Everything from the cod to the crab was fresh out the water tasting. Portions were very generous and could even be considered family size. Definitely a plus knowing you’re getting what you pay for. On top of the food, the wait staff was fast, attentive, and went above and beyond to make our meal special (shout out to Jose).

We paid over 130 bucks for the meal. That was quite disappointing overall … this place is overrated and we will not come back there again. We ordered a combo including shrimps, mussels, and a crab. Shrimps were salty but still acceptable. Mussels were ok. But crab was definitely below the average. It’s not even fresh. I was born and raised in a seashore town which makes me kind of an amateur seafood critic. The cuisine was not bad but material…ughhhhh Fairly, clam chowder was not bad.

Proof of vaccination is needed for indoor sitting. As you enter, you’ll see a warm and cozy fire pit bar. Their interior design and decorations are lovely. There are also cutely decorated crabs that are individually painted and dressed up. Everything we ordered was delicious. The award-winning crab chowder was good! It goes very well with its sourdough bread. I love it and highly recommend it! For rice lovers, you have to try their crab fried rice. Everything they included just blends in so well. Their crab and shrimp fettuccine were creamy and so tasty. All seafood was fresh, and we enjoyed them. Our staff was friendly and attentive. He said that they can valid 2h parking if customers are parked at Pier 39 garage parking. That’s worth $20 on weekdays and $24 on weekends.

This was our first time visiting and dining at the Crab House and it was phenomenal! We arrived as the restaurant was opening and were allowed to pick our own seat which was a plus, especially with the view. Our full course meal was delicious and priced fairly to boot. James the bartender and our server for the day was also very welcoming and provided outstanding care. We can’t wait to visit again!

This place was superb! Everything we ordered tasted very fresh. The crab cakes were wonderful! No overpowering taste of seasoning, they were just perfect! The fish and chips were fried to perfection, not over or under fried at all. The steaks were cooked right ( one rare and one well-done). The dungeness crab was so good, the flesh was so flavorful. Heck, even the chicken tenders were fried to perfection lol. The bathrooms were clean and the servers were friendly! A+

This restaurant is amazing! There were 8 of us in our party and we recieved excelllent service. We had two different waiters constantly checking up on us and refilling our drinks. Our food was hot, delicious, and came quickly. Everyone in our party was amazed at how delicious everything tasted. The steaks were cooked to perfection and the seafood was to die for. We definitely recommend this place and hope to go back.

This place was awesome! We had the plates for 2. The crab was perfect. The bisque was to die for. I also had the crab fried rice. I highly highly suggest this item. It was so good I ordered more to go. The views were so appealing, and beautiful on a lovely afternoon like we enjoyed.

THE BEST CRAB CAKES IVE EVER HAD!! Every bite of food was pure perfection! The bread was fresh, the soup was amazing... They even brought my mom out a piece of cake for her birthday (which is one of the best pieces of cake I've ever had)! Our servers were so responsive & sweet. Can't wait to visit Pier 39 again for this place!

The Crab House was unexpectedly delicious! Seafood was fresh with aromas spilling out of the kitchen. David, our waiter, made dinner service very enjoyable. Crab meat was juicy and well-seasoned. Mussels were tender with a side of melted butter. Save room for dessert, as they have a few house specials. Prices were reasonable for a Pier 39 restaurant with a killer view. However, it's definitely the dishes and staff that makes this restaurant continuously packed!

This place is so good. It's definitely worth the price. Our server was so nice and gave great recommendations. The pasta with crab was phenomenal it had what felt like a whole crab in there, lol. Will definitely go back next time I'm in San Francisco

High wait time due to an extremely busy afternoon a week before Christmas on a weekend. We waited for around 1.5 - 2 hours for 2 tables for 15. Kind of expected so it's probably okay. Food was great but a bit salty. Expected more meat on the famous crab feast. Was left a bit disappointed. Loved the cod piccata but again a bit too salty. Garlic fries were nice and seafood pasta always delicious. But the salt level made me give it 4 stars.

This was the best experience I've had in such a long time. Our waiter was superb! She was so attentive to our every need. And the food was top notch. Our crabs were fresh, moist and full of flavor. Their garlic noodles were delicious, along with their crab chowder and crab fried rice. And their drinks are not bad at all. I can't wait to come back.

The food is amazing! I had the crab and shrimp fettuccine, crab cakes, and an old fashioned drink. The service was really great, he took time to explain everything and always made sure we were doing well. The last picture is the combo for a single person. Definitely worth going too!

