Run, don’t walk to get here! The BEST pizza ever! We absolutely loved our pizza from here. Our first time to taste this pizza and we were blown away. The toppings, the sauce, the crust…SO good!! We also ordered a salad and it was perfectly tossed and so fresh. Great service. Outdoor seating. What’s not to love?!

During Covid I ordered Tony's pizza a few times and finally got a chance to go to the restaurant with SO and a friend. It was my first time there so I read yelp reviews about the wait so I made sure we got there super early (4:30!) and we sat outside in one of their parklets. My friend from out of town is a vegetarian so we ordered 3 pizzas; 1 large one with meat and 2 vegetarian. We ordered: Garlic Bread: Usually when I order garlic bread it's bread slathered with garlic butter. But this garlic bread had roasted whole garlic cloves on them (YUM) and came with marinara and chopped garlic and olive oil to dip said bread in. New Yorker (Mozzarella, hand crushed tomato sauce, natural casing pepperoni, sliced Italian fennel sausage, calabrese sausage, ricotta, chopped garlic & oregano): This was from a 1000 degree coal fired oven and cooked perfectly. The slightly sweet fennel sausage was so good and contrasted with the salty pepperoni. This was my favorite pizza so far. Margherita (This is limited to only 73 a day and a pizza cup winner in Naples): I really enjoyed this. I liked the simplicity of this pizza. It may not have all the bells and whistles like other pizzas but this was just as flavorful in my opinion. Vegetarian (cherry tomatoes, peppers, black olives, white and green onions, mushrooms, goat cheese): My friend enjoyed this a lot, there were a lot of veggies on there and I almost felt healthy stealing a piece from him.... My friend loved his pizzas and I was happy that there was something for everyone. By the time we left it was really crowded so I made a good call for getting there early .

It was a busy Saturday night but we joined the queue and we were seated in half the time we were quoted which was nice. Staff were friendly, the menu extensive and the atmosphere buzzing. We ordered the Jersey Trenton Pie and it had the best Tomato Sauce Ive ever had on a pizza. The chocolate bread pudding was so good also! Highly recommended!

I would rate them a 4.5 if I could, as I reserve 5 stars for the very best places. That being said, Tony's serves great food. There was a long line as expected but we were given a digital queue number so we could head off somewhere else while we waited. Got seated much sooner than the timing given to us, which was great. We ordered a New Yorker and a Bucatini, really delicious and the portions were huge. We had to pack what we couldn't finish.

Visited in Aug 2023 Did someone say ‘best pizza in the world’? 🙂 Well, it was definitely one of the best pizza places I’ve been to. I went with the sole intent of trying their signature Napoletana Margarita pizza which they only make 73 of every day. I can confidently say it is the best Margarita pizza I’ve ever had. Good desserts too. Good, fast and efficient service too. This place seemed to always have a queue, esp. during peak lunch or dinner hrs. So go at a time during late afternoon for a smaller waiting time. A 100% recommendation for anyone visiting San Francisco. A meal at this place must be in your plan.

The pizza is great. They have a wide variety of ‘styles’ from thin, deep dish, Neapolitan, etc. so there’s something for everyone. We got the squash blossom appetizer (8.9/10). Super freshly battered. Loved them. We got a half cheese/half pepperoni Neapolitan style and it was awesome. Best pepperoni slice I’ve ever had. The tomato sauce is very flavorful and the crust has a nice crunch. Liam, our waiter, provided us with perhaps the most memorable, professional, educational experience.

We come here quite often to eat in and take out. A San Francisco MUST try and staple for locals too! They host a huge menu of a wide variety of different styles of pizza, Detroit, New York, Sicilian, to name a few. Many of which are award winning, deservingly. They’re crust is incredible, especially the Sicilian one. Coal fired oven, quality ingredients, a must try! Seating available inside and outside. There is always a line up outside, sometimes the wait can be over an hour. They also have a to go joint right next door if you want to take it to go. I would highly recommend trying the pizza right as it comes out of the oven though - different experience entirely. On the pricey side, but you get what you pay for. You shan’t be disappointed!

