A visit her for first time. The Club is very historic and has beautiful rooms and designs the stairwells have an old smell so perhaps the carpets need to be redone as they were worn and had a moldy smell

I visited San Francisco for the first time after a weeklong business trip in Idaho, and stayed two nights at the University Club of San Francisco, as a reciprocal club member of the National University of Singapore Society. Choosing the University Club of San Francisco as my accommodation in San Francisco turned out to be the best travel decision I made for this trip. The staff were very friendly and helpful. For example, when I asked if there is any place nearby to have an early breakfast - before the official breakfast timing - as I had booked a day tour leaving at 6 AM, the staff went the extra mile by bringing me some snacks to consume on my way. I was also expecting a package, and the front desk not only agreed to receive my package, but also informed me as soon as the package arrived. They also helped to look after my luggage well, so that I didn't have to carry all my luggage to Sacramento and Los Angeles when I left San Francisco for three days before returning to San Francisco. I really like the historic feel of the entire Club's architecture. There were also paintings showing various universities including Columbia University, my alma mater. I stayed in a Standard Queen room. The furniture were traditional, but looked very well-maintained. The room and the bathroom were both clean and organised, and there was even small cupboard room to keep my jacket. Due to my tight travel schedule, besides staying in the overnight room, I only managed to utilise the gym, and went upstairs to the third and fourth floors to enjoy the nice view of the city on the morning I left San Francisco. But I realised the Club has so much more to offer. I'm sure I'll stay here again the next time I visit San Francisco, use other facilities such as the Bar & Grill.

Great Hotel - beautiful and very clean rooms with a great view. Windows can be opened and there are fans in the room. Large and comfy beds and they are quick to accomodate special request. Hotel is ideally located and offers a good breakfast buffet. Special thanks to my man AJ for taking good care of us.

The staff is great and very helpful! Nice location at the top of the hill behind Union Square (if you have some disability plan to get there by car since the hill side is pretty steep!). The building is really nice and well kept. Nice views from the breakfast hall. Selection of breakfast food is extremely limited.

I've had the privilege of capturing unforgettable moments at various San Francisco venues, but my recent experience at the University Club of San Francisco surpassed all expectations. Situated in the heart of the city, this iconic wedding venue provides the perfect backdrop for a truly remarkable wedding day. One of the highlights is its rooftop terrace, boasting panoramic views of the San Francisco skyline. The University Club's staff demonstrates exceptional professionalism and attention to detail, ensuring that every aspect of the wedding day ran smoothly. As a wedding photographer, I was delighted by the plethora of picturesque spots for capturing breathtaking images. The timeless charm of the club's interiors provided a sophisticated backdrop for intimate portraits, while the rooftop terrace offered a unique setting for group shots against the captivating San Francisco skyline. In addition to the stunning aesthetics and exceptional service, the venue's central location in the heart of San Francisco made it easily accessible for guests, whether they were locals or from out of town. Its proximity to renowned hotels and popular attractions added to the overall appeal of choosing the University Club as the wedding venue. The blend of timeless elegance, breathtaking views, and top-notch service makes it a standout among San Francisco's wedding venues. If you're seeking an iconic setting to tie the knot in the city, the University Club of San Francisco should undoubtedly be at the top of your list.

The University Club SF is such a stunning wedding venue. The views are incredible and the space has so many lovely vintage touches. I photographed a wedding there and there were so many beautiful spaces for photography. Highly recommend if you are considering getting married here! So looking forward to photographing a wedding here again soon.

It's a little old school and in need of some upgrades. Yes historic, blah blah blah, but a leaking steam line out side our window, lack of AC and shower vent, and next to no outlets makes staying here a little rough. There are some beautiful event rooms and plenty of places within walking distance. (Be prepared for an uphill walk back) Staff is nice, although they are super flaky while booking. Messed our reservation up two times. They need to streamline things.

The University Club was a wonderful venue for our wedding due to its amazing staff, unique space and location, and high-quality menu. As many reviewers have rightfully mentioned, Yvonne was such a wonderful partner in helping plan and execute our wedding there, and our wedding planning process was comparatively stress-free due in no small part to her. The rest of the staff, such as the office and catering staff, are also super friendly and professional. The space itself very much fits the Nob Hill aesthetic, and has multiple spaces for guests to mingle after dinner, such as the dance floor, bar, and balcony, creating a very dynamic environment. As big eaters, we wanted to ensure our guests left dinner heartily satisfied, and the University Club really knocked it out of the park. We served the rack of lamb and half chicken, and folks still remember and rave about the food. As an all-inclusive venue, the University Club ticked off all of our boxes - space/location, food, and price point - and still managed to surprise us by the high level of coordination and execution by their staff.

Yvonne was incredibly responsive, detailed, organized, and professional. She and her team ensured that everything ran smoothly and that our guests were well taken care of through the entire wedding .They provided exceptional catering service from start to finish. The team was incredibly professional and attentive to the guests needs, making sure everything was perfect on the big day. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. We received numerous compliments from the guests on how amazing the food was. And the bar team kept the whole crowd happy all night long!

Visited overnight. Great location for jumping in a trolly and exploring the city. Cool 4th floor bar with magnificent view. The concierge, Fred, was fantastic and shared a lot of information about the building's history and gave us a tour. Breakfast was a continental buffet, typical as one would expect. Rooms are clean and unique with little sitting rooms.

This is such a historical building which used to be the All Press Club where many iconic people have visited, including Robert Kennedy. It has two floors that have two full sevice bars and wait staff. Great for private party's and events.

Nice, small, and adorable hotel with upscale classic style and cute rooms. The bathrooms have been updated, but with a lovely vintage feel. It was clean and quiet with helpful staff. The bed was very comfortable. Very close to Chinatown and other attractions and great restaurants. Just across the street from the Tonga Room, which is a fantastic tiki bar. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

My friend was a member and brought us here for dinner and drinks. Must have a collared shirt, not a problem at all. The facility was very nice, the building itself was expertly maintained and the history that is housed inside is interesting and full of life. I went on taco Tuesday and it was great. The food selection was superb and the tacos were excellent. The wine selection is great and we had some great wine. The waiting staff was amazing! Super friendly and so helpful. I would become a member if I lived in San Francisco.

A great place to get married. This venue offers great views of the city. I like the woodwork inside. Looks like an old school rich frat house. Definitely a historic building with rich character in the decor. Get the most out of your bay area wedding and tie the knot while watching the Blue Angels zip by during the week of Memorial Day.

Super cute venue. Came for a wedding and was very impressed. Gets warm inside but each floor has its own patio.