I’ll start with the good. I was seated right away at the table of my choosing. My server Vanessa was a star. She was very prompt, polite and attentive. The presentation of the food was great. I wish I could have pulled out my phone quick enough so you could have seen him pour the sauce over the seafood to create the steam on the hot skillet. It was a nice touch. Now the bad. For the price, I was somewhat disappointed. 😔 I don’t know if you have noticed, but seafood is my favorite type of food. It’s funny because the women seated next to me asked if crab legs were worth the work. HELL YEA they are! It seemed as if this seafood was not cooked to order. I concluded this from a number of reasons. My order was on my table within 5 minutes of me placing the order. When I got the food, my crab legs and mussels were dried out. It reminded me of crab legs at red lobster that sat under a heat lamp for an extended amount of time. The shell of the mussels and crab legs were so dry that they crumbled when I cracked them. It was hard to enjoy the meat because there were crumbs of the shell in every bite. I should’ve sent them back, but I’m not one to be difficult. Le sigh. My bill says 3/2/23 @ 4:32p.

The restaurant is very lovely and I enjoyed my stay here! The only thing that disappointed me was the pasta. It was pretty bland and was not salty enough. The dungeness crab was very tasty and the clam chowder soup in the bread bowl was amazing as well. The view from our table of the ocean was beautiful and the atmosphere of the restaurant is lively and really neat! The bathrooms are kept clean and the floor are clean as well. Totally recommend this place for a date night or even with friends :)

Customer hospitality is excellent. The servers are so kind and take care of the customer carefully. Foods are also delicious but the price is a little bit high.

Hello! This was absolutely amazing :D! First of all, we were seated right away, and got a window seat with a nice view. We got water super fast, and the waiter was very nice. In addition to that, as we were ordering a crab and a single combo meal of seafood, the waiter pointed out how we could get a combo double that included the crab and the combo for 30 dollars less. AMAZING :)! The food was super good, especially their crab chowder, crab cakes, and of course, their crab. Their crab came with a nice stand, making it just the bit fancier. We also got a crab fried rice, and a seafood pasta. We finished all the food, as it was super delicious. Another plus is they give you crab shell-breaking tools, so you don’t have to break the crab with your own hands. Finally, we got a super scrumptious tiramisu for dessert. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend this crab place. Although it’s a bit more pricey, it is definitely worth it. Thanks! 🙃

Loved the view by the window, we got a beautiful sunset and watched seals playing while waiting for our meal! Definitely recommend the calamari, very fresh and delicious. The burrata cheese and tomato was super fresh although the bread was very hard. The oysters were mediocre and didn’t seemed to be cleaned well, would recommend eating oysters elsewhere. The whole crab, shrimp, and mussels were so so worth it though. Also, the garlic noodles and shrimp paired really well with the crab. The server could’ve been more attentive, he kept forgetting to bring things like water, napkins, etc. Overall, the bathroom and restaurant was clean and had a nice atmosphere. Great for smaller groups. We drank a lot of tea to help digest, would come back!

Excellent views of the bay and Alcatraz as well as an outstanding menu. We all enjoyed our meals as well as the server, James R. He was attentive, made great suggestions, and answered questions. They also have an excellent selection of local beers on tap as a bonus. Sourdough bread bowl is amazing, the crab was FRESH and the noodles were delicious. If you are a Caesar salad snob, please do yourself the favor and order it. It has fresh anchovies and was the best Caesar I've ever had. Fire makes it cozy. A++highly recommend!

This weekend was Restaurant week and we decided to go to Crab House. This is located on the second floor at Pier 39. We made reservations at 7:30 PM but we got there earlier and was able to get in by 7:10PM. Crab Cake: you can really taste a lot of crab in this crab cake! I've had a lot of crab cakes before but this is by far one of my favorites! 10/10 Combo Shellfish Skillet: This dish came with half a crab, shrimp, mussels, and two sauces to dip. I loved the butter dip with it! The entree was really good and the crab has a lot of seasoning in it. I would recommend getting this! Creme Brulee Cheesecake: I like this dessert since it had the right amount of sweetness and pairs well with the whip cream. Service was very friendly but the way food is being brought out can be improved. There was 3 of us in a group and 2 appetizers were brought out and then 1 entree was brought out after that. A few minutes later 1 more entrees came out and we were still missing the 1st appetizer. The servers were nice and apologized but there should be some organization with this.

The waitress was friendly. The crab chowder came out warm, The crab burger and fries were not cooked to order. I rarely send food back, but I have to send the cold fries back. The shrimp platter came out fresh and sizzling. I recommend you stick to their specialty shrimp and crab plates if you eat there. Great views and a nice restaurant to experience. The staff was good and prompt on addressing the minor details.

I highly recommend this place although it is mostly overcrowded especially in weekends. For a party of three we ordered half crab, crispy calamari, a crab chowder cup, and a seafood pasta. The quality of food and service were great and the prices were moderate for this kind of food.

Didn't have reservations for the day and was sat at the fireplace. The service was slow but kind. Got the signature garlic crab. The sauce on the skillet was delicious and I wished I'd had more in which to dip my crab. The garlic pasta and roasted vegetables were large portion sizes, but could have used a bit more flavour.