Great pizza spot in San Francisco little Italy district. There always a wait to be seated, but it’s worth it. We ate the pepperoni pizza, spaghetti and meatballs and fried calamari. Overall our family enjoyed the meal and experience. I highly recommend you give them a try when you’re in the neighborhood.

12/10. Best pizza I’ve ever had. Got the New Yorker and a margherita. Also enjoyed some cheese free garlic bread. The agave dip is NEXT LEVEL. Had a great little cocktail to start. The pizza… the FRESHNESS and quality can’t be beat. Can’t wait to go back and try another award winner.

Wow, the food here is delicious! The tomato sauce is really fresh without any acidic taste to it. The pasta had a great chew. The meatballs in the spaghetti were so good too. Staff are good and I saw how family they treat the regulars. The SF local on the plane suggested this restaurant and I will also suggest it to everyone too. Great place.

The food was extremely good. I ordered and enjoyed the vegan Spicy Pianta. They also have a delicious chili olive oil that you can purchase in the restaurant. My dining group joined the reservation list and ended up entering the restaurant almost half an hour after our reservation time and ended up waiting a couple of hours in total. If you reserve far enough ahead, this probably won't be an issue for you, but we were very hungry and eagerly awaiting the delicious smells of pizza, so the extra 30 minutes took a toll on our appetites. Good service and atmosphere, long line for the bathrooms. Very popular spot and the food is well worth it.

We were seated promptly when our party was completely there. It was smart because we had one member who was looking for parking for a long time. We sat outside and felt we had sufficient distance from others. Their salads are really worth it based on price and size. Pizza is always good here and they are served on beautiful platters. It’s great to have many options for pizza styles

Excellent food. We visted San Francisco and we follow the reviews for this restaurant and we love it. We order the pizza Margherita ( my favorite) and pizza New York, spaghetti meat balls so yummy and Cannoli pistachios and chocolate perfect dessert to finish the day. Our waiter was very polite and the suggestion for wine was very good. I will just put a little smile on the hostesses when you ask for a table.

Great pizza. We went at 7 PM on a Thursday and still had to wait 2 hours, but it was well worth it! Will certainly return to try other options, this time we had the New Yorker.

The food was amazing! The staff and waiters treat you very well. The atmosphere was very friendly. They treat you like family which I really enjoyed. The pizzas are light, yet they fill you up. The food does take more time than other places, but it is truly worth it. I highly recommend this place for people that want to enjoy award winning pizzas and appetizers.

Delicious pizza at an icon SF pizza joint. Place gets busy but the wait is worth it. Had the Sicilian which had delightfully fluffy crust with savory toppings. $40 felt a bit steep for a single pizza though you could easily feed three if not four people.

We waited about an hour for our table, granted it was a Saturday night and we showed up at 7pm so we knew what to expect. There is always a huge lineup for this place on the weekends and it’s probably because they have such a large selection of pizzas so you can find what your looking for. We tried the New Yorker and it was amazingggg, the taste, texture and topping were all perfect, highly recommend that pizza. We also had the calamari which was okay, nothing special so next time I would just get the pizza only.

This was a busy but fun place with great service , great drinks and even better food! We sat at the bar and got served right away. The cocktail I had I could not pronounce, but it was good and strong. My husband got a gluten free pizza and I got the margherita pizza. I was thinking that the crust would be more crispier, but it was still good. I didn't realize that right next to it you could get pizzas by the slice. Our bartender/server was fantastic, but I cannot remember his name. We will be back.

The pizza is excellent. Sorry guys not sure it's top 20 in the world but definitely above a lot. Staff are really fantastic, accommodating and friendly. I would happily go back and eat here again!

On November22, 2023, It was my first time here and I must say my palate was very happy! I highly recommend making reservations, especially if it's near a holiday. If you happen to add your name to the online waiting list, make sure you CHECK IN at hostess desk upon arrival or they will delete your name from that list! We ordered the New Yorker pizza and the Spicy Grandma pizza, a Caeser Salad, and 1 giant meat ball. BRANDON wasvery attentive to us and always made sure our drinks were always filled. His kindness, efficiency and customer service ŵas greatly appreciated. The hostess, MARISA (sp?) Greeted us warmly with a sincere smile and graciously seated us after waiting 45 minutes for a table. Please commend them for good customer service. We were very satisfied customers, thank you so much!

