I was super underwhelmed. Perhaps I ordered wrong but for the price and location, I was expecting a lot more. The cheese plate was very good, delicious options and a honey foam that was really interesting. The tuna tartare was just average. The salad was good, but a overdressed. Overall, a lot of room for improvement.

The food looked beautiful and so was the restaurant. Everything tasted fine, but wasn't anything special, or even memorable, particularly for the high price. I went on a Saturday night and only 4-5 tables were occupied, which should've been an indocator. Again the food was ok but for the cost, you won't get nearly your money's worth. The only exception was the chocolate dessert, which was wonderful.

Very pleasant breakfast spot. The food is excellent. The ambiance is not as grand as the lounge, but it clean, attractive, and pleasant and the quality is very good.

Nice decor and ambiance, a bit quiet for a Saturday night. Food was great - can't complain but not so much of a wow factor. The octopus was a highlight and the halibut. Service was good .. we were the for our anniversary and they gave us a hand written card signed by the staff 💕

Parallel 37 is our favorite S.F. restaurant(we have lived here 43 years). We always enjoy the food and its presentation. The service is outstanding. The ambiance is to our liking and we can actually hear each other in conversation! Wine recommendations are excellent with interesting options including international vineyards previously unknown to us. We celebrated a "big" anniversary here with family and friends. The event was perfect!

Service was excellent however the food was moderate and ambiance poor. We celebrated our anniversary there and they provided a complimentary glass of champagne and small desert. The lighting was overly bright and atmosphere was more hotel buffet than cozy romantic.

We came here for a late lunch once, and (while perfectly enjoyable) my feeling was that this is more of a dinner place. Lunch was served in a large, bright room outside the restaurant. The menu was quite limited, featuring only various essentials. I had the spaghetti pomodoro, which was pretty tasty. Service was very friendly. Nice spot if you want a quiet lunch away from the crowd.

The best all-around dinner value for your buck: rivals all the best restos with flavor, presentation, ambiance, casual service, without the pretention and hype. Portions are perfectly sized (3-course rather than a gazillion) with great wine selection and pairing, really an understated hidden gem in SF. Been here twice and 2 for 2 excellent meals and service so it is consistent. Lamb and pork loin was amazing, as was everything else. Super friendly down to earth staff, and noise factor was perfect. They truly deserve more notice.

I wish I could say this met my expectations but I was really hoping for more. I had a quail appetizer followed by a duck breast entree. Both were very good--excellent flavors and cooked to perfection. I ordered a couple drinks from the bar, unique but not earth shattering. My wife had a caesar salad and steak. The steak was tender and tasty but served with poor presentation. The meat looked limp and unappealing. For dessert we had a chocolate cake, port and coffee. I'm torn because the food was great, but something was missing from the experience to make me feel satisfied shelling out the money for a restaurant in the Ritz.

Generic at best. Menu was very limited. Overly expensive. Great if you have dining credits. If you're spending your own freedom dollars, then go elsewhere and thank yourself and your wallet. What I will say, is the service was mostly top notch, what you would expect from the Ritz.

We have been staying here overnight from Saturday to Sunday for some years, attending SF Opera and having Sunday breakfast. The Ritz used to offer either a free breakfast or points for Marriott Bonvoy Platinum members, and we always chose the breakfast, which before the pandemic was excellent and beautifully presented. The coffee was downright bad, tasting as if it had been sitting on a burner for some time; but I could order tea. The Ritz no longer offers the free breakfast, and the food has taken a sharp turn for the worse--inferior ingredients, zero attention to plating. The coffee is still terrible. The bar used to offer excellent drinks with stylish garnishes. Last time we had drinks they were missing the edible garnishes on the menu, and not as good but at least as expensive as before. We are disappointed. The service used to be excellent--we had a standing note for a tea kettle and mugs to be put in our room, and this used to happen. No longer--we called the desk on the last two occasions of our stays, and they were never brought up. Points off.

No one does it like the Ritz, son! 5 stars for all of it: the food, decor, and service. These peeps have got it down, never been disappointed here. It had been several years since had been to the Dining Room at the Ritz, it's transformed into a very modern and artistic Parallel 37. The same elegance and world class service is there, just against a very pretty new backdrop. We did the 3 course prix fixe and it was epic from start to finish: 1) SASHIMI OF HAMACHI (Monterey abalone, nori, meyer lemon) Bomb dot com. The sashimi melts in your mouth, so tender and fresh. 2) HAND CUT LINGUINI (morel mushrooms, bloonmsdale spinach, pickled ramps) - Very nice. The only thing that was maybe just very good versus epic; just a bit simple but still well balanced and flavorful. 3) 32 DAY DRY AGED RIBEYE (short rib ravioli, summer squash, sweet corn) Wow. Just the most tender, perfectly aged and grilled steak, heaven in every bite. They also threw on some foie gras for me upon request, that took the dish over the top! Ireally vwish we remembered to come here more often, such a great experience all around. July 2015.
