance. I will definitely be going back to this place on subsequent trips to San Fran. Highly, highly, HIGHLY recommended.

I love the Parker Guest House! I'm a 70 year old man who stayed at the Parker House with my wife only one night this week, and we both wished it was longer. The house is beautiful inside. It's actually 2 houses, and every detail is done perfectly. It's not modern, and that's part of the charm. It's got wi-fi and all that, but it's got Old World charm - lots of dark wood paneling. Clean is an understatement. Carol and Brian, the on-site managers, are charming, knowledgeable, and helpful. Carol is the house florist and landscape architect. The flowers, the gardens are incredible. She knows her stuff and it shows. It's very professionally run. Well worth a visit.

Dennis at the front desk is amazing. Beds were comfy, the space and amenities were nice, and the backyard is gorgeous! Free breakfast and a complimentary wine and cheese hour, 5:30-6:30 I believe.

AWFUL service. and communications. We arrived at night and were surprised that no one was there to let us in. No one answered the buzzer on the gate. Or the call or texting. NADA.. (They knew when we were arriving so why isn't anyone there to let us in) We stood outside in the street, dark, freezing for 40 minutes. Finally the manager shows up and lets us in. She notices I'm not looking happy and says let's be positive and focus on enjoying the future or something to that effect. She explains she was eating late dinner and had a rough day. She never apologizes. Why can't they just say sorry they screwed up. She had some weird attitude. While we were outside waiting, a neighbor walked by and told us that no answer is not unusual at this guest house.

This is a wonderful place to stay while visiting San Francisco. Feels like you're at home! They have thought of everything from the wonderful breakfasts and wine happy hour! The patio areas are gorgeous. The staff is very helpful and friendly, too. Highly recommend! We will definitely stay here again.

Such a gem of a find. I've lived in the Bay Area all my life and have stayed in many of the finer hotels of San Francisco. We just happened upon the Parker Guest House because we were looking for a place close to where we get our hair done. Staying there is like stepping back in time into a beautiful and luxurious Victorian home, with all of today's amenities. They have really kept the integrity of the period of the home. It is beautiful, clean, the bedding is high end, the staff is so friendly and really care that you have an enjoyable stay and the gardens are lush and peaceful. I don't have to be getting my hair done to stay at The Parker Guest House anymore.

We really enjoyed our stay. Great location - close to restaurants in the Castro, etc. We stayed here because it was close to family in Noe. Staff/hosts were very gracious and we appreciated the evening wine social. We'll stay here again, hopefully this fall.

Great place to stay if you want a true San Francisco experience! Brilliant location, close to the Castro and a Muni stop which takes you to the pier in about 25 mins. Rooms are historic and fully of personality. Loved the feel good communal breakfast and wine socialising! We’ll be back. Special shout out to Robert who made us feel super welcome!

We were looking for a place near the Mission District to visit family and so lucky we stumbled upon the Parker Guest House. From the first call gathering information until we were rolling our suitcases out the door, it was a GREAT experience!!! The room was clean, quiet, well appointed with conveniences and comfy chairs to rest or work in. The breakfast was great and very COVID-respectful (individually packaged, etc.). The living room off the lobby was so cozy - I sat with my computer to watch a movie one night, and my husband enjoyed the piano! I had a friend over for coffee in the lush, beautiful garden and another day, brought my laptop to get work done. Strong WiFi throughout! But what REALLY sets this place apart is the people! THANK YOU SO MUCH GEORGE, Dennis, and Carol for ALL of your tips on how to get around, where to go, etc., and warmth throughout our stay. We felt like we were HOME with none of the responsibilities associated :) Love Parker House & will definitely be back!!!!