Tony’s Pizza Napoletana is worth a visit, probably the best pizza I’ve had in SF 🧑‍🍳🤌💋 The Cal Italia was definitely my favorite of the two pizzas we ordered. The balsamic glaze really made the pizza and the crust was crispy enough that a slice would maintain its structural integrity even when separated from the pie. La Regina says it’s serves 2-6, but I think it is closer to 4-6! The focaccia crust was lighter and airier than I expected, but still a solid 1.5 inches thick. Toppings were fresh and the sauce had the perfect amount of heat. The corner pieces were more bread than topping, but we were able to rearrange the toppings a bit to account for that! My friend and I stopped by around 8:30pm on a Thursday and there was about a 20 minute wait. The place is cute and definitely kitschy! Reminds me of an Italian grandma’s house. There were some nice features like the bar and secondary eating area, but the high end vibes were slightly watered down by the cheap Christmas decorations. Although the rainbow disco ball light was out of place, it did make the restaurant feel more homey! Service was solid. Our waitress was helpful and answered all our questions. There were a couple times when I was looking for our server so I could get a water refill and when I wanted to get a box for the leftovers. This didn’t leave a bad taste in my mouth, but I thought it was worth noting!

Excellent service and excellent food. Definitely worth the visit when in San Francisco. The grandma pizza is fantastic so show up early as they only have a limited quantity per day.

My friends have been here in the past, and they thought that I would enjoy their pizza! And they were right, I liked the chewy thin dough (oh so good!) and sweet tomato sauce!! We also ordered meatball dish as well as glass of red wine each. We had another pizza to go, and they baked it 3/4 way so we could finish baking it at home! What a concept it was!! I wish there were more of us so that w e could try more variety of their pizzas…maybe next time!

This is a famous Napoletana style pizzeria which serves the Italian style pizza that has fluffier, softer and chewier dough. I'm a huge fan of Napoletana style pizza so when I heard about this place that obviously has some recent hype because it was listed as one of the best pizzerias in the world. Do I think it's good? Yes, but it's definitely not worth the extra price they charge on their pizza because you can find very similarly tasty Napoletana pizzeria even in the Bay Area and I know even one that imports the dough from Italy directly. The Margarita pizza (which is the one I'll recommend for Napoletana) is very pricey at $25+ that's more than 50% higher than say the average price of $16 for 12" Napoletana style pizza in Bay Area but definitely not even 25% better. However Tony's definitely has the fame so it can charge what they want and they have a huge collection of other styles of pizzas so you can choose other styles that suit your fancy. Oh the calamari is very nice with big chunky pieces. However I do have the gripe for service and it takes a long time for anyone to come to even give water or take orders but then maybe they can claim that's because they are busy. In any case, I'd say this is more of a tourist spot so you can decide whether to come here or go to other options such as Rise or Napoletana in the Bay Area.

Super sad gluten-free experience. In a hurry and had to get it to go. I'm sure all the regular stuff is good but I paid about 40 dollars for a soda water and a 7 x 7 inch square of bread and tomato sauce. All of the meats were mostly raw, including the sausage, so I had to take all of it off. I realized after leaving that they forgot a few of the listed toppings and when I inquired about the crust options and mentioned I preferred thin crust and chose the Sicilian over the Detroit style it was still almost 2 inches thick. I was so excited and wanted to love it but I was bummed. Regular people should probably still try it but my gluten-free friends should look elsewhere.

I came late afternoon with my daughter on the weekday around 4:30 pm and got the outdoor seat right away . We ordered New Yorker Pizza (Mozzarella, hand crushed tomato sauce, natural casing pepperoni, sliced Italian fennel sausage, calabrese sausage, ricotta, chopped garlic & oregano): from 1000 degree coal fired oven and cooked perfectly. The slightly sweet fennel sausage and contrasted with the salty pepperoni, great combination and taste very good ..
