A lovely, friendly church. It’s very pretty inside. Instead of paintings they have mosaics. I love the stained glass windows. When we were there they were playing Gregorian chant.

Gorgeous, historic church. Take a cab or ride share or a bus. Parking is very difficult. Better to pay for a lot than get tickets or towed. Church can be difficult for elderly or handicapped as there are a lot of stairs. Call ahead. Great Salesian community, parish, school here. Rich cultural heritage, solid education. Great place to worship at Mass, go to Confession, or sit in silence to pray. Very inspiring architecture and interior. Lots of public transit, restaurants, businesses nearby; also the famous National Shrine of Saint Francis. Located in historic Gold Rush and Italian neighborhood of San Francisco. Easy to walk or ride to Wharf, Marina, and other great tourist areas such as Coit Tower, just up the hill.

A beautiful catholic Church close to the Washington Square and in walking distance from the Beat Museum and City Lights Bookstore. The Church is a good place to pray, for silence and quietness. It is moderately decorated and solemn. Worth a visit if you are interested in churches ans spirituality.

Not a Catholic, but an admirer of Catholic buildings and devotions. This church is exceptional. Very well maintained, very reverent inside for worshippers to come and have a moment of peace.

The heart of North Beach, the Italian neighborhood. Pretty church and great park in front where people live to hang out. Sodinis restaurant is very close and the best Italian restaurant in the City

One of San Francisco's most beautiful churches. It's a great place for worship, contemplation and meditation and prayer. Regardless of one's religious affiliation or lack thereof, it's worth a visit just to admire the art work.

Beautiful Roman Catholic Church. Unfortunately I could not attend the church service, but it seemed well-maintained and open-to-public church. The church is a religious facility and I believe only those who can respect it should be allowed to visit. But if you are, this must be a good place to discover another historic side of San Francisco.

One of the most beautiful churches here in SFO. The service was solemn, and the priest who officiated the mass had a sense of humor. The deacon delivered a beautiful homily about the parable of the wheat. The woman who sang was like an opera singer. I can envision myself coming back to this church on my next visit to SFO.

This beautiful Catholic Church has huge stain glass windows, vibrant Italian paintings, and breathtaking statues! If you're Italian, I recommend attending the noon mass on Sundays. It's a bilingual mass in English and Italian. This was my first experience hearing a mass in Italian. It was truly beautiful.

A lot of people who visit San Francisco don't realize that San Francisco has a lot of beautiful churches and Temples. The church located in San Franciscos North Beach community is nearly a century old and once largely served San Francisco s Italian American community. Masses are still held in Italian and Chinese and English . Heavy Italian influence in the design and layout of this church. When you walk in you feel like you're in a Italian Church in Italy .

This was an extremely special place to pray. The Altar simply looks amazing 🤩 in person. I was in awe. I said several rosaries at this place over several days. The priest said this was the most beautiful church in San Francisco and I have to concur. I loved it 🥰

This is a beautiful old school Catholic Church in the heart of North Beach on Washington Square. Open all day, it's a lovely, calm place to pray.

This is a beautiful church, especially at night when the lights are on! The inside is beautiful too. It's a pretty big church and the park outside is pretty nice.

The church is wonderful and really big. I have never seen a nativity that big. The place is a expected: nice, quiet clean etc. But my only comment for the place is that there are signs that says "candles 5 dollars". I was not sure if lightning a candle that already is there is 5 dollars or if I can take the candle with me. lol
